alright, I took some progress pictures. This is the end of my bulk. You may ask why I'm cutting when it's still winter, but I'm going on a vacation at Christmas. I'm about 5'10, 170-175lbs. I did not have any kind of 'pump' when I took these pictures. Any guesses at bodyfat? I'll start the bidding at 18% :burger:

a guess, by definition, has a good chance of being inaccurate. I tend to store quite a bit of fat on my chest for some reason?

I do realize that it's harder to guess with higher body fat percentages.

funny but it gets kind of old ppl asking every one to guess thier bf% when its no where near accurate and kind of pointless someone told me what they thought my bf was on a pic(unasked) they guessed 13 and i was 6-7% they werent even close - so saying it harder with higer bf% its not its hard always!!!

I would say your around 15%, thats just a guess though.

Also in my humble opinion you have no reason to cut. You look like you put on some size but I would wait another 10-15lbs before considering a cut.

yeah, I could stand to put on more mass and I definitely plan to.

You say I put on some size? Have you seen previous pictures of me? All these pictures were taken at the same time btw, I just had shorts on for some of them.

For the person who said I look young, I turned 18 about a month and a half ago.

Yes, but in that case their guess was much closer than your claim. Your pics in the natural vs. juiced thread were not of a woman who's 6-7%. I don't think you quite understand how body fat works, but it's nearly impossible for women to get that low. And pretty damn close to impossible for men to get there too. Take a look at Built's pics here: http://www.wannabebigforums.com/showpost.php?p=1226313&postcount=1

She was at 14% for those pics (and I'm pretty sure she gets a DEXA test done, so it's about as accurate as you can get). Don't get me wrong, you look good in the pics, but 13% is probably dead on, in my opinion. That's very low for a woman.

Anyways, looking good Matt. It's too bad you have to start cutting because it seems like you're doing well. Do you plan to continue bulking as soon as you get back?

How long have you been working out? You look pretty much like I did about a year ago... Not much definition but definately a good base.

I'd say bf could be 13+.. There's still some outlines of abs so definately not 18%.

Personally I'd try to put on at least and 30-40 clean pounds before you worry about cutting. No reason to cut what so ever until your over 200 pounds.

Nice progress anyhow!

I've been working out about a year. At first, I didn't know what I was doing and would just putz around with bench press, curls, military press, and that was pretty much it. I started hanging around with some more serious lifters, and learned from them, and then found this site and started doing squats and deadlifts, but I was only doing partial reps and I was deadlifting with a trap bar.

This August, I started working out with proper form (as far as I know!) and a good routine.

Great progress Matt!

Are you currently bulking? Reason I ask is, well, hockey season is just around the corner and I would hate for you to have not have any snacks when watching games! LOL!

Again, way to get bigger!

Best,
ADT

thanks man, I just finished bulking, and now I think a cut is in order. I'm not really that chubby, but I've never cut before and I want to give it a try. I don't want this bulk to get out of control. I'd like to lose some fat off my chest. Ha I can snack on yogurt when watching hockey.

Give me your Pulp Fiction picture.

And I agree, don't cut, you'll just lose muscle you already have, just put on some quality mass slowly, and your bf% will go down as long as you have minimal fat gains (because your amount of lean mass will increase as fat stays same)

Looking really good Matt! Get a tan though!!!! (Not just on your forearms!)

You've put on some quality size since we first met.

I maintained at mid 170s for a long time before finally bulking the last 9ish pounds in about 7 weeks.

thanks man. I don't think the tan is going to happen lol. I had a pretty rank farmers tan around Craven, it used to be a lot worse.

I've been on maintenance calories this week. I don't want a drastic cut, just nice, slow, and steady.
