I know i treat it like any other muscle group. My question is do i do say 3 sets 6-8 reps?? or? theses being weighted of course.

I usually do 3 sets of 10-15 reps. It would seem weird doing only 6 reps of an ab exercise. Maybe that's just me...we'll see what others say...

It does feel weird at first, but try it. It's worth it.

I'll try that. Should I increase the weights to a point where I'm only able to do 6-8 reps?...in other words go a lot heavier?

Yes.

Wouldn't make much sense lowering the number of reps while keeping the same weight. It should still be difficult.

i like to use sets of 10 reps with rope crunch, an 3, maybe 4 working sets
