i have been making the homemade peanut butter protein bars and my kids love them.....could these be bad for a kid? oldest is 4 and youngest is 1.

Er, id have thought it will make them aweful fat!! I suggest keep them to yourself! they should not be eating anything but a natural diet at their age! Keep them healthy!

Its food. Kids need protein. Depends on what is them them. Post your recipe and then we can give you some better feedback.

Ye...its VERY high cal food, far to high for children that age. And if there is protien powder in it then its a definate no no imo!

I would say the only problem with this is that your kids might start thinking "ohhh, dad says those candy bars are ok to eat... now I'll eat a candy bar whenever I want!"
Just make sure they eat their breakfast and get some veggies at dinner... a bar here or there couldn't hurt, but it's more sensible to have them eating "real" food in the meantime, IMHO.
