View Full Version : From clean bulk to gut-fest

Supsup, my bulk has gone from 2800kcal a day of clean food to like 3000kcal, plus 2000-2500kcal~ of alchohol every few days. This is not good, and a paunch is creeping up on me. Gonna start cutting with a bit of HIIT next week to a reasonable weight.

Good idea. Nip it in the bud before you wake up at 250 like I did 10 weeks ago. Yuck!

Better idea would be to drop your cals instead of adding HIIT. Not that adding HIIT is bad, but use diet to control your weight. I can't see how anyone serious can have 2000-2500 cals of alcohol a week. Having a few on the weekend is ok. Even if you had 5 beers on Friday and 5 on Saturday that is still only 1000-1300. Cut down on your drinking.

I just checked fitday: a 26er is a hair less than 2000 calories. You could try drinking light beer or doing shots or mixing with diet pop. That would cut some of it out. Drinking one less day per week would also be a very good place to start.

or possibly quit drinking 2500 calories of booze. alcohol is counter productive to maintaining anabolism.
