Ok.. now, I drink soda like it's water... I mean like 3 cans or more a day. Recently I have decided to stop drinking it but tonight I cheated with a cup of pepsi with our pizza. Just wondering how many of you swear it off entirely?

I personally never drink soda.One can and a pizza won't change a thing.I wouldn't wory about it.

I use to be a big drinker of soda a couple years ago, i use to just need something to drink at home, now I just get bottled water. Only time I drink soda is when I go out.

Diet soda is worse than regular soda, IMO. If you must drink it, drink it sparingly.

what does that do?It does nothing in small amounts, but becomes toxic in large amounts. And aspartame = artificial sweetener.

And 3 cans a day is too much.

I almost never have a soda.

I feel it's ~130cals of nothing usefull to me.

I've used it with insulin when I started feeling hypo before and was tired of straight dextrose.

I drink coke with rum. That's about it. Maybe some gin with 7-up every now and then.

Cue music...."Just for the taste of it.....DIET COKE!!!"...end music.

I've been drinking Nutrasweet-filled Diet Coke since about 1982 or whenever they first came out. I've been practically a lab rat for the Coca Cola Corporation. The new stuff with Splenda definitely tastes better, and I'm buying that now when ever my supermarket has it in stock, but hell there is absolutely no credible evidence that aspartame has any harmful effects on human beings at normal doses, or even at insanely extraordinarily large doses either for that matter.

If you drink your own bodyweight in the stuff day after day maybe you'll have problems when you're 80, but otherwise stop worrying about it.

Zero calories, ya know?

As lifters we have far more important things to be worried about than the latest pseudo-scientific conspiracy theory about Nutrasweet. God they get so repetitive. This stuff isn't a drug and it isn't tobacco.

Drink up and get back to the gym.

Ingested sparingly won't create the end of the world, but, I recommend staying away from it in any excess.
