Hey I was wondering if any of you use these things and how effective they are for you. I was thinking of getting them because sometimes I feel groggy during a workout. Any help would be good.

Ive had a dose of 600mg of caffeine and 24mg of ephedrine pre workout and felt really motivated. worked really hard that workout, but i wouldnt recommend that kind of dosage if u workout around 5-8pm. not being able to sleep is the most annoying thing in the world. :)

Stims can be useful. Everyone reacts different. 200-300mg of caffeine for me is alittle booster, other people would be a jittery mess. Get a sugarfree energy drink, and try that and see what it does for your workout. They are just basically expensive caffeine water. If it helps, then invest in some pills.

Start out with a smallish dose to determine what you have a tolerance for. As unreal said, 300mg can make some people, like me, a jittery mess. Wheres others might not get much of a boost from that.

200mg gives me a bit of an energy boost. 400mg gets me pretty wired, 600mg and I am jittery and crazy! :p

I depended on caffeine on my last cut but I don't generally take caffeine pills during a bulk or maintenance phase.

My favorite would be some type of thermo, 400mg caffeine, 25mg ephedrine, and a green tea (2 tea bags seeped).

Try that and tell me if you had a bad workout or not:evillaugh

But I dunno, Im sure there must be some mental state you can get into so you dont have to rely on drugs. I think ill just try to find it rather than relying on something else. There must be negative things about the pills to right?

You can buy a bottle of caffeine pills for ~$6. Don't even bother with a caffeine drink, just go to a local health store and get some caffiene pills. Start with a low dosage, and work your way up. You'll find a dosage that works great for you, I'm definitely a fan of stims when you need some pep.

I think it is called "awake and alert". I could see that being tough if you work out in the early morning.

It can be bad if stims hit you hard (I can't have a cup of coffee after like 7:30 PM). It can also become bad if you come to rely on them - definately can turn into an addiction.

I forgot to mention another thing that helps me get ready before a workout. I turn up some Soundgarden and start banging my head on the wall!!!
