I realize that each grocery store has there own meaning of the word extra lean hamburger, but every site I go to ranges from 7 to 17% fat. Any ideas on Canadian extra lean beef.

I think it's going to depend on each individual store you go to. Ask the person behind the counter.
Most of the packaged meat has nutritional values on them where I shop.

I have seen 97% lean hamburger beef before but I wouldnt trust "extra lean" unless the stats are printed on the label.

Next to none of meat here in Canada has info on it because the cattle is cut up and packaged on site.
