So i weigh my self at my house on our electonic scale, which tells me 244. When i weigh my self at the gym, on one of those sliding scales it tells me 227. I am so confused about this, which one do you guys think is right?

the gym one would be the more accurate one assuming its not broken, which it shouldn't be

Wow, that's a ton of difference. do you happen to have a 20lb dumbbel you can put on your home scale to test its validity?

there's less than a pound of difference if i weigh myself at home then drive to the gym and weigh in there...which is kinda what I'd expect to see.

I have an old style scale at home that i use and thought i would buy a digital one to be up to date and it said i weighed like 40 pounds heavier then the older one so i took it back.

BTW my wife who is 145pds and 5'9 weighed the same on both

I'm thinking there's a pretty good chance your gym has a dumbell (or a plate) lying around you could use to test their scale...

It's probably a height thing then.
