I didn't update it until I came home so I just put what I have up when I leave work and update the rest later. I felt Tryska and my conversation would have lost some meaning had I pulled a "MonStar" so I just wrote a reminder so people see it's up there.

Oh yeah, yes, I am off my meds! :help:

I AM SO TIRED TODAY.

I am taking a vacation day tomorrow. I'd like to take a whole week off, but I can't.

I'm finding myself very depressed, tired, and miserable today. Oddly enough, I own a few "wife-beater" shirts in S and M. The S ones fit snug before and the M ones were fairly lose. Today the M one is as tight as the S one normally is. I don't know what exactly that is indicating. I don't feel like guessing either. I can't be getting bigger with restricted calories, that's just nuts. I'm so tired...ugh.

Tryska
10-24-2002, 10:13 AM
i'm tired today too, but i'm blaming it on thyroid hormone and traveling.

maybe the M shrunk?

<ducks and covers>Invasion!!!

I would assume the M would've completed shrinking the first 10 or so washings. Laundry process is similar.

I have a million things going on and I feel like junk. Ever notice when you have a relationship, that if one aspect is awry, it affects all other aspects? It feels like I have some estrogen imbalance today. I feel all emotional. I'm gonna buy some anti-estrogens and drown myself in testosterone. I think I'll take anger over depression.

Cutting Diet: Day 42 of 42

This was the original "last day" of my diet. Since I've decided to hold off on my bulk because I am not yet prepared, I will extend my cut a little longer. I did a pinch this morning and funny enough, after a weekend of crappy food and candy I came out with a smaller pinch than last week. I'm not yet satisfied and I am still considering some of my options at this point.

Today I pinched (AS MUCH) fat as possible from my stomach and took a pinch. Then I pinched a normal pinch.
The big one was 14mm the small one was 10mm.

Chest - Big one was 5mm small was 3.5mm
Leg - Big one was 16mm small was 14mm

Worst case: 9.8%
Best case: 7.5%

I can see all my ribs and I have an outline on the abs but they don't seem to want to pop out, so I guess I'll take the worst case. I couldn't get a bigger ab pinch if I tried (than 14), so I can assume I'm not higher than 10%. The only issue that may play into things is my ass and lower-chest fat, which are disproportionate.

I'm going to keep cutting and do a weekend refeed. My shipment on the Novladex says from 9-23 days, which puts me sometime in November. Great to know...

I may just bulk, then do the Novladex the next cut. I'm not all about waiting, and my titties have gone down a bit. Maybe another week or two of cutting, then an extreme bulk, then another cut, and maybe I'll be slightly closer to my goals.

A question to those who might know: During a bulk, if I want to prevent stretch marks, would using cocoa butter on my "tighter" areas every day or every other day help? I'm going for broke this time and my skin tends to stretch pretty nastily, so the last thing I want is more stretch marks.

Why is it that those that have stretch marks don't want them, but those who don't do? Treat them as battle scars from packing on the beef.

Since my arms/shoulders are the only areas in which I tend to get them, I smear cocoa butter on those areas daily while bulking--often both in the morning, before my workout, and after. Seems to have prevented them, but I dunno that I would have gotten any if I didn't do that. I think it helps.

The trapbarDeadSquats are just trapbar deadlifts with small enough plates where I go down ass-to-calves and use my legs as the primary mover.

Don't feel weak. My abs are developed pretty fully from years and years of martial arts. They make my stomach look "thicker" even though there isn't much fat. I won't mind once I get some meat on my chest.

BTW, I hated dumb bell lunges, but they corrected a biomechanical problem I had. They are perfectly hateable though. Are they walking lunges, or just alternating?

galileo
10-31-2002, 09:58 AM
Alternating, very narrow lunges. They prevent my lower back from compressing. No more back squats for this guy. :(

I got in late last night (after a chiro apt) and my back felt like crap and I just couldn't muster the strength to train. I benched a little but it wasn't very taxing. I did up to 180x6 (the last rep needed a little help) and I got pissed and quit. My energy levels were just too low. I can wait a few days and do it again. With any luck my back will feel good by then.

That piece of art is a masterpiece. Brilliant. As if you studied with Caravaggio himself.

The back feels better today. After one disc injury it seems it's easy for it to keep coming back. I feel it's partially due to my squat form, which needs a little work. But it's still too sensitive for me to even imagine trying back-burden exercises.

I am a master at the classic art stylings from the mspaint era. During my "stick" period I felt I had satiated my cravings for the creation of two-dimensional geometrics, but apparently I still had some left in me. Await my next piece...it shall be grander than the last!

Also, I hope your genitals really don't look like that. Unless, of course, you're an elephant.

As for my genitals being an illusion, it is kind of an illusion, because its like running up some stairs, and instead of being at the top, you're just cresting the top of a mound and overlooking a grand vista of miles and miles more penis. Then yes, it is kind of an illusion. Most penises have a definable endpoint. I havent found mine. Everytime I masturbate, I hear about flood in some third world country, or sunspots.

My back is still in some pain so I've decided to take a week off, then go for a week of 15's for the lactic acid tendon protection, then move into my bulk. I'll be upping my calories a little this week until I hit maintenance, then when my bulk starts I'm going to eat like crazy.

I'm looking forward to my bulk. I'm picking out the foods I shall be eating now. I am going for a low-fat bulk this time where my fats will come from primarily high lignin flax seed oil. My carbs will consist primarily of oatmeal, milk, and strawberries. My proteins will be tuna, turkey, milk, chicken, and cottage cheese.

I'm looking forward to gaining a bit of mass, so wish me luck! I'll start a new journal when that time comes. In the mean time, feel free to BS on here, I'll probably post some crap now and then.

I assume this means you're just doing a week of high reps and then returning to something similar to your current routine--not that you're tryng HST.

Well, I haven't decided on a routine as of yet. My problem with HST is that my schedule doesn't necessarily permit me to lift with the MWF type schedule, although if I did it I would do my absolute best to adhere. I know you like HST, what do you think?

Dude, I love all of those foods except tuna. My dinners may be fried chicken once in a while, but I totally enjoy the rest of that stuff. When I do my refeeds and eat crap like candy or fat-free cookies I get sick as hell. I tried to eat a sundae last night and got through 2-3 bites. I don't like bulking because I usually feel very bloated and nasty. It sucks.

But, I will control my food during the day (@ work) and at night I'll be a little more loose about my choices. I just don't like the idea of getting fat :)

You don't need to necessarily lift on MWF. The main point is just lifting three times a week without letting too much time elapse between workouts. Protein synthesis starts declining at about the 36 hour mark after a workout, so in a more theoretically ideal implementation of HST one would actually train Monday morning, Tuesday Evening, Thursday morning and so forth. Taking a bit less (or more) time off between workouts should not really affect things substantially IMO, so I think you could quite easily adapt it to your schedule.

Tuna makes me gag at this point--unless I add some olive oil. So do grilled chicken breasts--unless their doctored up in some way. I'm a moron and generally will eat a food at every meal until the sight of it makes me want to vomit. I'm trying to mix things up with my current diet so I don't get sick of my current meals which are generally either: a cajun grilled chicken breast and broccoli or faux chicken parmesan(extra lean grilled turkey, low-fat mozzarella, and marinara).

I got a lot to do this week (today).

1. Order more ALA.
2. Set up my new diet.
3. Set up my new training routine. HST? Push/Pull/Legs? chest-back/legs-abs/arms? Full body?
4. Slowly up my calories to maintenance [not so sure].
5. Call the insurance company to have my windshield fücking fixed since a fücking rock flew and hit my fücking windshield and damaged my fücking glass and fücking paint.
6. Pay my rent. (Whoops...)

This sucks big time. The glass is easy to replace - but the paint never seems to be the same.

Good luck on your mass gaining Galileo. You appear to have a fair bit of room in terms of your BF so you should be fairly safe in increasing you weight and allowing a bit of an increase in BF along the way. Good luck as well in managing those increases along the way. I generally felt bloated and constipated during my bulk esp. since my system wasn't used to that much real food.

As for HST, I have found that it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be in mixing my schedule around. Mine has not been optimal as B&I has described (36 hours etc. *note to self, I need to look in to that comment more*) but I have been successful in getting in 3 workouts a week with generally a two day rest somewhere in there.

I don't know why I feel I have to share, but I do. I guess it's because I am sitting here at work with tears welling up in my eyes.

I felt abnormally inspired to write [musically] today and when these rare moments of passion surface, I can not choose to ignore them. It's been a long time since I've felt much emotion other than the cookie-cutter pre-packaged feelings that I dish out as much as receive. Most things in my life are now subject to these default cause-effect relationships which not only dull out the pain, but also serve as a suitable decoy for the reality beneath.

Today is the day I become genuine again.

There are things I need to take care of in my life that I have neglected for too long. There are people who need to be forgiven and events I need to get beyond. If this does not happen I fear I will never be happy again. I am not willing to sacrifice my sanity for numbness any longer.

My life as of late has been ridiculously complex, beyond anything I share with even my closest friends. I use the word "ridiculously" with 100% confidence. This is ridiculous.

Like many, I bury the unpleasant with the pleasant. When you're feeling depressed people like to say, "look at all the good things you have" or "you are much better off than some people." Even with those things considered, these ideas have little effect on eliminating the problems that are very real in one's life. I used to tell myself that the things I do have will make up for the things that are missing. I am now aware of how I must approach things.

I'm staring at the words that I've written down and everytime I my eyes trace the lines, I relive all of the events to which they refer. Everytime I hold the picture that I didn't let go of for weeks at a time, it bares the sick feelings I thought I had long since forgotten. Sometimes to forget is to remember. Steering wheels and photographs.

I have one week to work through all of this.

Seriously guys, a huge thanks goes out to all of you. I wrote what I did not to gather attention, but to let it out. I'm glad you understood what I was saying, on any level. My recent epiphanies have served me quite well so far. I'm starting to feel real again.

News
I'm working on my new format this week. I have some decent ideas on how I want it to look so expect the new journal to begin on Sunday evening.

I've started a new band in the past few weeks and things are going pretty well. Much better than I imagined, at least. Sometime next year, we will be willing to travel to play a city near you. If you are into indie rock with a little bit of a heavy edge, you'll probably like what we're doing. So, if you know of any clubs in your area that are willing to pay minor travel expenses (gasoline), we will be more than happy to come out.

I worked out for the first time in a bit last night and did high reps to get the lactic acid flowing. The rest of my night was unexpectedly pleasant as well. Ace.

Training
All of my motions were very very slow and deliberate and I used very minimal weight.

Flat Bench Flyes: 15x10, 25x15
Weighted Dips: BWx10, +25x15
Incline Dumbell Press: 25x15
Neutral Chinups: BWx15, BWx10
Dumbell Row: 25x15
Pullovers: 25x15

Plier Holds with a bucket (grip): 40lbsx10sec:10sec, 60lbsx15sec:15sec
Wrist Curls: 60lbsx15

I just did one of those "Maximum Bodyweight" deals which is based on frame size (Ankle and Wrist) and height.

My maximum bodyweight (natural) at 8% bodyfat is : 178lbs

Max Chest: 47.8"
Max Biceps: 17.1"
Max Forearms: 13.7"
Max Neck: 16.9"
Max Thighs: 24.0"
Max Calves: 16.7"

I got some growing to do.

I had a weird-ass dream last night. I dreamed I was at my parents' house and there was this wooden monster thing that was nine feet tall and I was trying to throw stuff at it, but all I had were kali stick, which are bamboo, and the monster would assimilate them as they hit it. Then he created a key for door using his woodyness and he got in the house. He locked the door as he went in so I had to go around to another door for which I had a key. I was really cautious, looking around the house for the monster, and it was gone. All of a sudden kid rock and his entire tour team was setting up a stage on the front lawn. I ran out and was like "GET OFF MY LAWN YOU WHITE TRASH PIECE OF CRAP." He was like "Whoah, hold up there partner." Then I woke up.

My dreams are creepy as hell.

Been sick. Had a 16 hour headache yesterday...that's something I could live without. I got Aleve during hour 15 and it finally went away. I woke up feeling much better this morning. Still have a sore throat, but I feel much much better. Now, I'm going to a chiropractor three times this coming week so my back is 100% and I wanna feel perfect for my upcoming bulk. I've been putting it off, but only because I don't want to screw something up and end up just getting fatter. One thing is for sure, I <need> some size to my chest and legs. If I end up having to do leg extensions and curls because of my lower back, so be it.

I'm excited. I just hope this week goes as planned. Feeling better after an illness is amazing. You want to conquer the world!

I wanted to ask you about your db crunches. When placing the db on your chest, do you place the bar parallel to your body or across your chest? I guess in a 3d world, you may also instead have the bar perpenticular to your body jutting up to the sky as well.

The End [/B]

Hmmmm. I wonder if he means do not. . .

Howdy! Thought I'd come visit you since you visited me! I haven't read the whole thing, it will have to wait a couple days, but this reminded me of a story.

Survival school when I was in the Air Force was taught in the mountains near Spokane, Washington and we had perfect weather for it. In the 60's during the day (springtime) which was great for humping a 60# pack up and down the mountains all day, but it was very dry. They warned us to drink 6 canteens (1Qt-so that's a gallon and an half) of water every day.

So you get into this wonderful down-filled military sleeping bag at night, in your skivvies, they said it was better to leave your clothes out of the bag to dry and you'd sleep better. I'll tell you there is no better feeling than lying in a down-filled sleeping bag in the mountains in Washington at night as the temperature drops to just below freezing, and watching the stars as you fall asleep.

And then the pissing begins. And seemingly never stops. You'd wake up and have this conversation with yourself about whether you could wait until morning, and just when you were sure you were going to scream, you jumped out of the bag, stuffed your bare feet into your cold boots, walked a few feet away and pissed while the cold wind blew, you standing there in your skivvies. Yikes! Maybe 25 degrees and windy. You'd swear your prunes were going to turn to raisins and dissappear up inside you somewhere and you'd never see them again.

If you were lucky, you only had to do this 3 times or so during the night. But it was so dry up there you really had to keep drinking while humping around the woods all day. It was torture!

Cheers!

JPC

Welcome to my joinal! It's almost closed, but the first few pages were somewhat amusing. Great story by the way, my brother is in the Army and I've heard similar from him. :)

I've started my bulk this week and it is rockin' steady. I feel bigger already. I worked out last night but my weights were puny. By the end of my chest set it was dead...same with back.

Dumbell Fly: 25x8, 40x8, 40x8
Dips: BWx8, +35x8, +65x8
Incline DB Press: +45x8, +55x6
The last rep of the db press was sloppy and I knew if I tried another it would end up with my teeth in a nice neat pile near the back of my throat. I guess after all the other sets I was beat. I'm used to a lower-volume routine. This also substantiates my claims that I have no chest and all triceps.

Chins: bwx8, +15x8, +20x8
DB Rows: 55x8:8, 65x8:8, 65x8:8
Pullovers: 45x8, 45x8
Ugh, I was tired and even the 65lb dumbell rows seemed hard. I hit up 85lbers at one point but last night it just wasn't coming. I need to find a way to boost my energy for workouts.

More to come. Life is uber hectic so I can't get any free time.

galileo
11-13-2002, 09:19 PM
Did legs today. I'm pathetic and weak.

Leg Extension: 45x10, 90x10, 90x8, 110x10
Easy enough.

Dumbell Lunges: 60x8, 60x8 (per hand)
These are like death. Every rep is like watching a family member being beaten and raped and all you can do is try to ****ing stand up with one leg.

Ham Curls: 45x8, 70x8, 90x4 (drop) 80x8
Too much, using lower back at the 90lber, though 70 was very easy. 80 was just about right. Next time, I'll start higher.

Calf-Raise: 45x10:10, 10:10, 10:10
Yawn. My girlfriend was yelling at me so I had to be quick. I did these in 3.245543 seconds.

Bah.

Shoulders and Arms
Nothing special at all, but since this is my first heavy-weight lower-reps for a while it hurt....

shrugs : 140x10, 210x8, 240x8, 260x8
Mmmm. Ouch.

slow, light lateral raise : 15x10, 10, 10

dumbell overhead press : 45x8, 45x8
Holy crap this was way harder than I had expected.

dumbell tricep extensions : 25x8x4 (30 second rests )
Oh yeah..nice.

thick barbell curls : 70x8, 75x8
Easy.

dumbell hammer curls : 25x8, 8
I did these immediately after the barbell curls and the my arms both fell off.

The End.

I'm feeling jaded from all of the hyped-up new journals I'm reading. Maybe that's why it's taken me so long to start one up. I planned on doing some interesting graphics for the journal, but they'll have to be put on hold until I have the time. I will be posting mp3s and lyrics from my new project, aptly titled "galileo's last days."
Once I get the software installed (read: have five free minutes) I will be drawing up some ideas for cartoons and other things which I might be posting here. The ideas I have are based 100% on events that occur in my life, therefore they will be devoid of all meaning yet result in the further deprecation of my manhood.
At let us not forget the loads and loads of propaganda and other throat-cramming goodness! You can run, but you can't ****ing hide.

Thanks Franco!

My goals are hypertrophy for the next 8 weeks. At that point I will reassess my goals based on where I stand with bodyfat and LBM. Then, it's all strength baby!

Ha! I actually eat this clean for a few reasons. One, I don't mind the food (really) and second, it gives me some leeway in the evenings and on the weekends. That way, if I'm out, I don't feel like a total doucheBag everytime I grab something from TGIFriday's. Getting fat is not my goal on this bulk, so I'll do what it takes.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Introduction
I'm finally starting to enjoy this bulk. I started overeating last week and by my 4:00 meal, I was ready to not look at food again for the rest of the night. I literally forcefed myself a few days. So far this week, things are much easier. I don't mind the food and I actually look forward to meals.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Mastication and Deglutitionhttp://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/star4.gif
I ate quite well throughout the day consuming my first four meals as planned. I opted for Wendy's as the last meal because
there was no way I was getting enough protein out of what was left in my fridge. Final meal looked like this:
http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif grilled chicken sammich, 2 orders of nuggets, 1 order chicken strips

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Torpidity and Lethargyhttp://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/star4.gif

So, one of my good friends is a man-whore. He's always hooking up with the nastiest women on the ****ing planet, but he seems to enjoy himself. Apparently, last week he thought he'd play porn star. Rather than removing the panties of the fair tart he was screwing, he pulled the crotch of them to the side. Any 19 year old with a third of a functional brain should know better, but he doesn't exactly fit into that qualification. So he gets it on, gets too involved, and let's his hands slip from the panties, which results in an inch-long gash on the side of his dickhead, which he was more than happy to whip out and present to the people unfortunate enough to be hanging out in the living room [note: that is the first time I've used the word dickhead without it being an insult...I'm becoming quite sophisticated].

Anyhow, being the clever mah****a I am, I started calling him Gorbachev. Over a few days this shortened to gorbie...then in conversation, we made comments such as "Gettin some gorbie action tonight?" or "Hey, is gorbie gonna start the revolution?" That led to "Steve needs to get his gorbie some poon" and other wonderful variations. So, henceforth, replacing the former "schlonkey" will be the brand-new fantastic ultra-word...."gorbie." Feel free to use the word gorbie at will and describe in as much painful detail as possible its origin.

Probably that lace bull**** that make girls feel sexy. I can imagine how friction coupled with him being a bumbling idiot could cause a laceration on his gorbie. Maybe the girl had the same "i don't take my pants off" (http://www.wannabebigforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5974&postid=356475) rule as you and he was just fumbling with scissors and sliced himself...

Chest day! I had so much crap to do today, ugh. I get home at 5:30, I have to be at practice (30 minute drive) by 6:30 but before that I needed to pick up tickets to see Glassjaw/Coheed and Cambria. I also had to go to friggen Wal*Mart and get tuna, turkey, and a variety of home products. The lady at the register looked at me with one high half open and cackled. She then said something that sounded like, "Fo shizzle my nizzle." Followed by , "You be on the tuna and turkey diet, ayyyyyyyy? Ha Ha Ha Ha!" I kind of smiled and hoped to get out of there quickly. My bill came to $30.30 which she thought was a "good number." We're doomed.

Speaking of being doomed, let me not forget to mention that March 2003 will be the END OF THE ****ING WORLD (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00007EPJ6/ref=segway_tn_left/102-7741664-4508113). Grab your wives and children and head for the hills.

Anyhow, I wanted to get pick up some more Oly plates, but didn't find the time between running around. I got home about 10:00pm which was just soon enough to do my workout (while talking to Belial, rookie, and Arty) and get to sleep in time for a whopping 7 hours.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Mastication and Deglutitionhttp://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/star4.gif
I'd say my diet was perfect today, but I got so friggen hungry I went to the snack machine and got some zingers. Then I got a cranberry Panera bagel with cream cheese that was left over from some consultant bull**** that happened in the morning. I actually feel pretty good even though I ate those crappy things. My calipers and scale tell me I'm holding a lil water but not gaining any serious bodyfat. They also tell me to kill world leaders with ice-picks, but I hope they're just kidding...

BTW, what is the motivation behind your not using the 'mother of all' chest exercises?

I was sick of using those little text stars. Plus, I like indulging.

The reason for no bench press: I am going for strict hypertrophy, I have a small chest, and I know I'm a straight-up tricep bencher. With those three things in mind I had a feeling my chest wouldn't catch up to my arms.

Dips looking pretty strong there guy. +70x8 is a huge jump from +35 before. Now seeing you strength go up as such, can't you take alittle body fat??

Nice Strength...

I was hovering around +65x8 for the last few weeks, then my weight jumped up about a dime and I also added 5 pounds on there. So, in essence, I jumped about +15lbs this week, which means I wasn't doing enough weight before. ;) Too bad my back workout didn't jump as much.

To clarify, if my fat gain gets too noticable, then I can start worrying. Otherwise, I'll be keeping the diet as clean as possible and pressing forward.

normally I'd suggest going to a cable machine and doing an insane strip set of pushdowns for your triceps but I guess that's not an option for you...

you could add in some skullcrushers/french press for tris which would be good, or maybe some narrow grip benching

I have the Vulcan Racks and Dip Attachments from http://www.ironind.com - They're a bit pricey, but they'll last forever. I can also do neutral grip chins if I set the dip attachments up all the way.

Cal:
They were useless because my triceps were fried and I was beat. I can't be friggen lifting at 10:00pm anymore...damn my busy schedule. It was laziness on my part partially though...I'd have to set up my racks to do the close grip bench and if I did french press I'd need to reload my dumbells. It was more than I cared to do at almost 11:00 when I get up at 6:30. I am gonna do an arm/shoulder workout this weekend (in the afternoon preferably) which should take care of it.

Back dizzie. I had to go to the chiropractor tonight, which is a nice 45 minute drive. It's cool though because he treats me for free and we talk about weightlifting the whole time. Got home, did the back, and going to bed about 10:00. So tired...so so tired.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Traininghttp://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/star3.gif
This workout wasn't nearly long enough, but I am very limited as to what back exercises I can perform. I needs more equipment.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gifneutral grip weighted chinups: bwx6, +20x8, +20x6, +20x7
These drain me. This week my weight went up about 10lbs, since I've gained a lot of water. I weighed myself out with the weight on me and it was 190lbs.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif one arm dumbell row: 75x8:8, 75x8:8
These weren't simple, but they still didn't feel like they crushed my back this week.

75lbs is the max my dumbells can handle, so I need to get those ****in' olympic plates so I can start using my thick handled dumbells.

As some of you know I had a flat tire on Monday, which was probably the 20th thing that happened to my new car this year. I ended up calling roadside assistance because I didn't feel like crawling around on my hands and knees in the cold rain. I get a phone call saying the guy would be out there in ten minutes, so I went out a bit early. As I'm walking to my car I see the towtruck guy driving around the parking lot, the building, and then down the road. I don't know how tough it is to spot the ONLY BLACK JETTA in the lot, damned near sitting on it's front end which I must mention was parked at the VERY FRONT of the lot as so anyone could see it. The dirtbag gets out of his car and examines the tire. He makes a proclaimation so powerful that the words could have come from God's mouth Himself...

"Yup, it's flat."

NO ****ING **** IT'S FLAT. The rim was on the ground. I pull myself together before I begin to hurl any insults...I don't want a scene. The dialog went something like this from there.

Dirty Retard: Do you have a jack?
Me: I have one in the trunk, but it's a little unstable and I don't trust it on this incline.
Dirty Retard: Well it's better than the one I have...cause I ain't got none. Heh heh.
Me: <pained grin>

Ok, who comes to change a tire without a ****ing jack? What if I was on a deserted road in the middle of nowhere without a jack?

Me: <hands him the jack> Here ya go.
Dirty Retard: What's that?

WHAT'S THAT? WHAT'S THAT????

You've got to be ****ing kidding me. He does this for a living and he doesn't ****ing know what a compact scissor jack is? I can't ****ing believe this.

Dirty Retard: These new foreign cars have all kindsa' weird stuff.
Me: Here, you put the bevel on the frame where it's marked. Not on the side skirt, k?
Dirty Retard: I know I know. <reaches for tire iron>
Me: <cowers in fear>
Dirty Retard: <tries his tire iron> None of these fit.
Me: I have one in the trunk. <goes to trunk gets out tire iron and a tire iron I use as an extension for torque>
Dirty Retard: Why the hell did they give you two tire irons? <confused look>
Me: One I stick in the end so I can get more leverage.
Dirty Retard: Yeah I know I know, but why did they give you two? Why not just make this'n longer?
Me: I got this'n from Wal*Mart. <holds in anger>
Dirty Retard: Do you have a spare? <leans on the spare tire>
Me: Heh, yeah, it's kind of under you.
Dirty Retard: Oh, heh...
Dirty Retard: Well, do you have yer key. <expects me to hand him car keys>
Me: <Hands the retard the lug key>
Dirty Retard: <changes tire>

So after the deal is done he makes me sign this paper and tries to make small-talk. Then he tells me that the service is payed for by VWoA. I said "Yeah." Then he talks some more and says again that it's free as he stares at me. I say, "Cool." Then he gets the hint that he's not getting a tip for his 5 minutes of effort in which I ended up doing more than my share of work. I carried the tire out of the trunk, I prepped the car, I provided the equipment. He provided the intelligence of a pre-teen and some work clothes. The dude sits in his truck for a full 5 minutes while I stay in my car. He pretends he is filling out stuff and I glance at him from time to time and he returns the action. He is waiting for me to leave or go in the building...I wonder why. So he pulls up to the exit (just out of sight) and I stay. He sits at the exit for another 10 minutes! 10! I finally pull my car to a new stall and when he sees me move, he takes off. I don't know what he was planning, but I'm glad his attention span isn't long enough to follow through. I'm getting a new car soon, so at least he won't recognize it if he decides to come back later.

I guessing that there is no need to phone for assistance anymore. Make sure you make mention of this to VW. They need to switch companies. I can't believe any tow truck company would work this way.

People make it through because we're a weak society. We convey the message that it's OK to go through life without knowing jack-****, as long as you have a "valuable" skill.

I hate new-school moshing. These people are complete assholes. Did I ask to get hit in the head with your faux-karate moves? When I purchased a ticket from the record store did I agree to get slammed into by overweight kids with fragile egos? No. So last night, I did what any pissed-off guy would do. I grabbed one of the ****ers by the throat and punched him in the head. End moshing. No one likes to see an agry guy scream he is going to "kick every single one of your straight-edge vegan pussy asses." The bad part was that the pit that was formed was on the side of the stage where all of the girls were. My friends who all weigh about 135-150lbs were standing around getting mashed everytime one of those tubby mother****ers waddled through. As the band ended their set an argument broke loose with the kid who got hit and about 5 other dudes about moshing and being stupid. It was quite interesting. The moshing kids were pissed cause one of em got beat down and the 5 other guys were pissed because the morons throwing spin kicks hit one of them. My girlfriend proclaimed that she would never go to another show with me again. Ladies and gentlemen...one stone, two birds. G'night.

What ever happened to the big guys in mosh pits? Any more its just like you said, fat kids waddling around, though the karate guy is new one.

I used to see some heavy mosh pits with guys getting pulled out and put on stretchers. Now you just see little kids humping each other. I'm hoping I'll see different this weekend. I'm going to a couple of shows and maybe it'll be different.

How you can sit up with a 125 lb db on your chest is beyond me. That is just crazy.

You're the 3rd person I've heard of having problems with their Jetta. My friend had to go down to the VW dealership and rip the service folks a new one because they insisted that his wife was doing something to the car to mess it up...it was 4 weeks old. I am friends with the dealer and the business manager is my girlfriend's cousin, so today I called and they are buying me out of my contract and into a new car. Quick update: Tonight's workout was bad news.

I did one set of flyes with 25lbs and my right shoulder began to click, so I said the hell with it, I'll make it up on dips. I did...

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif weighted dips: BWx8, +35x8, +75x8, +80x6*pop*
See where it says pop? That's my occipital nerve getting pinched. I did it once before about 4 years ago...tonight I apparently shoved my head back into my newly enlarged traps a little too hard and I pinched it slightly. I definitely would have gotten 8 reps out of the +80. Now I get to take at least four days off to recover or it'll come back worse.

Manuals are better on hills. Pop that little ****er into first gear and you can go ANYWHERE. I ate up San Francico. California street? Suck a dick, I got my manual tranny.

*slaps California street in the ass

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Introduction
It's been a while since an update, I know. I've been out of the apartment and not at work for what seems like an eternity. I went down to The Baltimore/D.C. area to spend Thanksgiving with my girlfriend's family. I bought my new car, stalled it 100 times, and went to Ikea to buy stuff for my apartment. I hope I didnt do too much damage with the week off, but it needed to be done.

I ate as best I could for the time I was away...Loads of protein bars and turkey, but not enough to keep my weight going up.

The silver sets indicate warmups.
The blue sets indicate personal records.
The red sets indicate a failed attempt.

The last set was a little forced.

Nice sets. I was a little afraid of my neck nerve. Kept it easy.

Overall I was tired as hell when I got home. Not a good thing. My head hurt a little and I was paranoid so I'm going to lift again on Wednesday.

Mondo-sleepage, buhhhhhhh-dee! Pauly Shore marathon this weekend...kill me. Anyhow, I slept a minimum of 8 and maximum of 12 hours over the last 5 days or so.

I'll talk about it a bit later in a little more detail, but let's just say that the area I was in was a little "exclusive."

er, did I forget to tell you about stopping on a hill? You'll be flying along in no time and you will never want to go back to an auto.

Got the sleeping idea down, now you need to eat. After all, your bulking. :)

Here is a picture of me after three weeks of bulking, during one of my cleaner meals. Behind me is my girlfriend, cowering in fear. Excuse the gummy-bears in my hair...I'm a tantric eater.
