I've just entered the wonderful world of weight training supplementation. Currently I'm taking 31 grams of iso-whey mixed with 5-gram servings of L-Glutamine and 5-gram servings of Creatine. Is mixing these a problem? I've recently read that L-Arginine can't be taken with protein because it will bind with protein molecules and therefor won't be absorbed by the body. Does the same thing happen with L- Glutamine. Any guidelines for mixing would be greatly appreciated.

The Glutamine is a waste. Just take regular creatine monohydrate and mix it with dextrose.

And I don't know where you read that about Arginine since...well...Arginine is IN protein.

So ditch the Glutamine. And don't supplement with Arginine either.

And read this ~> www.creatinemonohydrate.net

I actually see some benifits from taking Glutamine, it keeps me from getting so sore. For a while I thought it was in my head, but it definitely helps.

Thats alot of money to spend to not get sore. That and we know there is no correlation between soreness and growth.

Free form amino acids can compete, in a sense, with other peptides for absorption...if that is what you mean.

You will still absorb the protein, however.
