View Full Version : Dreams Drive the Machine

The motivation of this journal will be those ****ing dreams I've been having. Don't know weither to call them good or bad ones. But they are there on a constant basis. This is a new beginning to lifting.

Backround: Just got through with a cut. Got down to a decently lean 175. Feelin a little small so I'm gonna throw on some serious size hopefully. Heres hopeing. Pictures could not be done as I don't have a camera. But will try to attain one soon.

Moviation: I'll be back on later to put in my back workout. No excuses, just bad memories and anger will drive the machine this time.

Diet: I'll be on a bulk starting at 4000 calories a day. Alot of that coming from protein. No set number. I'll be keeping my carbs toward the start of the day.and fats toward the end. Protein throughout. The majority of the calories will come from liquid sources. probably 3 out of the 4 thousand.

Rep range: For the most part I will be sticking between 8-10 sometimes dipping as low as 6 and going as high as 12. But no higher or lower than that.

Routine:
Back
Legs
Off
Chest and Calves
Shoulders and Traps
Arms
Off
Also I might alter that in roughly 5 weeks. Just for a change of pace.

I'll be running this journal for 112 days or 16 weeks. Stay tuned for hopefully some scary ****.

In some regards (pretty much all of them really) your strength amazes me. I probably couldnt get one single db row out with anything bigger then a 90 and here you are bustin out reps with a 150.

You have to be lookin jacked brother, after that cut you just did.

Gutz981
08-01-2006, 08:15 AM
I dunno about jacked lookin but I am leaner than I was. Whichis a good thing. And as for strength I contribute that to the year and a half a dedicated to powerlifting. reps were 1-6 constantly.

Holy- Thanks man, I dunno if they have gotten all that much stronger but I hope by the time this journal runs its course, They should increase significantly.

210 would be extremly sweet I'm not gonna lie but at my height 210 would probably come with a good amount of fat. Even with Clean diet and stuff. But **** 210 yeah I'll keep it in mind if 200 comes easy 210 just for you buddy.

Weight: 178 during the day. In the morning I have no idea.

I'm an all natural bodybuilder at the moment.

Lemme know what you think I need to work on. Or just what you think. Thanks.

Shoulders and traps: Today was a drop set/Concentration day
DB shoulder presses: Touched shoulders on everyrep, with a slow negitive so the weight suffered a little bit.
70sX10
75sX8
80sX5

Stand db side raises: reps were done with a smooth up and a slow negitive
30sX10
30sX10 drop 25sX8 drop 20sX8 drop 15sX8 drop 10sX8

Front raises:
30sX10
30sX10 drop 25sX8 drop 20sX8 drop 15sX8 drop 10sX8

Rear delts cable:
40X10
40X10 drop 30X10 drop 20X10
Rear delt machine: held reps at the top with a slow neg
60X8 drop 50X8 drop 40X8

DB shrugs:
80sX10
90sX10

Smith shrugs:
225X10
315X10 drop 225X10 drop 135X10 behind the back]

Db shrugs:
100sX10 drop 80sX10 drop 70sX10

Today I realized that in the world of bodybuilding. The weight you lift is irrelevant, what is however important is how you lift it. I think I will be doing this lower weight stricter rep thing more often.

very nice workout kyle how did you like my idea, it kills doesnt it!

I think body building has more a need for isolation movements (with strict form) then powerlifting does. You still need both compound and isolation movements, but I think you need just as many iso movements in regards to BBing.

A general obsveration of your pics.

You just need to grow, maybe another 20-30lbs of muscle before your ready to hit the stages. Nothings really lagging per se... maybe the lats and traps could use a boost possibly the forearms.

Gutz981
08-04-2006, 02:34 PM
Eric- Yeah I don' plan on getting on stage for a while it would be pointless. I don't have enough mass. which is what i hope to achieve with the up and coming bulk. I agree with you my lats do need to grow. I do alot of rowing movements for my back giving me more thickness than width. I need to start doing some pulls to give that width.

Paul- Hah yeah I get that alot. Hey I ain't bitching extends the dating world for me.

Shark-I'm 16 years old. Thanks bro I think I need to start buckling down and focusing on muscle contraction more though.

McVein- Hah hell yeah bro gotta sport the shaved head and thanks.
