I know the pre-packaged deli meat is loaded with all kinds of stuff and that it is not a good source for protein and to go to the deli and get it there but it can be very expensive. So what I did it buy an entire Turkey breast 4lbs for about $10.00 and cooked it then sliced the whole thing and now have my fuel for great turkey sandwiches for the next few days.

I sometimes find it for $1.29/lb frozen and do the same thing. I thaw it, yank the skin off, boil a pot of water and throw it in. Boiling keeps it moist. And when you're done, you have turkey stock you can use to cook brown rice or pasta.

I just buy fresh turkey steak fillets. Not so bad if you can get a good deal on them.

is the deli turkey bad if you watch them cut it in front of you?
