View Full Version : Advice: is female friend under eating? (fitday numbers inside)

My friend is 21, and she is 5'3 and 112lbs.

I got her to track on fitday:

Today: 713cals, 30g fat, 60g carbs and 10g protein <-- this freaked me out

But she insists her monthly average is:

1310cals, fat 22g, carbs 52, protein 27

LMK it seems way low. She is a Vegitarian as well.

Wow, 1300 seems low, even for a 5'3, 110 lb girl. What kind of lifestyle does she lead? I could possibly see that being normal if she were completely sedentary (bedridden, etc.), but with any amount of movement I think she's well under the starvation point @ 700 and still unhealthy at 1300. Good luck getting her to eat more...

My coworker is a tiny little thing and her diet is as follows:

Breakfast:

cup o noodles

Lunch: hot dog from costco

Dinner: Soup


I **** you not. She's really really skinny but has those jiggly jellow arms. It's a trip.

Yeah - that looks like a typical day for my g/f

She's 5ft 4, 105lbs. She has a very small frame but no muscle at all. I'm forcing her to eat at least one protein shake a day.

my gf chows like you dont believe and she is in pretty good shape. I love it.

my wife is 5'8", overweight, and cutting almost a solid 2lbs of fat every week for 2 months now, averaging 1800 cals a day. and in the first month she put on a little over a pound of muscle (newbie gains of course).

Since July 1, she's down like 26 lbs, and not eating like a mouse!

so yeah, yer friend is undereating, IF she's actually getting any sort of actual exercise.
