Don't know if this is impressive at all, but I couldn't believe I could actually hold this much weight.

Good stuff man! Crazy grip strength! Not really a deadlift though... You're squatting the weight up. Ummm... We shall call it a "wierd looking DB hack squat" ;)

I probably should have tried to do a timed hold with it, but I was just happy that I cracked it off the ground.

Ignorance is rampant in this world and Roddy's comments are proof positive his is ignorant on the topic.

Anyway, great lift! Now you have to walk with it! :hello:

That's pretty good man, though that is nothing like a barbell deadlift because your body's center of gravity is in the middle, your arms are in a neutral grip, and the range of motion is much lower because the handles are so high. Still good that you could even hold that weight in your hands without letting go. That takes amazing grip strength!

Thanks. It's a totally different exercise, it's basically like a high rack pull. I believe it's a very effective exercise for loading the upper/lower back and grip with a ton of weight.

Damn that is impressive. Are you interested in doing strongman events? Good job. I wish we had stuff like that at my gym.

Thanks. I am planning to compete in a strongman competition in april 2007.

My crush strength isn't very good, but I do have an Ivanko Supergripper. Tried the COC trainer yesterday for the first time at a grip competiton and I was no-setting it very easily. I plan on buying some CoCs however.
