I looked at my can of tuna yesterday and saw something I never noticed before, my whole can of tuna has about 50mg of cholesterol. What's up with that? Is it bad/good Cholesterol

-thx-

That would be HDL, or good cholestrol. Im pretty sure of it. Tuna is extremely healthy. If it was bad cholestrol I think frankster would have died of a heart attack a long time ago.

ok good, thanks I was worried I'd have to stop eating it since it's an easy way to get protein

just don't get a big montana from arby's it has 155mg of cholestrol, LDL that is. Your body does need cholestrol though. Remember that cholestrol converts to testostrone.

BTW, blood serum cholesterol and dietary cholesterol are corrolated in only a small percentage of individuals.
If you have not been told by your doctor that you have such a medical condition, then do not worry about dietary cholesterol intake (assuming, of course, you are not eating 25 eggs each day.)
