View Full Version : The "other" fat

Sometimes when entering food into Fitday, I get some food with something like 6g of fat, and when I go down the line, they just don't add up. 1g of sat, 0g of trans, 0g of mono and 0g of poly. What other fats are there? If I see a label like this, should I assume the other 5g of fat are good fats or bad fats?

does it actually say 0g for poly/mono or is it just not listed? I think you're only required to include sat. and trans fat on food labels so it could be poly or mono

1.2 (1) sat
0.0 (0) trans
0.2 (0) poly
0.2 (0) mono
Could it just be the rounding of numbers?

No they like, have 0g down for the others. the most if could be is .49 since it says zero, but it doesn't add up. I will find some examples later.

Could you provide some specifics like the actual food, the ingredients, the full nutritional breakdown etc.
