Is there a ceiling to it? Been trying to keep it to .5 g/lb of bodyweight, and protein at 1g/1 lb, and then filling in the rest of the calories with carbs. Is that wrong?

No ceiling. I'm getting about 1g of fat and 2g+ of protein per LBM currently.

It depends. On a tcd, you would be eating more fats than on a high(er) carb diet. Atm, I get about 1g of fat per lb. of bw.

I don't go much past .6g/lb of bodyweight.

Assuming it is good fat, there shouldn't be a problem.

.5 should be a good start for a bulk. I would increase protein up closer to 1.5, and try to get about 3x's for carbs. This would just be my basis. I would adjust as needed.
Sample for 180 lber
80g fat = 720
270g pro = 1080
540g carb = 2160
total = 3960
I would start there and adjust. I started there, and found out I still need more, so upped the fats and carbs a bit.

No limit, but you do want to keep saturated fat ~10% of total fat cals.

Personally, I keep around 30% total calories from some source of fat.
