No fat loss from the measured sites this morning. My weight was 166lbs mostly depleted, which is about right. I looked like crap because my muscles were all depleted, as expected. One of the worst parts is the ab depletion, because then they really aren't noticeable. The biggest change I'm seeing this week is a definable section between my torso and chest. It's really changing the shape of my upper body a good deal. I'm hoping, in a way, that the Skulpt was responsible for this change because the degree of inconvenience it causes.

Last night I was apathetic, as usual. I went to grab my final meal and decided to lay down on the couch for a few minutes instead. I fell asleep, woke up at 11, then went to bed. So, yesterday I was a little short on the calories, but I'll make up for it with a massive refeed. This morning I couldn't get myself out of bed and my legs were killing me, so I set my alarm for an hour later and skipped the cardio. One thing that definitely sucks about the diet is the apathy. Especially on a day without measureable fat loss (I know, other parts are getting lean blah blah). I don't even feel like doing my depletion workout now. But considering all I've read on evolution and your body's protection systems, you would think that on low-calories you'd be more motivated (to get food, especially). If I was a hunter/gatherer right now I'd probably end up dead.

I got up late and skipped the Skulpt. Next week I'm going to lower the carbs to a net 50g and up the fats with a little olive oil to keep the calories around 1200.

Final Depletion

  · 45° leg press
     6ppsx6, x12
  · cybex calf-raise on 45° leg press
    6ppsx6, x12
  · lat pulldown
    120x6, 110x6

  · cybex chest press

  · dumbbell lunges
    55's x10, x10
  · leg curl
    60x12

I decided to load up the leg press some more to try to get my reps in the 6 area. Didn't work? Man, my strength went up this week. Well, calf-raises were supersetted with the lp and I thought they'd be hard too, but 12 came up pretty easily. Lat pulldown I overestimated because I changed to a wide grip, but flyes I increased. More strength! Rows were a little rough, so I dropped them by 5. I'll stick to 145 next week. Dropped the db tricep extensions too far, so 35 next week. I was worn by the time I got to sldl/lunges, which are very intense. I skipped the last set of sldl and did a light set of leg curls then I was done! While showering I was a little disoriented and very hungry. I'm curing this with a comfy chair and a protein shake.

Bottom Line : Strength up, vertigo, totally exhausted.

They were easy, but I was so tired at the end of the workout that I skipped the final set. I am going to do some SLDL with a barbell tomorrow for my power workout, just to see how it goes. Funny thing though, my knees feel 100% better today. Yesterday they hurt a bit, but today I feel good!

Thanks man. Welcome to the journal!

Let's not talk about this workout. Ok, I have to...

squat: 115x5, 185x5, 185x5
I kept these easy for my kneezies.

bench: 115x5, 155x3, 185x3, 205x3
The first rep of the 205 was stopped by a chair that rolled under the bar, so I stopped, reracked than did my set of 3.

db rows: 60x3:3, 80x3:3, 100x3:3, 100x3:3
This is just stupid. I should be doing 140x3:3 by now.

inc db bench: 75x3, 75x3
****in die.

shrugs: 230x5
Ok I feel tired and stupid.

Things I've established:
1. In-Rage does not do me any good.
2. My knees and erectors hurt.
3. I am weak.

I'm not comfortable with the strength I am currently losing. I don't know how it would be dropping still. I may be overdoing my depletion workouts, because the first few weeks were cool and that was when I was doing less on the depletion front.

I think I may go one more week, then start my bulk. It depends on a few factors, but we'll see.

Edit:
I just felt weak today. Tired, and still strangely depleted. I ate an assload yesterday, but still tired. I look crappy and don't feel leaner. I need to reevaluate my game plan now. I'll be more on point this week with cardio, but that's about all I can do.

My weekend wasn't terribly exciting. Friday night, the girls went to their friends' halloween party so the guys had a night out. We went to the casino and played around a bit. I broke even at the end of the night, but decided that breaking even was lame, so I dropped a $20 on a few more games of slots. I saw some guy who was playing two machines completely ROCK that house. Both machines he hit the jackpot on and attendants had to come cash him out. So, we left, all losers on this day. Overall we're all still up, so the fun continues.

Saturday morning I decide to get up fairly early and get some stuff done that needed to be handled. I had a list of things that needed to be done for a while and I figured this would be an ideal time to get them out of the way. First, I wanted to get my driver's license renewed. I remembered that I left my check book at work, so I called to see if they took credit card or cash. They didn't, but even better, the lady informed me that they only take pictures on THURSDAY. WHAT THE ****? How the **** is a working guy supposed to get a driver's license if they only take pictures on a weekday during business hours? Alright, I'm slightly pissed. I have these uprights that need returned to ironmind. They were recalled a few months ago and my girlfriend threw out the recall box with paid shipping, so I had to find a box and get it shipped. Well, they are so weirdly shaped that I couldn't find a box so I decided to wrap them in shipping paper instead. I spent 30 minutes wrapping these ****ers and I drove to the UPS store. A big sign adorned the entrance. "All packages must be in boxes. No paper wrapped items or boxes will be accepted." **** YOU, UPS! So, now what? They sit in my car another 6 months until I find a ****ing box or I try another carrier. All this trouble because ironmind couldn't make a ****ing stable product the first time. <deep breaths> Well, that shoots that down. Time to go tan. I tan and promptly leave. We get some food at the chinese restaurant and then head to the drug store to send some money for an item I had won. I give the lady the slip with all the information and she takes her good old ****ing time putting it in the computer. After waiting far too long she hands me my receipt and tells me there is a $15 service fee. $15 to send $40!?!? Those serial rapist bastards. I walk out and notice she spelled the dude's last name wrong, so I have to go back and start the whole thing over. Now, I know some people are dumb, but in no way could the I and N be mistaken for a W. I can see if they were closer together and touching the line, but no...they were perfectly clear. In a business where accuracy is necessary for success, you'd think that literacy would be the number one priority, wouldn't you? Alright, another 15 minutes wasted. I need to go to the grocery store. Need. Did I go? No. Why? Because my girlfriend didn't feel like going to the store. I was in no mood to argue with her about it, so we go home. Out of the five things I wanted to get done, two actually were accomplished, one of which was painfully difficult. I'm ready for a nap...But not yet. I still have to workout. The workout sucks and I'm just pissed off and frustrated. I take a shower and just try to relax for a bit.

My objective for the evening was to go see Kill Bill before it stops being shown. Our friends were all going to head to the theatre and see the movie, then go wherever. We get a call about 6:00 with the "backout." They want to go bowling instead. This translates to, "We don't want to see Kill Bill, we want to see Scary Movie 3. But, since we don't want to admit this to you, we're going to say we don't want to see any movie at all, just so it doesn't become an argument about what movie we want to see and us always getting our way because we are stupid bitches who only care about ourselves." I didn't feel like going to the movies anymore at this point, so I just took my overdue nap. Got up, went bowling, that sucked, went to eat, that sucked, then went home. This was the least successful day I've had in a while.

Sunday wasn't too bad. Went to chi chi's for my friend's 21st birthday and then came home. Nothing too spectacular.

Today I did my morning ab pinch and retained a 10mm ab pinch from last week. At one point this weekend it was 9mm, shockingly. It's all about how much water I'm holding at the moment. I hope to get down much lower this week. I'm going to add more cardio since I am removing some of the leg work due to my tendons still being touchy. I ordered this thing (http://www.newyorkbarbells.com/02001.html) as well. I hope my walls can withhold my weight, but if they can't I'll just hold onto it until I find a place where the walls can. I hate living in a ****ing cheap-ass apartment. My mission is to think positively this week. I didn't make much progress last week and I need to really focus now. I think the lack of cardio was the biggest detriment to my progress, so I'll be certain not to miss it now.

Put a healthy layer of skulpt on my boobez and prepared today's feast. Doesn't matter what I eat though, because it all tastes like corn.

I've lowered the oatmeal slightly and added olive oil for it's amazing uncoupling prowess. Plus, I have a ton of it that's not being used.

  · lateral raise
    10x15, x15

  · cardio
    10 minutes @ 3.0

I switched out flyes for incline dumbbell press for a few reasons. One, I want to get away from that horrid cable machine. Two, I have a theory that the reason my power workouts aren't working so much is because my body is adjusting to these motions because they are done 3x a week as compared to the power motions at 1x a week. So, I'll see if it makes a difference this week.

Huge pump in my entire upper body. Leaving me once again wishing that I always looked that full. I opted for some cardio afterward, just because I feel more motivated this week than last. Energy levels were good, took yohimbine pre-workout, so I think it may have helped. The weights selected were perfect, so no strength lost. All in all, a good monday workout.

Bottom Line : Energy up, weights good, only slightly nauseated, but I took extremely short rests in between sets.

Last night I got very nauseated when I came home from work, but I wasn't due to eat for another hour. I drank some diet snapple and ended up giving in and eating my next meal of cottage cheese and blueberries. That didn't help at all and I was extremely pissed off. I was slipping into ketosis and the first time back in is always an extreme bitch. I said the hell with this and grabbed half an ounce of oatmeal and the sickness went away in about 15 minutes. I guess lowering my carbs that far asn't the best game plan. Today I adjust accordingly.

This morning the ab pinch came in at a consistent 9mm, which is what I was hoping for. The chest was a consistent 4.5 and the leg was 14. That's a 3-site of 7.6%, which means very little in my world. I took a picture similar to one I took at the beginning of the month this morning. I'm not quite sure how my pinches keep going down but the difference visually is minimal. It can be frustrating, but whatever.

7.6% (or 9.6%) Isn't too bad! Regardless of if you think the pics look the same, you should post them. Dieting people aren't always rational thinkers. ;)

I say it enough, damnit! I hold fat in non-manly areas, so no matter how much fat I pinch, my bodyfat calculations are grossly low and my "focal points" like the pecs make me very unhappy. I'm pleased with my progress, but I'm just sick of cutting. I should look like ****ing Bruce Lee by now.

I'll post a pre-bulk picture the final day of my diet. It won't look any better than the picture I posted last time though. I think I'm losing more fat off of my arms though, based on how they looked the other day. My neck is leaner and I'm losing more from my lower back than abs at this point. I think my 3-site will stay the same until the end, but those areas that I can't exactly measure will lean up more.

The day didn't get interesting until after lunch. I did a long(ish) cardio session and took a long hard look in the mirror. After the cardio I showed a tremendous difference all around so I was extremely pleased. Not sure how much of it is water loss, but let me tell you that I busted a side tri shot and I was very very pleased. No matter how bad cardio sucks, it seems to be essential. The sad truth is, even if there are FFA's coming out of the fat cells, they're not going anywhere without some blood flow and on these final days, the more blood flow the better.

Morning
  · treadmill
    45 minutes 3.5 @ 7.5°

I used Yohimburn to avoid staining and rubbed it all over my handles o' love. Popped 25 of e, 15 of y, and 200 of c, then drove to work to walk in place for a while. I did 10° for about 10 minutes, then my legs were aching a little, so I pulled back to 7.5°. That was comfortable. I would've walked for a full hour, but my nuts hurt and I was going to be late so I stopped sooner.

Afternoon
  · 45° leg press

  · cybex neutral row
    140x6, 140x6
  · lateral raise
    25x6

I was pretty tired and adding extra leg and inc db presses wore me out by the end. It's all good though, cause now I be in carbo-land!

Today's topic : Extended Pleasure/Climax Control Condoms

"What a great idea," thought the inventor of this earth-shattering revolution in condom technology! "People can now have sex for hours upon end without fear of ejaculation!" Yeah, thanks.

For those of you not familiar with this new wave of rubbers, they are a normal condom, which is lined with a topical anesthetic. At first, this sounds like a great idea, especially to younger males and singles trying to impress the ladies. I mean, who wouldn't want to be able to proclaim that they can last for hours without orgasm? Well, obviously this idea was not thought out very well.

Problems with using a topical anesthetic in a condom
· You can't ****ing feel anything.
What the hell is the point of having sex if your dick is ****ing numb? Doesn't having a piece of latex hugging your cock dull the sensation enough? To add insult to injury, the orgasms suck too. One of the two times I used one of these things I didn't even know I finished! Extended pleasure? Pleasure for who? Not the girl...

· Who failed to realize that if you put a topical anesthetic on the "inside" of a sealed package that it is going to cover the outside too?
Yes, another stroke of pure genius. Not only are you numb and totally unaware of your own wang, but the girl gets numb too! So, now both of you lose complete sensation, further defeating the purpose of birth-controlled sex. If I wanted to spend two hours out of breath while looking at a naked woman, I'd watch porn while doing cardio. Either way, I'm going to need a shower and a sandwich, but with cardio only one person ends up pissed off.

· There's no turning back.
Do you plan on using this condom to make yourself look like a sex machine? Better get used to these bars, kid...
If you've only had sex with a girl one time and you've used a condom that totally destroys any amount of enjoyment in sex, you can't go back to a regular condom. Well, you can, but if the first time you have sex with a girl lasts a solid hour, then the next time you last 3 minutes, chances are she'll suspect something's up. Unless you can afford to take the time to whack-off 10 minutes before every encounter, you're going to look like a big dumbass when you "come up short" the rest of your relationship (which I suspect won't be very long).

Is this the best they can come up with? I don't need these things to make my sexual experiences less pleasurable. I am going to accomplish that this weekend by drinking a 12-pack of high life and spending 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get off her pants. Climax Control? No ****ing thanks.

My alarm went off at 6:15 this morning and my girlfriend hit "off" instead of snooze. That means I got up at 6:47. fückshi±p1ss.

It's November! You know what that means, right? Yes, it's time for a super massive insane rootin' tootin' bulk-o-rama...or something like that. Today I start by throwing myself up to maintenance. I probably did a little damage this weekend by eating so poorly, but I'm going to make up for it by a clean 8 weeks.

I'm going to do very light training this week, just to get the feel for my workout. I'm skipping legs though, because I'd like to have my knee healed up before I try to add weight to my frame and leg motions.

Yeah, I'm extremely tired today. I think that I got ample sleep, but the weekend just exhausted me. Too much running around. Not having my ephedrine crutch also does me in, but whatever.

I'm gonna take my measurements tonight so I can do the "before" and "after" stat deal more accurately. For example, arms before: 10" arms after: 10.1" and so on.

http://www.hollowmedia.com/images/wbbboxes.gif Prandial Promulgation
Too much oatmeal! Too...much...oat...****, it's too late; my taste buds fell off.

I've determined that I don't like eating that much unless I'm very hungry, in which case I eat a ton. Then I don't feel like eating again for a long time. Long story short, I get fat very quickly.

Alright, now that I'm back up to maintenance I took some stats to make sure I know where I stand.

Bodyweight: 171
Ab Pinch : 10mm
Pec Pinch: 4mm
Quad Pinch: 14mm
Bodyfat (3-site): 7.78%
Bodyfat (mirror): ~11%
Waist: 31" small, 32.5" wider
Arms: 15"
Chest (relaxed): 41" (boo)
Quad: 24.5"
Calves: 14.5"

I can see some serious problems with the chest and calves. Those are my focus for this bulk. Otherwise, these are my befores. Good times. I'd like to hit 180 without much fat gain, if possible.

With this I give you a picture that is the only somewhat flattering one I took today.

This workout rocked! I absolutely loved it. I wore myself out with the bb rows, but they were much cleaner than the last time I tried them. I have a feeling these will really be good for me. The bench was soso, but I left it low so I can progress slowly. The JM presses were insane. Also, very nice. Very happy with it!

I bought that doorway gym and assembled it last night. I placed it on the door frame and tried to balance my weight on it once. The wall cracked. **** you fuzz.

I am sore today, but it is an an awesome way. I really enjoyed doing a workout with real barbells and real goals that didn't include spending 1 hour killing myself. Lowering my volume is amazing! It's been so long since I've had this kind of fun working out. This will allow for an excellent bulk.

My plans took an odd turn a few moments ago. It appears as though I will be back to cutting for 2 more weeks. *DUCKS*

Before you yell and call me a "stupid ****," let me explain. I got a phone call from the woman informing me that we were going back to California for Thanksgiving. I know my eating will not be manageable when I am out there, I can't do very much about it. I'll bring some trioplex bars and make healthy food selections, but if I'm in a caloric surplus, I'll just get fat like last time. I'm also picking up Optimum's Complete Protein Diet, as it seems to be a good choice to keep my protein high while I'm out there.

So yeah, that makes this week feel a lot less. spectacular. My chest is still totally destroyed today. This is the most severe DOMS I've had since I started. I love it.

This has been a successful week of maintenance. My bodyfat has not increased and I've noticed just a little extra water retention and actually way less than I had expected. I still 3-site in around 7.8 and my bodyweight remained 169 as of this morning. So, I guess I've achieved maintenance, at ~2500kcal.

Now, I get to go back to UD2, but at least I know my maintenance for when I bulk. When I begin bulking, I'll slowly increase the calories up to about 15% over, then increase as I see fit.

The DOMS is still remaining in my chest and anterior delts and is creeping up on the upper back and legs from last night. I'm not going to do more this week, going to save my efforts for the depletions.

I'll slowly increase the calories up to about 15% over

Any reason for this amount. A % amount seems to make sense on some levels, ie, a bigger person could produce more muscle than a smaller person. But Im not sure if that is true, it just makes sense in my head. 15% for you is what, about 300 calories? for me, about 500. so hmmm. something i will think about at work ;)

SUSHI! Your assistance has been priceless. Totally no value whatsoever.

http://www.hollowmedia.com/images/wbbboxes.gif mint
Well, for me, it metabolically makes sense. A person with a higher maintenance level seems to handle excess calories better than I do. If you and I weigh the same and your maintenance is 3000, while mine is 2500, your metabolism may be more efficient. Mind you, this is merely interpretation on my part. I notice people who have a maintenance level of 3500-4000 end up bulking with 6000 to produce results. I've seen that when I go 500 over, I immediately start packing on weight. The first time I bulked my maintenance was 2300. I went to 2750 and went from 148 to 162 in 2 or 3 weeks. When I cut back down, I was the same bodyfat and 155, so I put on some muscle, but I also put on some fat.

So, taking a simple starting point like 15% can make sense in this case. I'd actually consider starting at 10%, then upping to 15%, then taking it from there. But I'm going to be in experimentation mode this time (macro experimenting), so I'm going to throw them up a little higher to see what happens.

I took some initial pinches this morning, just to see if any progress was visible. I was surprised to see that the chest and ab pinch lowered a little. There was an obvious difference between the range of pinches that I had last week and this morning. I hope it continues, like the first weeks I did the diet. I opted for a little yohimburn this morning on my chest and love handles. I am almost out, so I'll just finish up with it this week. I don't really want to use the Skulpt as it ruins my shirts and if I tried it on my legs I'm afraid it would mark up my dresspants.

I'm working on a cool bulking system right now that I'm letting a few friends try out. With any luck, it'll work out as I planned and it will be a good way to bulk without excess fat gain.

Last night I decided to use Skulpt right before bed, so I could wear a black shirt and not stain it up. I'm going to continue this method for the remainder of the diet. Even if it's not related, this morning all of my pinch-ranges were down. My abs (8, 8.5, 9), thigh (13, 13.5, 14), and pec (4, 4.5) were all improvements.

Like a moron, I forgot my workout bag on the table, so cardio will not happen this afternoon. But, I am going to do what I can to get some in this evening. Perhaps I'll convince the woman that we're overdue for about 45 minutes of moderate intensity lovin'.

Today my ab pinch was back to 9, but my leg and chest remained at 13.5 and 4, respectively. That reads 7.3% on the 3-site, which puts me "on target" for a 1 pound fat loss again this week. At my weight and composition, I've calculated that a half percent is roughly one pound. That makes sense, since I am at a ~3750kcal deficit plus cardio at the moment, which is roughly a pound of fat. The interesting thing is the lack of weight loss persists. I don't lose much when depleting and I bet I'll be the same weight on Monday.

I've decided to switch my methods around next week. I'm going to do a controlled deficit with lowered carbs and a refeed. I think it'll be roughly 1750kcal Mon/Tue/Wed, refeed Thursday, back down on Fri/Sat. I'm leaving for vacation Sunday morning, so I can't make any promises about that day. I'll still include three days of cardio to try to get up to a full pound. I also plan on skipping legs next week giving me a solid two weeks to recover any knee issues, since apparently one week wasn't enough. It's time to see if a normal diet will do me any good.

Unfortunately, I only got in 44 minutes and 30 seconds of cardio last night.

Holy **** I love this. The barbell curls were way harder than I expected. The last set is what gets you, when you take 30 seconds rest inbewtween. Slowly progressing on all other motions, as planned. Eventho next week will likely include one workout at best.

I needed more air in my swiss ball, so balance was too tough to add weight. But, they were far harder than I had expected, so it was all good. I definitely need some direct ab work, damn.

Planks are very cool and I found them to be much more challenging if you keep your back flat instead of arching it up. Sean Illes pointed me to some ab routines on his favorite site, t-mag, which allowed me to realize how weak I've let my abs become. After looking in the mirror post-workout, I saw how they could look, so I'm going to focus on them a bit this time around.

I was just following the pictures shown on those websites. I moved positions a lot until I found something that felt more difficult. Keeping your feet together, your elbows together, and your back flat, that plank exercise was aweseome. Although, I will say that I felt it in the lower back as well.

I'm now on a regular cyclic diet with a normal workout system. This is a huge relief. I'm skipping legs (I know I know...blasphemy) which will give me a solid 2 weeks recovery time for this sore tendon and with any luck it will be healed up by the time I am ready to bulk. My diet split is about 35f/25c/40p at a little over 1700kcal.

Cardio-oh!

  ·cardio
    45 minutes between 3.6 and 4.0 @ 5.0°

I was mostly on 4.0, but I took about 30 seconds here and there to drop to 3.6 and test my heart rate on the handle thingies. The highest it got was 125...Odd? When I first started doing this cardio bull**** I was around 155bpm at 3.2, so I guess I'm getting in better shape or something.

So, post-cardio, I look in the mirror and stretch and I see a line from my ankle to my knee. I was like, "That couldn't be?" IT WAS! IT WAS A VEIN! I never would've thought it could happen! I cried a little, then took a shower.

Instead of music, since there was none, I wrote a song in my head based on some parts I already had written previously. Then I watched Hollywood Diet Disorders, which detailed how ****ed up famous people are. That was good fun. Missy Elliot states, "I goes to da gym 4 times a..." What I expected to follow was "year" or more optimistically "week." No, my friends. She goes to the gym 4 times a DAY. She says that she goes to the gym and runs four ****ing times a day, everyday. That's ****in insane! I really hope she was being hyperbolic for the sake of the television program.

I got sick last night and it almost felt like ketosis sick. That's really ****ed considering how much higher my calories were, but I grabbed a twinkie and a few minutes after the sugary goodness hit my stomach, I felt better. This morning I am little bloated and I'm surprised by that, but whateva.

Tonight I'm going to see A Perfect Circle in the city. It should be a pretty good show, although I'm not a big fan of concerts with a lot of children/teenagers/people.

I moved to the new, tiny cubical today. I have almost no room whatsoever; it's wonderful! Not to mention the horrid glare on my monitor! I don't have any time to write up anything for my update because I'm busy cleaning and rearranging, plus doing all the work that needs to be done before vacation. It's going to be a hectic week.

What an interesting ****ing week.

I was pretty miserable at the concert due to a inner ear thing that was going on and we sat on these uncomfortable bleachers. It wasn't that great. Then the opening band started to play, but no one had any idea who they were going to be. Turns out it was Year of the Rabbit! That was a very pleasant surprise since they were one of my favorite new bands. After their set ended my friends went out to smoke and they came back with 3 backstage passes for after the show. My girlfriend told me to take hers because she knew how much I wanted to meet them. I didn't want to take it because APC was one of her favorite bands and all so I told her to just get me an autograph or something. APC went on stage and maynard sounded like ****. His voice was all nasally and he cracked a few times. So, the girls go to the backstage thing and I asked the guy who ran it if I could go as well and he said, "Notice anything about the people going? They're all girls. No dudes allowed." I was like, "Uh, great." Then, the security made us (me and the other boyfriends) leave the area. Then, the hall. Then, the lobby. Then, the front of the building. So I'm standing out in the rain in by the tour bus waiting for the girls to return. 45 minutes I waited. I saw them come from the building and get directed to go on the tour bus, but my girl caught a glimpse of me in the rain and signalled her friends to leave. One of them was still trying to get on the bus, but I reasserted my wish for them to get the **** out of there and they all came down. I think they were a little disappointed, but I was ****ing soaked.

I ask them what happened and they said that they sat them in a circle in a room and they all talked, then people came in from the bands one at a time. The last dude to come in was Twiggy Ramirez of Marilyn Manson fame. He selected my girlfriend and her friends to go with him down the hall towards the bus. She informed him that I was waiting outside for her and he told her to get on his back and he'd carry her out to me. She refused but he coerced her saying it would be funny. Once she got on his back he asked if I was a fan and when she said that I was he decided that he didn't want to piss me off (and likely get his ****ing teeth kicked in), so he didn't. Essentially, this was like a harem selection for them where they picked about 15-20 girls from the audience and had them go backstage in an attempt to sleep with them. The key command given was "no pictures or autographs until the end of the evening." They were told if either was requested, they would be escorted from the area immediately.

So, I got sicker. Sick from the rain, sick from the ear-ache I already had, and sick from those douche bags that I respected as musicians. Why is it that every ****ing concert my girlfriend goes to, some ****ing rockstar wants to sleep with my girlfriend? I'm so ****ing tired...

This was supposed to go up yesterday, but the site was down.

You're all pussies for not liking my avatar.

I was thinking about my training today and I really have a lat/tricep powerlifting style bench press. It may be the reason my lats are way better than my chest. I have a few options that I could examine.
1. Stop benching
Don't want to do that, really. I like benching.
2. Change bench form.
This will also be difficult, since I'm so used to the "groove" from my current bench.
3. Switch to db benching
I even make these into tricep/lat exercises when the weight goes up, so I don't know if it will even work.

I think I'll switch up bench and 30° incline db bench when I do my hypertrophy system. We'll just see how it works out.

I need to find a doctor who will transfer some of the muscle in my ass to my chest.

Based on my new program, it blends benching with flyes, but I may rotate to flat db benching every other workout.

So, California...yeah. It was ****ing cold. I left Pittsburgh at a comfortable 60 degrees and landed in a 45 degree soggy mess. Took three days to warm up, then BAM 1000's of people always around and we couldn't even enjoy it. It was a boring week and we only got to the beach to take pictures. It warmed up to the 70's, but it was still windy and way colder than I'd hoped. It was a nice break from the normal routine, but far from what I'd consider a great vacation. I got some nice clothes though. I got a shirt depicting a boy riding a bicycle with no arms. He has a little dream balloon and he's wishing he had arms so he could hand signal. Poetry. I also picked up a hat that makes me look even more like Bam Magera and a few pairs of pants.

It's day one of my bulk. Are you excited? I bet you are! I don't have any solid goals aside from making my gains as lean as possible. I can't afford to throw on a ton of fat this winter as I know exactly where that puts me. I weighed myself this morning and I was 167lbs. That's not great. I guess I'd like to see 180.

    135x5, 155x5, 175x5, 175x5, 175x5
Totally changing form so I can focus on chest instead of triceps. I always sacrifice weight for this, but it's worth it.

· dumbbell flyes [30 seconds rest]
    30x13, 30x12, 30x12, 30x12
These are blah.

· jm press [2 minutes rest]
    95x6, 95x6, 95x6
Still working on form here, but the last set was tremendously easy in comparison to the first two once I got the groove.

· barbell row [2 minutes rest]
    95x5, 165x5, 165x5, 165x5
****, why is this hard? Seriously? My back is the most ginormous and weak part of my body.

· fatbar curls [30 seconds rest]
    60x12, 60x12, 60x12, 60x12

· swiss ball crunches
    0x12, 0x12, 0x12, 0x8
· forearm support planks
    25 seconds, 25 seconds

I was decimated before I even started this workout. I fell asleep for 15 minutes on the couch after taking some ephedrine and it was just downhill from there. I'm glad I chose to do a weekly progression deal because even these so called "lower" weights gave me a little bit of trouble. I just need more sleep. I guess the two weeks off didn't help much either.

I do, however, enjoy being weak. Struggling ith weights that are ~50lbs less than last year this time makes me so ****ing happy! Man, what a great year!

I could barely get 6 hours of sleep. My schedule is screwed up and I woke up often.

Wow.

It's a 2" diameter bar that I use for curls. It really crushes my forearms. I also use 2" diameter dumbbells for most of my dumbbell motions (except rows, which is just too much). I have small hands so using thick bars is a challenge.
