I've been on a cycle of halodrol for 16 days so far.
by the end of the first week, i was up about 1.5lbs.
on the morning of day 14, i did a very clean weigh in showing a gain of 6.5lbs.
Today, two days later, i'm back down 0.5, to a gain of 6.0lbs.
My intuition tells me that a small fluctuation is fine, but feel i should've been up another couple pounds. I know the reaction is to just up the calories more, but i'm wondering if this is the concensus (not that i don't already kidna know the answer, but as far as i can tell the calories seem totally fine).
(note that my weigh ins are *immaculate*; always first thing in teh morning, in my underwear, on my digital home scale, before eating/drinking anything, after going to the bathroom, both bathrooms :) ; so i know these are very clean, accurate weigh ins, that should have minimal fluctuation based on whatever i'm holding in my gut.)
some stats
starting weight: 155lbs
current weight: 161lbs
23 years, 5'7''
food intake, averaged over the past week, per fitday:
calories: 3994
protein: 296g
fat: 124g
carb: 429g
taking vitamins, fish oil, all that good stuff too. Seems like those calories have been doing great for me, actually if i set a fitday report for the past two weeks, i get:
calories: 3973
protein: 267g
So you can see that i've actually bumped up the protein a bit, and calories have been about the same, seems weird i'd be gaining so well early on with that level of calories/protein, then i up the protein a bit, and now i'm stagnating.
Oh that 6lbs is very clean - no noticable bloating (i'm using nolva, 10mg nightly), and no significant fat gain (i've got a deep six pack, so i can see fat gains, and if there are any there, they're waaay less than 1%bf so it's fine). My inclination is to just up the calories a bit more, maybe like 4200/day for the rest of the cycle. keep the protein in place, doubtful that's the problem, but just wanted some opinions before going ahead. I was also considering looking into digestive support, like including more fiber/enzymes, as my body may be having trouble fully processing this spike in calories. dunno
