Make your own. Taste better, cheaper and better for you.

Pre-made bars are horrible, all of 'em.

the funny thing is, those trioplex brand bars (Detour, One Way, etc) are like, the best bars I ever found...even then they weren't that amazing.

I definitely prefer protein powder. It's better for you and a lot cheaper in the long run.

I really like the "Amazing protein bars" but I also really like the Colassal 100 bars made by Met-rx

Except "protein bar" would be a bit of a misnomer, considering those bars are primarily fat.

^True but they still have a lot of protein in 'em.
How about "amazing MRP bar"? Not quite as catchy, LOL.

im currently trying to eat 2 of those amazing bars per day.
they do get sickly.
i think theres too much peanut butter in them for my liking.
any ideas on reducing the fat in some way?? and if a god exists, increasing the protein as well :D

they are the ones im talking about mate. the amazing protein bars.
like i said they have a bit too much pb in them i think. maybe only a cup of pb would fix the sicknessy taste but then what could be used to hold it together effectively?
i think they taste great at first, a few mouthfuls later and i have to leave it a couple of hours to finish it off.
it was my first batch so theres always room for adjustment in my next batch.
in the first batch i also added ground almonds, chopped nuts, an extra scoop of whey and raisins.
next time i will also make the batch alot thinner and cut it into more pieces rather than 6. cutting it into 6 made them monsterous in size.

Thats what I did and I had about atleast 16 bars (~3x3in).
Play around with it and see what works better.

What about RAGE bars? I remember having a peanut butter one and it was pretty dang good for a protein bar. And the sucker really fills you up.

The Snickers protein bars actually taste really good. Better than any others I've tried.
(I'm still in favor of powder though)

I use more oats and honey. To make one higher in protein you can use the pasteurized egg whites. When I used the egg whites I got them over 20g's per bar. I don't think I've ever made a batch that was higher in fat.
