Hey there, my mate just gave me some of his glutamine saying he doesn't need it. I'm just wondering is it of any use to me? I'm basically an extreme ectomorph just starting out. How often, and at what times should I take it, if at all?

Also, how do you know which multi vitamins are good for you. My mate looked at mine and said they were rubbish, said they were lacking some "s" thing. I reckon he was talking out his arse, he also believes squats are a waste of time. However, I remember talking to someone who was doing nutrition as their course at Uni, and hearing them say Centrum multi vitamin was just a waste of money. I don't have Centrum, but was wondering what vitamins and in what dosages I should be looking for in a good multi.

Thanks.

Holto posted a good vitamin guide in JordanBcools supplement thread on here. It is just a few post down. Check it out. Basically you don't want any preservatives or coatings on them.

If you got the glutamine for free, you can add it to your shakes or take it whenever, but it is a waste of money to buy. Any quality protein source will have more then enough in it.

the only good glutamine is peptides, everything else does not make it past the gut

The only good glutamine is allready in your foods and protein powder. Same with BCAA's. Sure these things have positive effects and that is why we eat protein at each meal.
