Probs because the he wanted the spotter to watch his form from behind. I too wondered why he wasnt in the rack. Oh well.

holy ****. that would have sucked to drop that on himself. luckily he caught one of the hooks. thats a pretty sturdy rack too.

also if he hadnt opened his hand up right before he racked it he would have crushed his fingers REALLY bad

I hate to condemn but that was fk'd up. That dude needs to wake up or something. Judging by his build that really isn't that much weight and to have that happen... practice your squats bro.
I'm not saying I haven't had my screw ups but that was just crazy messed up.

It looks like he was trying a suited squat for the first time and ended up tracking the knees forward too much to take pressure off the hips, and then lost his balance. He's a lucky SOB.

Yeah man, I didn't think of that. It does look like he's struggling with a suit. It makes more sense but still... scary!!

i dont really understand what went wrong, everything seemed fine, he squatted down, on his way up, nothing looking wrong, then suddenly he trys to kill the rack
