see guys i wouldnt put protein in bars coz i was under the impression u need speical type of protein for that coz the protein in it absorbs through heat.

and also wouldnt putting oats and stuff in the oven take away alot of value by the time u eat it 3 days later?

i dont understand all the dif types of protein so if i was using the 100%whey protein with a mixutre of 3 different proteins the guy at the shop said not to put it in cakes, ect....

never heard of whey depleting from heat, and if you make the protein bars in the "amazing protein bars" thread.. there essentially is no real heat, you just warm the PB to make it a bit more runny.......

OP's been told heat denatures protein.

It does.

It just means the biological activity is gone - for example, enzymes don't work once denatured.

The protein is fine - your body handles cooked meat, cooked egg white - both of these have denatured proteins.
