View Full Version : Weight Gain Goals!!

Okay im kinda new to this forum so bear with me....now im tryin to put on some poundage i way about 163 right now and stand at about 5'9"... ive been tryin real hard to get my weight up and my goal is to get up to 175 lbs by new years... i am tryin to gain at least 2 good lbs per week and basically what i would like to know is if i gain more than a pound or two each week would that mostly become fat or not??

I've heard anything ranging from .5 lbs to 1 lb of muscle can be gained per week. I'm not sure if there's a definite scientific answer, but i'd pick somewhere in the middle and say if you gain any more than that it's going to be fat.

depends on so much it isn't even funny. Some people struggle like hell for a pound a week, others can do it no sweat (those others are gonna usually be beginners, or people bulking while gainig fat too, or people on cycles, etc.)
