Is it ok to get most of the protein from shakes, I havent yet.. it just gets expensive and repetative to eat clean, and I know some days I wont be able to keep it up.
Yesterday my protein came from:
97% fat free cheese 30g (kraft singles, great source btw 100g contains 24g protein and 1.5 grams saturated fat)
Soy protein isolate 28g
subway roast chicken + ham 40g
Whey protein mix 28g
cooked egg white 30g
Today
Soy protein isolate 28g
Whey protein mix 28g
Sashimi + cooked tuna 40g
Whey protein mix 28g
400g Tbone 80g
I try to intake a minimum of 150g of protein a day, sometimes its difficult because I try to eat as clean as possible, I heard you cant get all your protein from shakes because your body gets used to it and it loses its effectiveness, but how much is too much? could I have even more protein drinks?
From what I have read, The protein drinks I am having are almost twice as better absorbed then chicken or beef.
I am not trying to sound like I want an easy way out, I just wanna know what % of protein I should be consuming from protein shakes.
