Hey guys, heres some videos from todays back workout.

455 x 13 rack pulls from bottom of knee, with 10 shrugs at the end, for some reason my rom is ****ty on the shrugs.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=kvNrSKqxsLw

and here is a set of 635 x 4 shrugs, power style.

enjoy

Very good, 635 is nothing to shake a stick at.

Your ROM kinda blows on the shrugs, lower the weight so it doesn't seem like you're jerking the weight up and to make sure you're using your traps, not your back. Impressive nonetheless.

EDIT: How much weight are you able to grip and hold for reps without straps?

dont forget he is doing power shurgs, but ya the ROM is a little crappy. Awesome rack pulls though man.

Damn dude, you look SO italian!

I agree the shrugs could use a bigger ROM, but the rack deads were really impressive.

:withstupi :withstupi Thought the same thing myself, your head goes down and seems to be a little momentum with body movement and such.

Good job, I don't know if it's just the angle of the video, but two things about the rack pulls. It appears to be top of the knee from where I can see the joint move, but again, could be the angle.

Also, which may be the angle, hard to tell, it appears that the bar is away from your body by a few inches a the start of the pull.

If so, you are probably short-changing yourself and putting unecessary strain on your lower back.

If it's just the angle of the cam then obviously disregard these comments.

The rack pulls looked good from what I can tell (I've never actually tried them myself) but I think you need to work on your shrugs. The shrugs in the first video looked more or less like you were rocking your body back and forth, rather than shrugging the weight up. I'm sure you'll be able to handle the weight you're using soon enough, but for now I would bring it way down and get the form down.

I pretty much agree with everyone else comments about the shrugs. Those were some nice reps on the rack pulls, though.

thank you all and it was the angle, the bar is againsed my body and thats my legs showing not my knees, why would i lie about something so stupid, and they are power shrugs, im shrugging pretty damn high and i NEED to use 495+ or i have to do like 20 reps, because its to light.

but thanks all, i mean, there isnt much momentum with 635 lbs crashing down

Stump you just gave me an idea - I'm going to start doing my shrugs from a lower peg on the rack so I get an extra rack pull in there;)
