Are they good for eating after workouts? If not, when? Or are they good at all?

I personally don't go for bars after a workout once in awhile it's ok.I usually pick one up if i'm on the road and skipped a meal.Have a shake, eat a meal.

Clif bars are better than other kinds. They are made from organic ingredients and are not processed, unlike most others. I usually have one or two a day while at work and between meals.

So are they bad to have post-workout?

I don't use bars at all. Carry a dry shake with dextrose in it, just add water, shake, and knock it back. Cheap, easy, effective.

make your own: peanut butter, honey, oats, and whey.

Most bars are just overhyped candy bars marketed to be "healthy".
