Ok, I do sprints a few times a week and theyre rough.. when starting from rest, I am able to explode much better when i hold my breath but I know this isn't good to continue holding after you start off. Once you start the sprint, how exactly are you supposed to breath, if that makes sense? I'm hoping to find some sprinters opinions on this..

Olympic sprinters take on average I believe 3 or 4 breaths in a hundred meters. You're supposed to exhale hard on the start and then take a couple breathes a couple of the ways. You shouldn't be huffing and puffing throughout the sprint.

When you are at the start of a sprint, you want to take a deep breath, count one-onethousand, then blast out, when you do, you should exhale. After that you brething should be normal. As a matter of fact, dont even think about breathing while you are sprinting, just relax, let it come naturally. Relax you jaw, cheeks, neck, and shoulders. Dont get tensed up, that causes bad form. How far are you spinting?
