20g protein

Turned out alittle dry. Next batch I'm going to either add more PB or some butter. They are really cakey. I bet blending the oats into more of a flour would help too.

Pumpkin Bread turned out good. Alittle "eggy" but tasting and good texture.

1.5 cups oats ground into flour in the blender
2 scoops whey
3 eggs
1/2 cup egg whites
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
pinch salt
1.5 cup splenda (could have upped this if want sweeter)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
15oz can of pumpkin

Totals 1909 118 123 99

Blend, put in a loaf pan, bake for ~1 hour at 350.
Next time I may drop an egg or drop the egg whites. It is very eggy, but good.

Unreal, you must have read my mind. I was sitting around today eating a slice of pumpkin pie and drinking a protein shake thinking "I wonder if I can make pumpkin protein pie". I'm serious, I was thinking that. This sounds incredible!

GF, it is a first try. Like I said it turned out alittle "eggy". Could probably drop an egg or some of the whites out. It was good. Ate the whole thing yesterday.

At an hour stick a knife/toothpick in the center to see if it is done.

Going to try again. Going to take some of the egg out and add some unsweetened apple sauce to keep them nice and moist.

As for the protein bars, after sitting a day in the fridge they are pretty damn dry. I just dropped one in a cup of milk and let it soak, then ate it. Next time going to add some applesauce and more fat to keep them nice and moist.

I may try it again tonight or tommorow. If I do I will post back. After 2-3 tries I bet we can have a great recipe nailed down.

Any thoughts on the butter? Good bad? Switch to a different fat source? More/less? Could also try whole wheat flour or something instead of ground oats.

Wow, the second pumpkin bread rocks.
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup natual apple sauce
2 eggs
2 cups splenda
1.5 cups whole wheat flour
1 can pumpin
1/2 tbps pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tbps baking powder
2 scoops whey (i used banana because all I had was banana or chocolate)

Bake at 350 for ~1hour. Took mine about 1:05 to finish. Let it sit for 45 minutes then cut up. Texture is good, flavor is awesome.

Doing a banana bread right now. Only diff is 2 bananas instead of the can of pumpkin, and some chopped walnuts added.

Apple sauce worked great. Switched to veg oil instead of butter.

Eating 2 slices of the banana bread right now. It is awesome.

Baking just takes practice.

I've always been decent at it. Then again, I'm also a chemist, so recipes are sort of a way of life for me.
