Just a basic/simple band question...
I just got my 1st set from EliteFTS (links below)...

and I've read Eric's article on ALN:
http://www.wannabebig.com/article.php?articleid=271

and found great info in this WBB thread:
http://www.wannabebigforums.com/showthread.php?t=65530&highlight=bands

But wasn't sure if one should just jump right in? And start the Westside band program? Or if you should ease into a band program?

Perhaps build up over a few weeks?
Or just lower the weights enough so that you keep proper form?

Thanks..

When the mini bands are doubled up they will add around 90 pounds to the top of the bench press and 40 off the chest. This does depend on arm length, bench height and torso thickness.

I got the mini bands and I usually subtract 30lbs from what I usually lift to account for the tension. You should use them for about 3 weeks and then get off of them for 3 weeks. If you're doing Westside you can use them for your dynamic effort days, or you can do them on your max effort days. If you do them on your heavy benches I will warn you not to use them 2 weeks in a row, heavy benches with bands will HURT the hell out of your shoulders, be sure to start off light and work your way up when using bands.
