And I'm curious 'why'. I failed to so much as get it off the floor. I thought the lower back didn't really get involved until it was past your knees? Could this be an indication that I'm using too much back to get the weight moving or is it a normal place to feel a failure?

This was after a PR breaking 365 pull and I went on to do two singles of 335 afterwards so I don't think I'm exactly hurt... more of just 'aware'.

tweaked mine a bit last night when I missed 495 rack pull, I know its nothing serious but you can tweak your back out even if you never "budge" the weight.

When you're trying to break it off the floor, sometimes you just lose the arch and give it all back. That'll be tender for a few days. Lay off heavy pulling for a while. (2-3 weeks).

After a hot shower and a few hundred calories I feel fine. At least until tomorrow. :) Next heavy dead day isn't for two weeks and I've been trying high rep rows (3x10-15) based on an article I read on elitefts so that should be cool even if it is a slight tweak?

Rows shouldn't do anything to your lower back. Go nuts.

Good. I can't live without SOME sort of pulling. :) Hate pushes, love pulls...

****ty deals man. I hate it when I load up the bar only to sheepishly unload it seconds later :(

It was just your day to lift it. Those tweaks can be warning signs, keep a close eye on your back and form. And try another day.

At least I'd pulled 365 three minutes earlier and all I had to unload was two 5s that weren't even put inside the collars.

I worry about my form. I do my best, but my skeletal system is permanently out of whack from birth. I feel that my right side takes up the slack for the lightly mangled left side which is why when I get any sort of fatigue its in my right side... lat, spinal erector, trap, even delt during benching or oh pressing.
