View Full Version : Why is nolva such a great PCT product?

I was just wondering this. I understand that it is great for stopping estrogen related problems. I've been reading lots about it, and i can see why it would stop high amounts of estrogen in the blood from causing problems, because nolva binds with the receptors estrogen wants to go to (if i'm wrong on anythign hopefully someone will correct me, i'm a little shakey on some of these mechanisms of action). So, estrogen cannot go where it wants to go. That is great, but we not only have estrogen we want to do nothign, we have lower test since natty production is decreased. Now, if nolva was an anti-aromatase i could see why it would help decrease estrogen problems, and increase natural test levels. If I'm understanding correctly, and anti-aromatase would stop testosterone from being converted, via aromatase, to estrogen. So, using that would do both things we care about: increase test (since less is being changed away from test), and decrease estrogen (since less material is able to be converted, since aromatase is suppressed).
I guess that, the way i'm understanding this, i'd imagine we'd want to be concerned more about anti-aromatase effects, for coming off a typical cycle. I could see nolva for combating estrogen related things, but i just fail to see how nolva is that effective for bringing test back to normal.
I've been poking around trying to find this and apologize if i'm missing something obvious. sometimes i read until i can't see the forest for the trees ya know?

(also, if i'm going to run 10mg ed of tamoxifen during my cycle, should i dose it at nighttime? I'm dosing in the halodrol in the mornings.)

! is it because
-nolva binds to estrogen receptor, stopping estrogen from getting there
-body wants estrogen to bind, so it starts creating more testosterone, as testosterone is the building block of estrogen.
is that it?

Nolvadex has a direct influence on bringing back natural testosterone, because it seems to increase the responsiveness of LH (luteinizing hormone) to GnRH (gonadtropin releasing hormone).

ahhhhh, i see. Thanks.
Any recommendation on how to dose during cycle? My searching has turned up 10-20mg ed during cycle, and dosing at nighttime.
it depends on wether you are prone to gyno. I ran it for 10mg every day on a 30 week cycle of sust 250 1 jab a week. Some people do it for every cycle i did it just for the long cycle. I know their has been some people and research saying it can have a negative effect on gains but not alot of people beieve this. I believe chase and a few other use it throughout cycle and i know alot of people on here keep it on hand for gyno and use it for pct.

Yeah i've been reading that in past threads. So damn torn. Basically, i thought i felt somethign in my nipple. I keep thinking i feel something, but can't tell if it's in my head or not. I'm almost sure i really do feel *somethign*, but it's not itchy, doesn't hurt, i just 'feel' it. i'll just notice my left nipple when i'm in the middle of something unrelated, like my mind is drawn to it lol.
So i can't tell if i'm just obsessing over it or if it's really gyno starting. I'm on day 7, and it's been on and off like that for maybe 4 days now. Hasn't gotten worse (actually i've been noticing it less), and visibly looks the same as the other (i swear it looks a little bigger, but nobody besides me can see it, so again that could be in my mind.). I want to start the nolva for peace of mind but don't want to sabotage myself. I could start the nolva, and potentially slow gains. Or, i could keep going w/o nolva, and wait til it gets worse. choices, choices
Um, common sense dictates run it now to stop it, id run it even if i was unsure if ive got gyno like you just for peace of mind...for the price its well worth the benefits. Plus i doubt your gains will slow that much.

I'm about to start, still trying to find if i shoudl dose in the evenings or what. also still trying to find if, by reducing estrogen's functions, i'm going to get the negatives associated with anti-aromatase stuff (loss of libido, etc).
I guess i'm still trying to increase my confidence so that when i first squirt that peppermint in my mouth i'm sure it was teh right move. having trouble finding good sources, i'm basically just reading old forum posts.

And is 10mg a good daily (or nightly..) dosage for on cycle? would 5 suffice? I want to limit how much i'm using, but still use it.
if you have gyno use it at 40mg per day until the gyno has gone. Once it has gone id say carry on with 10mg per day. It wont limit gains enough to warrant not using trust me

isn't gyno when you already have tissue growht? I'm very low bf% (~7ish), so it's easy to see anything that isn't supposed to be there, and nobody can tell when looking which side i'm even worried about.
Also, it seems to be subsiding (the occurences of me noticing it), which is why i was gonna wait longer to start.
But, i am going to start tonight just to be safe. Given that description, should i still go for 40mg? People say go 40mg until it goes away, but i'm not even sure it's there at all. (also, is 10mg the lowest recomended for during cycle?)
if you are that worried id say take 40mg for 5-7 days then continue with 10mg for the rest of your course.
The lowest dose iv heard of people taking throughout is 10mg a day i dont know wether any1 has done 5,g a day so cant comment but i had no problems at 10mg

I would say always run nolva and a-dex on cycle. I believe in better safe than sorry and you can get both compounds at a great price usually.
