It's been a bad ****ing day.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Mastication and Deglutitionhttp://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/star5.gif
Ate quite well.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Traininghttp://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/star2.gif
The silver sets indicate warmups.
The blue sets indicate personal records.
The red sets indicate a failed attempt.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gifdumbbell flyes: 25x8, 45x8, 55x8, 55x8
Not too bad. The last set of 55 was pretty smooth.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gifweighted dips: +35x8, +60x5, +70x5, +80x8
The last rep of the last set a sharp pain ran up my neck...I AM DESTINED TO BE SMALL FOREVER.
WHY THE HELL DO THINGS LIKE THIS ALWAYS ****ING HAPPEN TO ME? THIS SUCKS
Talk about anger? I am officially ANGRY. My bulk is going to be ****ED if EVERY OTHER ****ING WORKOUT includes
me POPPING A ****ING BLOOD VESSESL or some **** in my DAMNED HEAD.

Six hours...suck.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Palaver
The only positive I can say about today is that at least I got out more volume than my last pathetic chest workout. I need to do back but now I'm afraid of chinups too. No more dips for me for a while. I am not even in the ****ing mood to write about my holiday so here's the long and short of it:
1. I hate families.
2. I really hate other people's families
3. I hate rich people who have elevators in their house.
4. I hate roadtrips with my girlfriend's parents.
5. I really hate my girlfriend's ****ing uncle.
6. I hate 4-cylindar 95hp cars with 140k miles on them.
7. I hate the inbred.
8. I really REALLY ****ING hate walking around a cart path on a 40k a year private golf course in the mother****ing freezing cold with no ****ing gloves and what, in hindsight, was the wrong jacket for the day.

...and finally
9. I hate thanksgiving.

THE END

LOL! You don't hate Thanksgiving, Galileo! You were in the wrong place, that's all!

Next year see if they're serving turkey at Club Erotica and make a reservation there. You'll love Thanksgiving again!

I missed work yesterday because of snow. There was no way I was going to wreck my new car trying to drive 45 minutes down to work in the ice. Not gonna happen. It gave me a chance to lay around a bit and catch up on some rest. That's something I definitely need.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Mastication and Deglutitionhttp://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/star3.gif
I need to increase my calories a little bit more this week. I'm not growing as much as I'd like.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gifone arm dumbbell rows: 55x8:8, 85x8:8
I had to set down a few times to regrip because of these ****ing thick-ass handles. Gonna have to get a single thin-handled oly for these I think.
          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gifpullovers: 35x8, 45x8, 55x8
          These were easy this week.

My blood pressure is up...nothing else for me.

So far, so good! The interior is quite similar to the Jetta except a few minor exceptions. I'm quite pleased with the overall design on the GTI and it runs very smooth. I've had no troubles with cold-starts so it seems as though that's a problem I won't have to deal with. The passatts are nice, but for the money I'd probably get the A4. Pretty much the same car and not much difference in price. I almost picked up a used A4 last year, but they were a little big for my taste at the time.

Looking forward to a long life problem-free with this one!

I had my window regulators break, my air condition break, my cold start sensor break twice, my shifter broke away from the transmission, it stalled constantly, and I think my check engine light was speaking in Morse code to me.

Rookie I stopped chinups one set short because I was afraid. I'm going to pick up some magnesium and super-dose it for a while, I've heard that helps. We'll see.

Why did you buy another VW?

Seems to me that when an American car breaks down like that people never buy another American car again, but when ther foreign car does the same ****, they consider it a fluke and buy another of the same brand, same year.

I've had 5 American cars before this and the only thing I've taken from that experience is that Chevrolets have horrible interiors and Fords have horrible engines.

I bought another VW for a few reasons, the primary one being that I was able to get out of my current vehicle and into a new one without losing my shirt (entirely). Had I opted to just get bought out of this car I'd be left with no car, dealing with another unfamiliar shop, and probably paying more for less. As a side note, it's not the same car and it's not the same year. I've kept up on technical bulletins and most of the problems I've had are common and the new model year has these issues fixed. I'm confident that my new car won't give me the same problems as the old one. Since I know the business manager at the dealer (my girlfriend's cousin), I also get the benefit of the lowest finance rate possible and pretty sizable discounts. Finally, I love the VW style. German automobiles were always my favorites, so why settle for a car you don't like when you don't have to?

John says a lot with his statement. Some people like American, some people like Japanese (ick), and some like German. It's all a matter of personal preference.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Introduction
The past few days haven't been anything to shout about. I'm beat, busy, and not motivated.
I think I need to kick the stress factor down a notch. I weighed myself this morning and I'm
doing quite well. I've added a decent amount of size onto my upper body, but my legs don't seem to
want to respond. I would give anything to do squats again. I don't even have access to a leg
press, else I'd settle for it.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Mastication and Deglutitionhttp://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/star4.gif
I missed the grocery store so I missed the food. I apologize for not being more detailed
about my food intake, but it varies from 2600-4000 calories and it's tough to keep track. I'm not
gaining too much bodyfat, which I'm quite happy about. I've been using some arimidex and
real ALA which I believe is helping me out. The fat I did gain didn't go to my chest, which
is amazing. There is something to be said about my estrogen levels after that.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Traininghttp://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/star4.gif
Tonight will be my supa' dupa' leg workout, I swear!

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.giftrapBar deadSquats: 140x8, 170x6, 210x8, 210x8
This was great! Felt smooth and easy!

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gifdumbbell lunges: 65x8:8
I couldn't really do these because I couldn't hold the 65lb dumbbells for the full 16 reps. I'll be getting straps...

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gifleg extensions: 110x8, 125x8, 135x6, 145x6, 155x6, Drop Sets: 165x12! 155x8 145x4 135x3 125x3 90x5
Intense. I stepped it up a huge notch today and I am thinking I will reap the benefits come next week.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gifleg curls: 45x8, 55x8, 65x8, 75x8, 75x8
Nice weight, didn't strain my lower back

A related thought: I ordered a plate tree and a standard handlded olympic dumbell so I can do rows and pullovers and other single-handed feats with a bit less struggle. I really feel it's pointless to do rows with the thick-handled bar if I can't hold the ****er for 8 reps. If all else fails I'll pick up some straps, which is against my religion, but I know that God forgives.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Torpidity and Lethargyhttp://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/star4.gif
I got to sleep about midnight last night and got up close to 6.5 hours. Today I am like a
walking zombie. It is unbearable.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Stat Whore©http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/star.gif
I am a ****ing mess. My stats don't match up with my weight as I hoped they would.

Weight: 173lbs
Neck: 16"
Shoulders: 49"
Chest (relaxed): 40"
Waist: 33"
Upper Thigh: 24"
Calf: 15"
Forearms: 12"
UpperArms (flexed cold): 14.7"

I need to add about 2" onto my thigh, 2" on my shoulders, 1" on my calves, arms, and forearms, and a solid 2-3" on my chest! Those are my goals for now. Make fun of me for being disproporionate and then ask me how I weigh that much with such small measurements. I am a small-framed guy. There's half of it.

Whaddya mean 'real ALA'? Do you not think 1fast400's stuff is any good? I've been using it and don't feel it to be any worse or better than any other brand I've tried.

B&I:
The first batch of ALA I got from 1fas400 was different than the current batch. I used it up and ordered more, assuming the effects weren't too pronounced. This time, the smell is totally different, the color is daker yellow, my urine smells after I use it, my stomach gets a lil burny if I dont eat within 30 minutes and my veins won't go away.

In my opinion this batch was far more potent and I hope he continues to use the current distributer.

FOOD! Wonderful FOOD! I'm going to post my food for today, since I've been holding back on you guys.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif 16oz milk, 1 banana, 3 scoops chocolate whey, 1 stomach ache
http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif 2oz oatmeal, 2oz milk, 2 cans of tuna, 1 slice of pumpkin pie

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif 12oz turkey, 2 slices of whole wheat toast
http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif 8oz chicken, 1 bagel, natural peanut butter
http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif 0.5oz flax seed oil, 1 blueBunny yogurt, 8oz milk, 1 scoop whey

Not too exciting, eh? I am shooting for a ton of protein and carbs. It's working.

I fell asleep around 6:00 when I got home and woke up about 8:30 then was hungry as hell so I went to Wendy's. I came home, ate, and decided it was a good idea to train anyway. So I started my workout about 10:00. I pushed myself very hard throughout the beginning and I was extra-tired, so I didn't last very long, but here is what went down!

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif incline dumbbell flyes: 25x8, 60x8, 60x8
Excellent! Very easy too! I am definitely ready to bump this up for next week. My form is a little odd on this, because of my shoulder.
I have to move my elbows closer to my side on the negative so my shoulder doesn't pop each rep. Still works.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif incline dumbbell press: 65x8, 70x8, 70x8
Excellent! I'm not part of the elite yet, but 70x8 for incline presses isn't too shabby for me.

Overall, great progress, but short workout. I tried to do flat dumbbell presses, but my chest was shot. My triceps weren't though, so I will be good to go for a shoulder/arm workout this weekend. I need the extra volume right now.

Nice to see focused effort that really thrashes the chest. Amazing to see how your flies weights are so close to your presses. I'm always thinking that I'll drop the weight to far below chest level and it will just keep on going and going and going until rip no more chest muscle. Hopefully I would remember to let go of the dumbells before that happened.

Get some good workouts in this weekend, Galileo.

These were much better! My bodyweight is up by 5lbs and I really added some weight to these. The total right now is 207x8. Previous best was 185x6 I believe.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif one arm dumbbell rows: 85x8:8, 95x8:8, 100x8:8!!!

Now that you've thesaurus-ized your journal, 'Introduction' is kinda lame.

If you want to go with the alliterative-motif, maybe you could do:

Or not.

I went to bed about 11:00 and fell asleep after tossing and turing a bit. A few hours later my cat jumps on my bed and looks like she is gonna ****, so I grab her and run her to the litter box to find that the litter had NOT been cleaned, as my girlfriend said it would be. So at 2:00AM I am scooping out the litter and feeding the cats while my girlfriend sleeps. As any good boyfriend would do, I made as much noise as possible while cleaning the litter. I made sure to swear very loudly for every scoop I had to make. Her and I had a big discussion about cleaning the litter all day long and she kept saying she would do it, but somehow it didn't happen. I got up about 6:37 and I was less than refreshed.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/box.jpg Palaver
News. Good, bad? Somewhat good I guess.

I drank some coffee and after 30 minutes I went to the nurse and asked her to take my blood pressure. Coffee generally makes the blood pressure jump up quite a bit, so I was concerned about where my levels would be at this point. She said I was 124/74 which isn't high at all. Actually, the difference in numbers is a bit lower than normal (40). The last time I got checked (coffee-free) I was at 90/50. A woman from the health center walks around once a year and takes blood pressure readings. After taking mine she gasped and was like "Holy crap!" I was like, "Is that good?" She was like, "Uh, that is about as good as possible." I guess I sat right on the threshold of "super-athlete" and "corpse." I responded with, "Obviously. I am superior in every way to your ass, who would have thought that blood pressure would be any different?" She coveted my uberness and moved on before I stepped. She don't want none of this <snaps fingers> mmm-hmmm.

Anyhow, I now realize that the neck thing was probably from neck strain, not blood pressure, as I originally suspected. When I did heavy leg work I had no problems, and leg work is the most common cause of blood-pressure related headaches. My headaches this weekend were definitely from my sinuses, but nonetheless, it kept me from working out. Last night's workout proved it all to me. I did plenty of work, strained plenty, and had no problems. I think my sinuses were fixed from the meds, which led to a lot less pressure, which allowed for an excellent workout.

Mik

I've been very happy with my last few workouts. I feel like I'm getting an extra edge that I didn't have for a while. My lifts are shooting up and PR's are becoming frequent again. My bulk is going to continue until January 20th, so I have a little over a month of bulking to go. I guess this is a good time to think up some short-term goals, so I'd like to hit 200x8 on leg extensions, 300x1 deadlifts, 80x8 incline press, 120x8 db rows, +35x8 on chins, and since I'm going to start bench pressing again this week, possibly 210x8. I'm not sure about the last one though. I know my strength increased a good deal, but who knows? My goal is really closer to 225x8, but that isn't as short term. I'd like to continue to increase my strength as I go in everything else, but it's nice to have something to shoot for.

At work we have contracted a group of consultants to help us launch a new data warehousing system so we can produce useful statistics from company information. This is a fairly large project and its failure would mean the end of a few careers.

I'm not going to beat around the bush. I ****ing hate these consultants. We pay them ridiculous amounts of money (upwards of $100/hour) to come in, eat our food, argue in front of our offices, talk on the cell phone all day, act rudely towards us, and ask stupid questions. I didn't even bother learning most of their names, so I'll just refer to them by their key characteristics.

Dossiers

Name: Suspender Stan
Age: Early 40's
Why he is a ****: He is known widely for wearing the same pair of suspenders every single day. He is also known for his extremely loud breathing at all times. Caution, he leans as far back as possible when he walks and if you are walking directly behind him you may be at risk of having a fat man fall on you. I see him walk up and down the hall possibly 50 times a day. He is always "looking for someone" and never actually doing any work. When he asks a question he pauses between every third word in order to catch his breath. The best part of this guy is his affinity for food. He will leave a meeting to get food from the table. He left a one hour meeting 6 times last Monday to get more to eat! Teh winner is him.
Social Skill: Average. If you talk to him in the hall, he'll respond with at least a head nod.

Name: The Assman
Age: Mid 30's
Why he is a ****: This guy is a total ****. He is the most pear-shaped mother****er I have ever seen. He wears the tightest pants possible so you can see just how huge his ass is, yet his upper body is of an average size. He looks like a friggen water bong. His hair is super long and greasy and his opinions are worth more to him than money. If he doesn't get to speak his mind he pouts like a girl.
Social Skill: Poor. Whatever you do, don't talk to this guy. First, he spits when he talks. That's so disgusting I can't even begin to describe it. Second, you ask a question such as "How are you?" and you will get a 20 minute discourse on how the African stank lizard only drinks from streams because his glands require the phytonutrients that only they can provide. The other day I passed him and said a simple "hello." Nothing more. What was his reply? "Did you read the latest issue of Popular Science magazine?" WHAT THE ****?!? Where do these people come from?

Name: YELLOW DRAGON
Age: It's hard to tell with Asians, he could be 20 or 60.
Why he is a ****: He keeps to himself a lot, which is good. I've never had a conversation with him that's lasted more than 3 seconds, which is even better. But THREE TIMES now I've been in the bathroom and he has come in, washed his hands, then proceeded to make the most disgusting hocking and spitting noises I have heard in my entire ****ing life. These are times I wish I had a poor imagination because when whatever he was cooking in there gets spat into a wad of paper towels, I immediately picture a massive ball of phlegm, blood, and bile that is the only thing that could be justified by the amount of hacking that this guy does. One of the times I heard him follow me in and I couldn't even start pissing until he left.
Social Skill: Low, but polite.

Name: Martin-X
Age: Early 30's
Why he is a ****: This guy always seems to think Whitey is holding him back. If he has a bad idea and he brings it up, the reason it was bad was because we're all white and he's black. He doesn't even know why he's here, because "a brotha can't even put in his two cents without someone trying to tear him down." Listen up douchebag, we don't hate you because you're black, we hate you because you're a BIG ****ING IDIOT.
Social Skill: Nil. When you see him in the hall he scoffs, because he knows you're just thinking up a plan to piss him off.

Name: The Tall Guy
Age: Mid 30's
Why he is a ****: He creeps me the **** out. He is damned near 7' tall and has an apparent glandular disorder. One time I followed him into the bathroom at work. Now, we have one stall and one urinal, separated by a six and a half foot wall. I walked in the stall to piss, since he was occupying the urinal, and as I unzip my fly, this creepy son of a bitch looks over the wall at me. WHAT THE HELL? The gun-shyness kicked in immediately and I just stood there for 2 minutes until he left. Who the hell does that? Has he no etiquette?
Social Skill: I don't even care. If he was the nicest guy that ever lived I wouldn't ****ing talk to his ass after he ogled at me in the bathroom. Sick son of a bitch.

Name: The Thompson Twins
Age: Mid 30's
Why they are ****s: These two are working hard with their visas so they can stay in this wonderful country. They walk around speaking Hindi to each other all day and no one else can understand what they are saying, except for our local Indian teammate, Lakshmi. The female twin smells like she hasn't showered since the dawn of time. I'd rather follow Suspender Stan down the hall than be forced to inhale her stank for longer than a second. The male twin likes to go into the conference room and scream at someone on the phone in Hindi. I do a less than flattering impersonation, which I am sure would offend many (sorry Tina), but somehow we need to relieve the stresses of the day.
Social Skill: Nil. When you walk by either of them in the hall their eyes hit the floor. No chance of interaction. Sweet!

Name: The All-Knowing Biotch
Age: 50's
Why she is a ****: She liked to stand outside of my cubical and complain to her boss about how no one respects her and that her blah blah years of experience means blah blah blah and she is way better than blah blah blah. She was off the job in 3 days.
Social Skill: I'm sure once you got to know her she was great! ...yeah.

Name: 1993 Haircut Man
Age: Late 30's
Why he is a ****: He is a total dick. He just got here this week and he refuses to make eye contact and anytime he does he gives an evil glare. One of the locals working on his part of the project turned around to talk to me for a minute and he flipped out. The old director of the department said hello to him last week and the guy ignored him totally. Logically, the director said to him, "Excuse me, why are you guys such ****ing dickheads?" <gasp> I love that guy. Plus, this dude is sporting the high-part in the center hairstyle that I rocked in 8th grade. Kick-ass dude...
Social Skill: Pssh. He'll be lucky if he doesn't get his ass beat by the end of the project.

That's all for now, but there are plenty more coming in and out every week. I'll be sure to fill you in when the next dickhead arrives.

You never know man, I may have!

This morning I weighed in at an even 180lbs. I compiled my pinches last night from my handy calipers and my chest read 7mm, abs read 18mm, and thigh (which is impossible to pinch with tight skin) read 15mm. According to ExRx.net, that's 11.4%, but I look slightly higher.

The problem is, I look small. In clothes I can notice the difference, but when I look in the mirror without a shirt on, I really think I look the same. One large problem for me is going to be my forearms. Since those photos, they have only grown 0.5". My upper arm shot up about 2.5"+. Oh well, I'm not complaining. I grew a lot over this bulk. I need to up my calories in a severe way though, since I haven't really put on any weight this week. It's becoming very difficult to eat enough.

Glad to know you have a photogenic cat as well ;)

Thanks G˛!

I have been eating like a crazed fool and keeping the fat/carb intake minimal. Too many carbs bloat me and make me fat damned quick. Too bad I am eating ice cream as I type this. Oh well...cheat day ;)

Mini Update

Chest Day - quick stuff cause I have **** to do.

Bench - 135x8, 175x6, 195x6, 205x8!!
First benching I've done since I began my bulk. If 6 felt fine, I just upped it a little. Some PRs came out! I could've jumped up to 210-215 for 8 easy, but I chose to move on.

According to http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/OneRepMax.html my max is 255x1 and 225x5!

incline db presses: 85x4 (whoops, wrong plates), 75x8, 75x8
I was so ****ing tired today. Ugh, flyes are going to suck.

inc db flyes: 65x8
Last rep was a struggle. Oh man...my arms are dead.

Good workout, even though I didnt get enough sleep last night, didnt eat much at ALL today, and am tired as ****. I coulda done more had things been in line. Ill do a full update tomorrow!

Well that screwed me up.

Liked the pics. You're right, the 2nd one is REALLY, REALLY, REALLY gay. It's no longer a mystery to me why you were lifting in pink bunny slippers (or whatever the f*ck they were) I am a bit confused how you managed to have a girlfriend, though.

j/k

Actually, I'm just pissed cuz you can bench a good 30-40lbs more than me. Bah!

BTW, think you could look a little more depressed in the first picture? Jesus.

I am pissed off because some dickheads showed up at my girlfriend's party and I was a lil toasty and was going to beat some ass. They left promptly. Mini-Update

The holidays suck for dedication. Too many cookies, too little real-food. And definitely not enough lifting weights. My weight is staying pretty steady around the 180 area and my bulk is scheduled to end in a month.

I am going to do legs tonight and back tomorrow and chest on saturday and hope things go OK. I should definitely be working out a lot more, but this family crap is killing me.

I'll update my workout later.

My back is a bit sore, and I think it's from the compression. The only thing I can reason is that the deadlifts from last week did it. I will be heading back to the chiro this week.

Music : Thursday - Full Collapse
Synopsis : This session sucked. I was tired and my strength levels were low. During the first workset on chinups I pulled something in the side of my neck which aggrevated me throughout the rest of the workout. I worked out shortly after I awoke, so I didn't have any fuel to burn, leaving me with suck-ass energy again. I am less than pleased. I need to focus on getting proper nutrition before my next workout.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif weighted chinups: bwx6, (180+33)x8, (180+33)x7.5
The last set was rough. Didn't quite make the final rep. Next week I may increase by 2.5lbs, just to keep progress rolling.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif one arm dumbbell rows: 105x7:7, 105x7:7
Energy levels are low...must...have...oatmeal. Not the best worksets I've done. My hands got slightly torn up, which tells me it is time to get some straps.

http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif pullovers: skipped - I have no spotter, and I don't trust the collars on my dumbbells.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif two-inch thick barbell curls: 80x8, 100x4
Well, that worked. Thick-bar makes curls about 30x harder.

Not a good one. I'm slightly pissed. Good day.

Bench: 135x8, 185x6, 210x7, 210x5
Having a slightly off day again, but my nutrition was slightly better. Had I a spotter, I could've hit the 8th rep on the first set, but I didn't want to risk it.

Inc Db Press with THICK handled dumbbells: 80x7, 80x6
The first time I grabbed these I couldnt get them up once, then I got myself a frozen juice bar and tried again...Did much better! I had good strength throughout the beginning of the set, but mid-way through it bottomed out.

I'm done for today, unfortunately. Got to be prepared for New Year's Eve.

My strength levels sucked today and I could tell it was an energy thing. I am sleeping too late and eating too little to sustain this level of training. Thursday work starts again and I get to have a regular diet again. You have no idea how much it affects you until you start screwing around.

Over the holiday my sleep pattern was ridiculous. I'd go to bed about 3:00am and wake up about 3:00pm almost everyday. It didn't help me very much to be honest. The lack in nutrition made a big difference for me. Last night I went to bed about 11:30 and the ****ing neighbors were playing rap music, I pounded on the wall a few times then got my clothing on and went over and started yelling. All was good. My girlfriend and I both had trouble adjusting to the new sleeping schedule, so we tossed and turned, waking each other up throughout the night. The alarm rang at 6:30 and I made breakfast.

At least around here you can buy pre-spiced chicken breasts for only a bit more than regular ones. My local grocery store has: BBQ, cajun(my favorite), Korean, and a number of others. Plain chicken breast makes me wanna gag, but these I like.

What I usually do is get some garlic powder and some sort of chicken seasoning - cajun or something. Then just heavily spice all the chicken before cooking it...its a lot easier then marinating and it tastes better then plain chicken.

Nuked Chicken? :( Chicken breasts (boneless/skinless) take just 20 mins in the oven at 400 degrees. Cook up a whole tray for a few days worth. Just watch you don't overcook the little suckers or else they'll dry out like cardboard.

There is a Montreal Steak spice for Chicken that's pretty good, except it might be a bit high on the salt.

another suggestion for chicken...marinate in bbq sauce w/ sweet-n-sour beverage mix + tequila + lemon pepper (1/2 cup:1cup:1/2 cup:1/2 cup respectively). The stuff comes out so good It's amazing. Very citrusy. Enjoy.

Oh, yeah, got a slogan for your antihumpy campaign (even though I think a ban on Mr. humpy is extreme)....Humpy Free in '03.

There is a Montreal Steak spice for Chicken that's pretty good, except it might be a bit high on the salt.

get george foreman in there for the chicken, he does good work.

Coming back from the holiday I have gotten many compliments on my size. A friend of a friend (who I don't ever talk to) asked me, "Where is GNC?" the other day, which amused me. This girl named Kim who we call "lil' kim" since she is about 4'11" called me "big galileo" the other day. My friend at work who I haven't seen since before the holiday saw me in a short sleeved shirt today and told me how ridiculously I've changed and said that whatever I am doing is working. He also told me that I should shoot for 200lbs to see if I could do it. No thanks...too much weight too quick. My friend Steve told me that he wants to walk around the mall with me and pick fights, lol. As far as motivation, what more do I need? I did some more measurements the other day and my chest is up to 43" and my arms are about 15.25" (they need more attention) and my waist is resting at about 33" across the belly button.

Now, the sad part. I don't see much of a difference. I think the problem is my chest, which is always my focal point. It looks like junk.

It's tough to tell a difference in yourself as you see yourself everyday. The people who don't see you all the time, making comments, really lets you know how far you've come. Nice work!

Protein bars...I just bought a box of "Detour" bars by Next Nutrition. I heard they taste like Snickers bars. I've eaten one, and they are damned close. I don't have one with me to give you the nutrition info, but by memory: 32 grams protein, 9 grams fat, not sure about carbs. Check 'em out if you like Snickers.

Synopsis : I did this workout because I can't afford to miss it. I planned on taking it very easy, but it turns out I felt a bit stronger than I thought I would. My ears hurt and I was pretty sick, but it was decent.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif lateral raise : 25x8
I kind of just did these to see if my strength had gone up at all. They were ridiculously easy, so I assume it did.
I did 8 and stopped since I didn't warm up or anything. Then I got some cawfee and started my real workout.

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif dips : +3x8, +28x8, +53x8, +78x8
I'm not sure if this is a personal record or not, but I weigh a bit more now than the last time I did dips and I did +83x8,
and these were still easy. Looking back, it is a PR. Go me...

          http://www.paledecay.com/upload/images/arrow.gif incline dumbbell press : 80x8, 80x8
The second set was way easier. I bet I could do far better if I had someone to help me lower the ****a on my chest.

I took this stuff called "Simply Sleep" made by Tylenol. It's the same thing that is in Tylenol PM without the pain killer. I should've went with the ****ing pain killer. That aside, I only took a half dose because I planned on working the next morning and if I take the full dose I am tired all day long.

Budiak : I agree that the Stand was an uber movie. I wish King would start making some [more] decent non-made for TV style movies with huge budgets so we can see some of his more elaborate journeys take life. IT was better as a book, methinks. My best friend lost his job today. It right after Christmas and the company hires "personal assistants" for the two head bosses, buys some douche a $5k laptop, hires another douche to write a newsletter, then fires my friend because they can't afford to pay him. The other IT guy who works at the place is a complete retard. I've seen code this guy has written and it is pathethic. So, who takes it in ass? You guessed it - the 22 year old without a degree. He is so ****ed because it is hard enough to find a job in this field with a degree, let alone without one. He is talented and a good worker, but that doesn't mean anything in society anymore. I just wish there was more I could do.

I had a party that was dubbed the "Back to the Future Party" because, as you could probably guess, the theme was to watch all three Back to the Future movies. I invited my close friends and some guy who was sitting by us kinda asked to come, so I said it was cool. Most people were drinking and the night went on and this guy starts slapping peoples' asses. Guys and girls alike, but more guys than girls. Then, him and my guitar player go out to the car to, um, well...to get high. They came back a while later and the mood seemed a little off. The night is close to an end and he asks if he could crash and we said it was alright. I had a recliner, a futon, and an Aerobed (which my guitarist calls the "Eurobread") for them to choose. Well, the guitarist gets the Eurobread, my asian friend and her ex-boyfriend get the recliner, and my best girl-friend (I'll call her "Shmee") gets the futon. Well dude decides he wants to sleep on the futon with her. Not too cool. Then, he invites some of the guys to come up on the futon with the two of them...again not cool. I find out the next day that when he got out of the car he made a comment something like, "There's three of us and one of her [Shmee] and only one of us is going to **** her." WTF?!?!?! Who the **** does this ****ing homo think he is? First-off I think he is confused about his sexuality and second-off I think he is a total doucheSac for even saying something like that. He was not invited to my New Year's party and he got the clue. Rather than asking me if things were cool, he resorted to telling one of my good friends that he thinks I hate him. YES I ****ING HATE YOU YOU COCK SMOKING SON OF A BITCH. He knows I could crush his puny skull so he chooses the wise path of avoiding all contact with me. At least he is that smart. Here is where it gets tricky. My guitar player is in love (read:infatuated) with Shmee. He absolutely adores her, so you gotta imagine how this ****tard saying **** would piss him the hell off. Now things are all weird in the circle of friends and I get to hear about it from him, Shmee, AND my girlfriend (who happens to be Shmee's best friend). One more twist. The ex-bf of my asian friend ALSO likes Shmee. Shmee likes him as well, but because of my asian friend (a good friend of ours), and another ex-gf of his (who is also in the circle of friends), they can't hookup. Now, my guitar player is all upset because he kissed Shmee the other day and she doesn't want a relationship, but she'll still make out with him because she's been single so long she needs the affection.

Why do I tell you all of this? BECAUSE IT PISSES ME THE **** OFF. NO ONE IN THE CIRCLE NEEDS TO **** ANYONE ELSE IN THE CIRCLE EXCEPT MY GIRLFRIEND AND I. PERIOD. Things get way too complex and I don't want to have to complain to you people about it.

Teh End

galileo's guide on how not to get laid.

1. When you're lying in bed, whisper "Well are you going to ride me or what?"
2. When she tells you what she wants you to do to educe a more romantic mood, just roll over and tell her it's not worth it.
3. When you decide that it might be worth it, rush through foreplay as quick as possible, putting as little effort in it you deem necessary.
4. Whisper sweet nothings like, "Jumping Jesus Christ" when things don't go as smoothly as you had hoped.

Yes, that pretty much sums up my bed time activities last night. So, if you were ever stumped on how to avoid sex, I have provided this brief yet effective method to insure that there is no further concern. Heck, if you're lucky, you may even avoid sexual encounters for a few days based by performing these steps only once! Your milage may vary.

That Palaver I shared with a co-worker. It truly tickled her...she asked me how you even got past the "It's not worth it" part without getting slapped or yelled at. She was wondering how you even got to the effortless foreplay. I laughed so hard....thank you I need that today.

Oh, did your punk a$$ move up to the 85s or did you punk out becuz you don't have a spotter or becuz it takes to much energy to kick'em up to your shoulders? Come on heavy weighter...move them weights.

Glad that I can be of service!

I am going to try the 85's for sure today. Going to get my 105lb girlfriend (if she's speaking to me yet) to help them to my knees, so my energy isn't so wasted. If I can't press out 8, I'll just lower it to 82.5 and go for glory. On a plus note, I got my thinner handled dumbbells this week, so maybe it won't be so bad.

galileo

Not today...make that next time. Today is legs.

01-15-2003, 04:09 PM
Suggestions for incline DB presses if you don't have a spotter/girlfriend/etc. handy:

-to get them onto your knees without having to "row" them up once you're sitting, pick them up from the ground while standing and THEN sit down on the bench. Sounds obvious, but it does make a difference.

- you ARE 'kicking' them up to your chest with your knees once seated, yeah? Lots easier than curling 'em...

Cal

P.S. Buy her a vibrator... then you can skip the foreplay. ;)

rookie : Whatchoo talking 'bout Willis?

Cal : I definite do it in the manner you described. The major effort is trying to jockey the dumbbells onto my knees vertically without having the collars /pwn my legs. Then, hoisting them up takes a decent amount of energy as well. Energy that could be well spent on the set. And no, a vibrator is out of the question. ;)

If I followed Cal's advice on tossing the vibrator over to my wife with the thought of engaging her later after she had "warmed up" then that would likely place me on the street. Now, using said vibrator with wife is something totally different. ;)

I have a new English friend. I ask him horrid stereotypical questions about things like dental hygiene and boiled food and he says things in a kick-ass accent. It's super sweet. I've learned that English Muffins are called muffins in England. Now, Canadian Bacon is ham in Canada and bacon is bacon. In France, if you ask for toast, they don't slap eggs and syrup on the mah****a. You probably get a stupid-ass look because most of the ****ing French can't speak English. I hate the French. Back to my point...*cough* In England, potato chips are crisps and french fries are chips. So, if you were jonesin' for potato chips and you were on your last pound and you went to an English restaraunt and asked for some potato chips, you'd get mah****in french fries. You'd probably tell the dude in your best English accent to shove the ****ing fries up his ****ing ass. I guess that's the hazard of world travel...you never know what the **** you're going to end up eating.

I used to think that all brits said "ZED" when they pronounced the letter Z. I was wrong! He said that it is cockney slang and "ZEE" is the proper pronunciation. You hear that you cockney bastards? YOU HEAR THAT? YEAH I'M TALKING TO YOU.

The French speak English. It just that for a few hundred years, French, along with Latin were the languages of "civilization" There were English Kings that were more fluent in French than English. The French haven't gotten over it and believe that everyone should speak their language perfectly. Egocentric bastards!

dips: +38x8, +63x8, +88x8
w00t!!!! That's a great PR!

incline db press: 83x6, 63x8
My form was crap on the 83's, so I dropped them a little. I won't even count it as a PR. I struggled with the 63's a little too! I think the dips just wore me the **** out.

lying db tri ext: 25x10 (4-1-4)
I did this to burn out my tris a bit. Not heavy weight but believe me with that count, you feel it.

The dips rocked, but I wasn't too thrilled with the inc press. Now that I'm not eating an abundance of food, these lifts aren't coming any easier. I need some protein, so I'm going to run.

The dips rocked, but I wasn't too thrilled with the inc press. Now that I'm not eating an abundance of food, these lifts aren't coming any easier. I need some protein, so I'm going to run.

Awesome on the dips Galileo! Man, I got some catching up to do. I hear ya on the inclines after dips. At least that's what I'm blaming my $hitty performance on.

You feelin' hungry at all through maintenance? What do you plan to cut down to cal wise when you're cutting?

I am not feeling terribly hungry because of my wonderful coffee addiction. However, I know the lack of the tons of oatmeal in my body can't be wonderful for energy. I'm going to lower my calories slowly, probably 100 a week for 2 weeks, then slowly introduce some HIIT cardio to attempt to hit a 500 calorie deficit. I hope to be lean by the end of May.

Good job on the dips man! That's alot of weight for 8 reps. Of course anything you do after dips is going to suffer. Its the same as squating first, just drains you.

Where do you plan on being by the end of May?

Galileo, awesome dips man. You've inspired me to add weight to my dips for this morning's chest session. mmmmmm coffee. ;)

Dipping kills me. It's so intense on the arms chest (and even lats to a degree) that it's hard to stabilize movements such as db presses. I've used a few calculators to determine my 1RM with a dip weight of (180+88)x8 and it is generally around (180+175)x1. I'm not going to test that out anytime soon, but I'm thinking about loading on a little more weight for triples to get used to heavier weights so I can max out someday. I remember not too long ago my max was +100x1 at 155!

If I can cut off 10lbs of fat, I should be able to stay around 170 and be under 10%. I hope...I need to stop worrying about numbers and focus on making myself look as nice as possible at any weight.

Rookie! I hope it was everything you dreamed it would be! ;)

Galileo, unfortunately, they were lack luster for me. I didn't place them upfront in the routine, but still, I was hoping for a really kick ass workout and it just didn't happen. Must be the coffee.
