Is 12 grams of sugar alot for a bowl of oatmeal? Please say no. I bought this big box of flavored quaker oats and it tastes so good, but I don't know if 12 grams of sugar will be a problem? If it IS alot can I eat it as a post wokrout meal to spike insulin?

Instant oats are crap. Eat regular oats. And no, fructose is not good pre or post workout.

This thread title is misleading...I was hoping for some good action.

The answer is that no, is not a huge deal, but there are better choices. There's not much more than that.

I'd eat it post workout. It won't make a difference.

Milk is low glycemic simple sugar - not bad.

White bread is high glycemic complex carb - bad.
