View Full Version : Bulk too fast?

I've gained 5 lbs in a month but I still have skinny arms and calves. It's like all the weight is sticking to the center of my body. My stomach actually has a roll now and it's not attractive hah, it's like all the fat went there :(...

So am I dooing something wrong cuz I dont think Im eating that much. Around 2000 cals usually.

Post diet and routine, please include macronutrient breakdown (i.e. prot, carbs, fat). How many calories does it take for you to maintain your weight, 1400-1500 cals?

2000 cals a day caused you to gain 5 lbs? how much to you weigh now?

I weigh 140 lbs now at ~5'8".

I get a lot of carbs (around 200g), not enough protein (~70-100g), enough fat (~80g), and 1,500-2,000 cals.

How do you know what you're eating? You don't weigh your food!

And if you already know you're eating so little protein, why are you confused with your results?

Sorry to be blunt, but you don't seem to be particularly proactive in your approach. Why would you want to gain so fast? Females don't gain LBM very quickly unassisted.

The difference in your calorie range, 500 cals, can mean 1 lbs per week. Track what you eat for a week, use fitday, document whether you gained, lost or stayed the same. When you do this, we will better equipped to give you help.

Well Im starting to use fitday again.

So would taking in more protein be the solution? I thought calories made you gain fat but I'm not even eating much over my macros so where is it coming from? Also, is this just a phase in bulkingor will the fat stay as long as I am on this bulk?

I dont want to gain so fast, I just want to gain. Too much to ask? lol. My skinny arms and ankles make my body look dispoportionate :[
