Okay, I get that creatine is essential, so I purchased some with my new found urge to get back into my old shape. I purchased Six Star Advanced Creatine (Fruit Punch). Mixes great, tastes aight, after taste is seriously the worst thing I have ever experienced in my life. It's like I devoured a box of latex gloves. Anyways, I was curious if this creatine is actually good to use PWO.

Heres the breakdown:

170 kcals
43 carbs

It has dextrose in it as well as three types of creatine? Thanks for the responses ahead of time guys (and girls)!

Well all you really need is plain old creatine mono.

What you bought is a bunch of sugar, which isn't really needed.

Next time buy creatine mono.

I have creatine mono (EAS), too... just curious if there was a benefit between the two.

Nope, just one has a bunch of sugar.

Its not a bad creatine, the reason why they put dextrose in it, is to spike your insulin levels and drive nutrients into your muscles, aka creatine. Next time buy some Creatine ethyl ester, or just plain old Creatine mono. Make sure next time that you take your creatine with food. And no matter what kind of creatine you are taking drink about a gallon a day, that is crucial.

Lift, I drink about 1-2 gallons of water a day, I always was under the impression that when trying to get built, you drink that much to have your body be "pure" more or less... just curious why it is crucial to drink that much when ingesting creatine, though.

In a nutshell, creatine dehydrates you. Read www.creatinemonohydrate.net for more information.

Hmm... looks like I'll be buying that after I finish off my EAS creatine. Thanks Burgandy :)
