Well i have heard that might diet is not great for keepimg muscle let alone building it cause i am not eating alot.. I eat 3 meals a day and one consist of cereal for breakfast..

So i thought maybe i should take a protein shake a day or something....? Would that hurt my weight loss or just help to build muscle.

I did start a fitday journal today.

Heres what i have eaten today..

Will that be your whole day?

And do you weight more than a hundred pounds?

LOL ya i weigh 215 but i need to lose 30 more pounds but i dont want to lose muscle or not be able to make new muscle so i didnt know if i should get more protein..?

And as low as that sounds it was a decent amount of food. cereal for breakfast and weight watcher meal with 2 slices or wheat bread for lunch and a sugar free pudding for a snack then for dinner had one and a half breaded and baked pork chops with green beans and mashed potatoes.

Please read the cutting link in my sig. You'll see how much protein and fat you need, and it might give you a better idea of the calories.

I really don't care what your food choices are. www.fitday.com (http://www.fitday.com) - if the macros work, you're good.

I ate right at 2000 calories today and my protein is at 145 compared to yesterdays 78 but my percentage for daily protein is 31% compared to yesterdays 21% that seems weird to me....

Am i really suppose to get 100% of daily recommended....

That's a percentage of your calories, not daily amount.

145 x 4 = 580
580/2000 = 0.29
.29 x 100 = 29%
