should i try to control the amount of grams of carb's i get per day....or just make sure that my percentage of carbs verses protein and fat is good. I thought i read on here 1 time that it is good to keep carbs at around 100 grams per day, but in order for me to get my calories up where i want them i seem to be getting double or triple that amount of carbs. thanks.

Percentage doesn't matter, grams don't matter. Triple is fine. I have no idea where you read 100g a day is good.

Protein 1g/lbm, fat .5g/lbm, and fill the rest with whatever. Good complex carbs to hit your caloric goals are fine. I've been taking in 330-350g a day of carbs on my recently bulk.

If a certain percentage and grams don't matter, then how do you base your carb intake for the day?

Protein and fat as LBM-dependent doses, fill up the rest of your allowed calories with whatever combination of protein, carb and fat you find comfortable. Target carbs around lifting window, particularly if they are kept to a minimum.

Great, thank you for the quick answer. You're like a legend around here :)

That's roughly the amount of glycogen the liver holds (not that you didn't alrteady know), so maybe he read that (?)

The stores get depleted fairly quickly though, so they need to be replenished. Not to mention the glycogen stores in the muscles.
