No wide grip pulldowns EVER!
Shoulder-width or narrower. Wide grip takes the stress OFF the lat and places it ON the rotator cuff. It's been covered on wbb elsewhere if you need to read more on this.
Don't get me wrong, I realize pull-ups are the best and I do them all of the time.
But as far is lat pulls go, I like Built's advice but I'm uncomfortable with an overhand grip at shoulder width. So instead I use one of these at the gym...

Can I just use this for lat pulls? The total width is about equal to my shoulder width. I'm assuming there's no difference between an overhand grip and an outside grip.
