I didn't do much this weekend. I had a mild leg workout where I did 2 sets of 20 bodyweight ATF squats. My knees popped on every rep, which I didn't care for. They don't hurt as bad today, so I could have been achy from the sickness that I had. I don't know though, so I'm going to play it safe.

I didn't do too bad with food this weekend. I avoided sugar almost entirely and ate decent meals. I hope to drop 1lb this week.

Knees pop when facing out, not straight ahead. No biggie.

I only did them to build up some lactic acid.

And yes, evanescence will be the CD of the year for me.

I decided to do an ab pinch this morning. I registered at 19mm, 19.5mm and 20.5mm so, I'm around 20mm I'd say. Conditions haven't changed much since friday so I'd say the initial fat loss is happening nicely. Well, fat and water loss. I was 24mm on the friday before last.

My knees haven't ached in a few days, so I'm happy.

Tunage : Evanescence - Fallen
Synopsis : Chest day!

I am thinking bench, dips, and tricep extensions. I will try for 190x8 with the bench but I'll have to see where my dips have fallen.

weighted dips: bwx8, +45x8, +90x5
I fell a little short on this one. It's been a while, so no big deal.

bench press : 135x8, 165x8, 190x8
I'm starting to really like bench pressing. It's more instinctive than other exercises. The whole time you're thinking, "GET THIS THING THE **** OFF ME!" It's almost what I'd call...Zen.

tricep dumbbell extensions : 35x8, 35x8
A pleasant end as usual. Struggling after my tris are already dead. Lovin it.

Mik : Carbs teh 3\/1l. I will likely do bench first because it's a new motion and it seems to affect my chest/shoulders better than dips, which really get my tris.

http://www.hollowmedia.com/images/box.jpg Palaver
I've been out of high school now for coming on six years and I've recently thought about some of the people I associated with and what had become of them. It's odd how I can't remember the last names some of the people with which I was quite close. I did some searching on the net and found an alumni site for my high school and emailed a few of the people that I actually cared to speak with and had a few minutes of quality reminiscence.

Last night I went to my parents' house and stopped at the Wal*Mart to get some yogurt on the way home. I was getting in line at the express lane and this enormous woman cut in front of me. I am not a mean guy so I just let it go and moved to the next isle. Something about her made me look back a few times. After a few minutes of contemplation I realized who it was...the girl I dated when I was in junior high! She had to be at least 250lbs and she was wearing tight sweat pants and an huge sweatshirt. I couldn't believe it. When we were in high school she was one of the nicest girls and she always looked very well-kept, but not anymore.

The sad thing is, I asked her out a few years after we stopped talking and she turned me down. I got mad and wished that she was miserable. I best be careful what I wish for from now on.

Most palavers I do are angry, but this one makes me kind of sad. I don't know the circumstances of her life, but whatever happened she is a bitter, obese wreck. I just wish she would have recognized me.

FroMo : I am a witch. **** with me...go ahead. She was pretty cool when we were young, but apparently I wasn't her type. If I could show the difference between me in school and now, you'd likely understand.

Mik : Thanks Mikey. I benched for about 4 weeks in January or so. I worked up to 215x8, then I decided to widen my grip to help my chest instead of my overwhelmingly prominent triceps. Now that I've switched to a normal grip instead of my old grip (which was right where the inner knurl begins) and lost an immediate 40lbs :( Not too fun. Oh well, my chest will be better for it.

I took my caliper pinches again this morning. Interesting how they vary greatly. I clocked in at 12.5%. My ab was consistently 19, my chest was 7, and my thigh was 18. I still weigh 173 so I guess I'm still losing some minor subcutaneous water.

Things I've done this week, by galileo.
1. Increased coffee consumption by insane amounts.
2. Destroyed all cravings for sugar and junk food.
3. Used 1 to accomplish 2.

http://www.hollowmedia.com/images/box.jpg Mastication and Deglutitionhttp://www.hollowmedia.com/images/star5.gif
I don't really crave junk food anymore, which rocks. I'm very into my cut and I hope to get myself quite lean by the end of my 12 weeks. Then, the tricky part. Maintenance. It's hard as hell for me to maintain...else I wouldn't need a cut this bad right now. I'll just have to focus.

My bodyfat numbers are skewed because I carry most of my fat on the love-handle, ass, and tit area. My abs and legs always remain lean. The area between the nipple and armpit where I measure is also quite lean but as you approac the nipple it gets fatty. I'm probably much worse off.

I HATE FEMININE FAT STORAGE. The end.

I didn't update yesterday because when coming back from lunch I fell down the icy stairs and landed on my right forearm. I went to the emergency room and sat for 3 hours waiting for the typical x-rays, etc. It hurts like **** but it's not broken. The doctor said it was "impressive." Nice, eh? It hurts to touch and flex, but the bone is stable, so I should be ok in a few weeks. It's pouring.

Thanks guys.

When I came into work this morning I caught my boss and coworker covering my entire cube with bubble wrap. I work with a bunch of smart-asses.

I'm afraid if I continue to cut without the workouts I'm going to lose some muscle, so I think I might up the calories by 300 and try to maintain. If I gain fat I'll lower by 100 and just go from there. I am going to do leg workouts (light leg extensions) and likely something that doesn't require much forearm flexing (shrugs, calf-raises, etc might work). I don't know. It's amazing to think that most of my current regime relies on my forearms in some way.

Why do I weigh 170lbs this morning? Can I ask that? I shouldn't lose 6lbs in 2 weeks. I did some tape measurements to see if I lost muscle. My arms remain 15", my chest remains 41", and my upper quads shrank a half of an inch to 24.5". I know why my legs shrank, but I must have been holding a ton of food in the gut, since I didn't lose that much bodyfat in this time period. This is a complicated deal...

Mik : Except for the weekends (which can vary) my diet has been quite solid. The only thing I can attribute this to is having less food in my guts this morning since I didn't eat a ton on Sunday. Man, that's weird. You're diet was ace while on maintenance. At least I thought so. What's the plan now......still cutting?

galileo
03-11-2003, 10:35 AM
Still cutting. I held onto those 75lb dumbbells with no forearm problems, so I see no issue with doing rows (a bit lighter) and possibly the chins. We'll see. Bench, I'm concerned with because my forearms generally hurt afterward from balancing the bar. Dips might also cause some pain.

I am posting today's update soon with some of my thoughts.

Today I did some reflection on why things are the way they are with my status. These are just generic statements that will allow me to figure out where to go.

1. I've lost a lot of water and I haven't been using creatine.
2. I'm down roughly 4mm in 2 weeks, which is better than the last time I dieted.
3. Sushi is part white rice, therefore it is part satan.
4. Soy sauce is high in sodium and I've been using it with my sushi and my tuna.
5. I find myself not getting enough calories some days.
6. I haven't been able to workout as much as I'd like due to injury and illness.
7. My post workout shake lacks dextrose now, and I've been substituting with some subpar candies.
8. My scooper doesn't accurately measure a serving. I need to weigh the scoops post-workout, else I don't get enough (by a shocking amount).
9. Cutting back sodium and adding water should help with water weight.
10. I need to continue and not get frustrated. If all else fails, I'll turn to drugs. MUAHAHAH! :D

rookie : At least you're an honest hooligan now.

I think that I am taking everything so hard because I worked very very very hard on my bulk to gain muscle and I ended up screwing myself on maintenance. I got a little lazy I guess and ate a little too much useless food. You live and learn. Now, I see my weight dropping and my fat levels no where near what I'd like them to be. I guess I expected a bit more. When carbs are only 25% of your diet, the water doesn't like to linger in the muscles. I'm feeling a bit better now. I've calmed myself and taken the steps necessary to resolve this. I have my weekdays all planned out, but now I really need to focus on the weekends. I tend to stay up way late and get up even later, which causes problems with my daily calories. Once I get that down, I should be on the road...

Don't sweat it man. With the progress you made you'll be aight. Weekends are the toughest for me too. I never seem to get enough calories. It's not too bad when bulking because I can try and make it up during the week but I can see how cutting would be tougher.

I need some sort of efficient urination device so I don't have to leave my desk every 15 minutes to whiz. Yesterday I drank 1.5 gallons of water and today I hope to repeat the effort. Unfortunately the 15 minute piss-interval is not an exaggeration. I hope my bladder adjusts to the volume so I can spread that out a bit.

Vote : Should I keep the star ratings or are they "self-righteous" and useless?

I feel better this morning. I look better in the mirror. The added water and lowered sodium has caused me to retain a bit less water which helps me mentally (with the mirror). I ate perfectly last night and hit my supplements perfectly. That was truly a five self-righteous star day.

Today is even better. I'm skipping all flavoring on the tuna and hitting it raw-dog.

When I woke up and looked in the mirror, I felt lean so I decided to do an unofficial test with the calipers. I'm neurotic. Anyhow the pinches turned out in this fashion:
ab: 19.5, chest: 6.5, leg: 18.5
weight: 171.5lbs, bf: 12.685987498785422%

Identical to last week, except my ab and chest pinched lower while my leg raised. This was most definitely error in measurement. However, my love handles are beginning to disappear and my lower chest fat is noticably better. I am going to begin monitoring a behind the nipple pinch starting with the "official" stats tomorrow, because that area holds a ton of fat.

I feel better though. I definitely feel leaner the last few days. Making the minor adjustments I have made seemed to have helped a bunch (even if it is just mentally).

On that note, I am removing the stars because "cute" is not what I am going for. I need to find some good pictures of bloody skulls or something.

I was bored so I decided to check to see where I was, target-wise.

Two Weeks Ago:
173 @ 13.8% = 23.874lbs
162 @ 8% = 12.96lbs
23.874 - 12.96 ~= 173 - 162 = ~11lbs

Today:
171 @ 12.7% = 21.717lbs
162 @ 8% = 12.96lbs
21.717 - 12.96 ~= 171 - 162 = ~9lbs

According to my calculations, I'm still on the right track with fat loss. I will, however, still only be 162lbs when I get to 8%. But provided I don't lose any strength, I'll be pushing some big weights for 162lbs. Then, I guess I'll do a slow bulk back to 170 and see where I stand.

Well done galileo. It's great to see your plan is working. It's also a slow reduction so I'm guessing that is what is accounting for the ability to maintain the muscle while you cut. It's amazing how the pinches differ from week to week and it just seems fat moves around. I know it's not the case, but it shows how much variance is in the pinches. Your diet is really pulling through for you esp. with the dedication around eating that much OATMEAL. :)

p.s. :(

lina grrl: Maybe they are intimidatingly cute, like a new girl who moves to your neighborhood and takes all of your boyfriends. I think I need to stop watching Saved By the Bell. Thanks for the 'good work' call. ;)

rookie: I think it has a lot to do with localized water and human error. Mine seem to move around a bit, but I can usually tell based on how much water I've had. Oh yeah, and oatmeal is my savior. Seriously, this diet is going way smoother than the ones where I ate more liberal amounts of dairy and fruit. On the PS, why are you sad? Don't be sad!

fran : Thanks babe! Wait until you see my post-cut pictures with me rocking some hard tasty abs. KEEEYA! <subtly references Tenacious D>

Edit: I was 13.8% during week 2, so I was roughly 14.5% when I started. I input my old bf numbers and they worked out perfectly.

Today was the official stat taking. After 21 full days of dieting I've gone from roughly 14.5% to...
Weight: 170.5 lbs
Abs: 19 mm
Chest: 6 mm
Thigh: 18 mm
BF: 12.240938466766415%
LBM: 149.62919991416325 lbs
Fat: 20.87080008583674 lbs

So overall, it appears I've lost 5lbs of fat and about 1lb of glycogen. My muscles are still the same size as before (by caliper) although now that I'm used to looking at them I feel tiny.

At about eleven-thirty I layed down. My kitten decided to play with her bracelet on my pillow all night long. I was all pissed so I threw the bracelet and the friggen cat thought I wanted to play fetch. So, she ran and got it and brought it back up to me. Bastige. I got at least a few hours without interruption when she decided it was nap time. It's funny, she sleeps with her head on the pillow and her body facing the same way that my girlfriend and I sleep. She thinks she's people.

My original palaver was going to be about how I hated smokers. I got pissed after having butts flicked on my new car about 3 times now. Unfortunately, I just had a long conversation with someone about the meaning of life and it started a huge thought pattern, which I haven't quite completed. You can likely expect a large discourse on my thoughts within a few days. I'm thinking it is about time I did some introspection.

I felt pretty weak yesterday. I wanted to go to sleep about 9:00, but I couldn't because the woman wasn't home yet. I think, aside from more sleep, I might need to increase my calories by a few. Some extra carbs maybe. I don't like feeling weak, especially when muscle loss could be involved. Any advice?

galileo, you might want to try to superset front squats with sissy squats or leg extensions. It sounds like your quads are going to be stronger than much of the rest of your body. Especially if you are having lower back problems. Sissy squats or leg ext supersetted with some lower weight higher reps front squats.

Also, are you doing clean grip front squats or arms crossed?

Looks like I was retaining water again today, or something. I didn't really want to post my stats since something looks like it went wrong. Oh well, here it goes.
Ab: 19mm
Chest: 7.5mm
Leg : 16.5mm
Weight : 169
BF% : 12.25%

Same as last week, except a little lighter.

Maybe the supplement changes caused some water weight. I did notice the last time I cut, that on the days I skipped my ALA totally, I looked the leanest. Based on the mechanism of ALA, I think this is entirely possible. It's odd though, my leg got much leaner since last week, yet my chest went up? My abs stayed the same, but yesterday it was down to 18mm. Inconsistent measurements **** me up. Well, I'm still ahead of the game. I plan on doing a huge refeed tomorrow...

http://www.hollowmedia.com/images/box.jpg Mastication and Deglutition
Tomorrow's refeed will be exciting! I bought healthy choice low-fat mint chocolate chip icecream, fat-free ice cream sammiches, strawberry fig newtons, peach-rings, and 1 gallon of fat-free milk. Let's get that leptin back to a respectable level! I think this will kick-start my fat loss next week. See why I love dieting?

Synopsis : Off night. Oh god is it an off night. Yesterday ****ed my back up but it made me realize a few things. One, I don't sit back far enough on squats. My weight is leaning forward too much. Two, my lower back has become ridiculously weaker than my abs. My abs tend to take over on almost everything and anytime the lower back muscles try to get involved, they get their asses kicked. Next leg day I'm going back to lunges, but I am going to warmup with one set of front squats with low weight (95lbs).

Why the **** are people ignorant pricks? Remember the "tall guy" who likes to peek over bathroom stalls? I've noticed him not saying hello when we've passed in the hall and I chalked it up to embarassment or something. Today I walked by and literally said "How's it going?" to him. We were the only two in the hall and I made eye contact. The mother****er just kept walking. I was very close to saying something extremely rude, but I stopped myself. He'd likely tell his manager that I was rude and we'd have a "meeting" and they'd explain to me how I overreacted to a simple misunderstanding, blah blah. So, his reward for being a douchebag would be to make me look like an ass. Next time I see him in the hall there will be no room for confusion...I will say hello in the loudest way possible and never break eye contact for a second. If he doesn't respond, then I will follow with "dickhead." Then I'll break his ****ing kneecaps with a ****ing baseball bat. In the name of ACKSHMEE, of course.

So, we're at war. War, huh. Yeah. Yesterday everyone was saying how they are going to stop taking things for granted, blah blah blah blah. I think it's ridiculous. Everyone has their own opinion on what the war is about and the bottom line is simple: If we found a way not to use fossil fuels (pssh, like we already don't have one...) then we could mind our own ****ing business and not go to little countries and neb in their business. My brother was in the Army and he went to Kosovo to keep the peace. Guess what the ingrates did? They threw rocks as him. What the ****? That's enough to write the third-world mutants off in my book. He said their eyes would peek out from behind what the desolate landscape would offer for hiding. Now, why the **** would anyone want to go over there to deal with that? If I wanted to see creepy little eyes peeking out at me I'd look at Muslim porn. And you can ****ing quote that you leeches.

Mik : As soon as I hit 25 man.

HY : Leg extensions are what ****ed up my knees. If I wasn't such an evil mother****er it would've been alright, but I went from 100x8 to a set of (200x8, 190x8, 180x8, 170x8, 160x8, 145x8, 135x8, 90x8) in about two months. That kinda made my knees hurt. That being my first official bulk, I guess it can happen.

I've joined the gym at work, and they have a leg press. Not sure how much weight it goes up to, but that is an option. I am also using their hyperextension machine to strengthen my pathetic back. They have a smith machine which might be suitable for front squats (http://exrx.net/WeightExercises/Quadriceps/SMFrontSquat.html), but that's about all they have. Virtually no free weights....I'm only joining to do hyperextensions and cardio, really.

I've never seen a sissy squat before, but it looks like an invitation to fall on your head (http://exrx.net/WeightExercises/Quadriceps/WTSissySquat.html). I think I may try some hack squats (http://exrx.net/WeightExercises/Quadriceps/BBHackSquat.html). No matter what, I need to find a way to put more volume in my leg workouts.

This is how I do mine front squats. (http://exrx.net/WeightExercises/Quadriceps/BBFrontSquat.html) Arms crossed like I was about to do a russian dance or some****.

Maybe my leg workouts will be something like: light front squats (20 reps), lunges, leg press, hacksquat. If it's too much, I'll rotate. Plus, I need to work calves back into there.

WillKuenzel

I don't do it very often but you can do back squats in the smith machine but step your feet quite a bit further out. This way when you descend your knees will be directly over your ankles making a perfect 90degrees along your calves and hams. When doing these in the smith machine you can lean back without involving the glutes and hams because the smith machine stabilizes those for you. You can do a fairly narrow stance and really hit the quads that way.

How do you do lunges because I find those to hit the hardest in my hams and glutes?

HY : I can't do any backsquats, period. Direct weight on the spine (or overhead weight) causes compression, which in turn causes me another month at the chiropractor. Front squats seem to alleviate this for some reason.

When I do lunges I do them to the rear and pretty much turn them into a one-legged squat. They work the hams a bit, but I feel it in my lower quads as well. Or maybe that's just my knees dying.

Mik : Noted.

What about front box squats? Maybe that would force you to sit back farther. Or you could get really wacky and creative and do DB squats or maybe even wear a weighted vest (like some really nice gyms have for dips) to do squats without direct spine pressure.

(I find that the leg press actually annoyed my lower back, but it's a ****ty one at my gym, and Belial said I was going too deep with it anyway. He said to only bring the sled down until the lower back starts to round - I was bringing it down until my knees hit my chest.)

Sometimes I do a variation of sissy squats that are actually harder (for me), and there's no risk of falling. (Which is good for you, Mr. Accident Prone.) I kneel down, keeping hips in a straight line with rest of body, cross my arms on my chest - essentially the same position as for a glute-ham raise off the floor, but instead of going forwards, I go back until my ass touches my heels, not bending at the hips. Then I come back up. You could probably even weight them a little (hold a plate or something) if you wanted to.

Hail Ackshmee.

(edited for spelling. I'm on a computer at school with a ****ty keyboard, but that doesn't excuse spelling errors in an English student. )

Box squats: Imagine taking someone who easily compresses their spine, then jam their spine between a large amount of weight and a box. Somehow I'm not digging this...
DB Squats can't provide enough weight (not like front squats do at the moment...) and I have the wonderful "Ironmind Super Squats Belt" that is ****ing impossible to do squats with. It takes an absolute ridiculous amount of energy just to strap yourself in, so by the time I get to actually lifting the weight, I feel like it's nappy time.

As far as the leg press, we'll see how it works out. I gotta figure something out.

Any variation of sissy squat will be a last resort for me. It just seems ****ed up. ;)

And for the record, I'm not accident prone goddamnit. I just have a bad back (and knees that might be going bad). The back injury was due to squatting and touching my tailbone on the decline bench (whoops) and the knees are my own fault for going insane on leg extensions. DAMNIT.

I think I might have lost my job
I went to walmart to get more frosting cause I decided to make the statue of ackshmee a lifesize one, anyway I was strolling down the isle when I noticed there were people kinda looking at me, so it made me a little uncomfortable so I figured maybe my hair was wacked or something , maybe a booger you never know, so I went to the softlines dept cause the got mirrors for people trying on clothes, so I looked in the mirror and realized I was basicly naked except for a thick layer of frosting covering my personal parts, I suddenly felt light headed, not knowing what to do I just started running through the toy dept then the pharmacy area, no direction in general I was in a full panic, I turned the corner to the main isle and the store manager was walking up the isle with the district manager and the dept manager for loss prevention , I couldnt turn back cause I was allready seen so I just ran right down the isle right by them I screamed ackshmee lives and wacked the store manager with a crowbar I picked up at the tire lube express area and kept running, after I got home I realized I didnt get the frosting and was gonna have to go back, so called the store and told them I was having a sort of diebetic sezure fit type of thing and didnt know what I was doing, and I appollogised for everything and tld them if I damaged anything I would pay for it, they said that I was to report to the store manager first thing tommorrow morning, I said ok and mentioned that I needed the frosting for my statue and they said that I could shop there for it but i would not have my discount and I needed to be wearing cloths

Chasing heathens HIIT style:
1. Wield your crowbar.

3. Run after them as fast as you can for around 15 seconds.
4. Beat them about the head and teeth.
5. Walk for 45 seconds and find another heathen.
6. Repeat step 3.

today I found a note at my back door

If you want the rad statue back deposit 200lbs of walnuts in the trash can in the park near the bleachers at noon on thursday, make sure you are alone we will be watching, do not call the pigs, or the cows for that matter they cannot help you, heres proof we are not fooling around

I looked down and there was a small box so I opened it up and inside was a full sized fudgy frosting ring finger from the statue

the horror!

to bad they didnt know I had allready started a new statue with the spinach

ha ha stupid squirrels

so I ate the finger

I have no clue at all how it could happen. You don't gain weight by eating moderately low calories. It's certainly not as if I am starving myself.

Where all three site higher? I seemed to find that pinches fluctuated over time, however, if the total was going down then that was good. Additionally, somedays you are able to just pinch more it seems and it might be looser that day. An exact science it's not it would seem.

Nice workout there Gal. ;)

I did a preliminary pinch this morning and got a 19(.5) ab, 7 chest, and 16thigh. That's 11.9%->12.10%, so it went down. Maybe because I ate about 1900 calories yesterday AND did cardio...ugh. I missed a few meals. I at least got enough protein.

Today was much better as noted in my previous post. I'm shocked at the difference in a day, but I guess that can be expected with water-retention. I'm keeping a countdown now.

Want to know how to freak people out? Ok then, I'll tell you...
My friends (http://www.hollowmedia.com/images/somefriends.jpg) and I were at dinner the other evening and my friend Blink told his girlfriend that he masturbated while thinking about a stripper. So then the topic got expanded and people were all volunteering information about what they think about when they masturbate, where they masturbate, and other sordid details. I kept quiet, since I've had a girlfriend for the last 4.5 years, it's not been much of an issue in my life. Finally someone asked me what I thought about when I masturbate. I told them, "Jesus." Apparently, from the reaction of everyone at the booth, I'm going straight to hell. The end.

Note: The girl on the far right is not my friend. I don't even know who she is, really. She just invited herself.

http://www.hollowmedia.com/images/box.jpg Mastication and Deglutition
I have 111 days (15 weeks) to lose 7lbs-10lbs of fat. That's anywhere from a 220 calorie/day deficit to a 315 calorie/day deficit. Right now I can't even tell what my maintenance is, but a "standard" would be between 2535-2704, which puts me in the right range. I may have to lower my calories slightly soon due to the 6-7lbs I've lost already. With refeeding, the deficit I can handle is much bigger (and should be since on refeed days I eat about 120% of maintenance (which was 3000 calories). I also measured my chest, leg, and arms today to detect muscle loss. Chest is still rockin around 41, arms 15, and upper leg 24.5. The few 1/8ths difference I attribute to glycogen loss. Overall, it's not going away yet. Starting next week I am going to drop to 2200 calories and the following week 2100. I will stay at 2100 for a while.

Note: I keep missing meals so I'm going to re-combine them.

Body Composition Calculator 0.1b

I decided I was sick of using the windows calculator to figure out if I was on the right track or not, so I wrote a quick application to do it for me.

You guys can do some beta testing for me. As I add more content, I'm sure I'll **** up somewhere, so it'll be nice to have some feedback.

Version 0.1 (beta):
You enter your bodyweight, bodyfat, and your desired statistics in one or both.
Press calculate and it will compute total lbm, fat, lbm gain, fat loss, and final lbm/fat.
The error messages are still in "beta" format. ;)

Right click and save to download the Body Composition Calculator 0.1b (http://www.hollowmedia.com/bodycomp01.zip)

In the next release I will be adding a bodyfat estimating unit using 3 and 7 site caliper testing.

Im gonna have to scrap the idea of a statue,
I got 1/2 way done with it and my dog latched onto the leg of the statue and started going to town, I yelled for him to knock it off but he wasnt listening to me at all, so I grabbed his collar and tried to pull him off but he wouldnt budge, so I grabbed my crowbar and tried to pry him off but he growled and tried to bite me, so at this point I just let him go, he was in love and I dont want to interfere with true love, anyway he started smacking the leg and playin it rough saying "whos your daddy" when he accidently broke the leg off I put the camcorder down and ran to catch the falling statue but was too late, it hit the floor and broke up into lots of peices, so no statue, the only good that has come out of this is my dog ran off with the leg, I dont know where he hides it cause we cant find it, but we have noticed a difference in his behaviour, hes more focused now and alot calmer, so where ever the leg is he can keep it

The last few days have sucked for me, so I've not been particularly motivated to post. I finally got to the chiropractor yesterday to fix up the back, which was wonderful. He told me that my muscles were strained very badly and that I'd likely need an icepack after my treatment. (Note: He uses a no-cracking method with a machine developed by NASA) I took it in one ear and out the other. Big mistake...I woke up to piss at 3:00am and I thought ACKSHMEE had punished me for my journal/murder neglect. It was quite bad. Today I'm rocking the icebag on my lower back and when I walk I look like I was just gang-raped by some white-supremesists.

I feel oddly motivated today, but that does me no good since I can't do ****. Isn't that always the kicker? Anyhow, I'm going to take it easy for the next few weeks and make sure my back is at 100%. I plan on going back to leg extensions, but I'm going to use a very slow technique and not hold the lockout. Better to have slightly sore knees than a fux0red back.

By the way, I'm writing my journal in the brand new java coded text editor (http://www.hollowmedia.com/ss.jpg) that I am writing. I am so uber.

so we moved it and when I first lifted the couch the stench almost knocked me down, it was like a wall of hot stinkiness to the likes of which I had never seen before, before we realized it was the leg, we thought it was the cat cause we havent seen her in a few days, but shes safe, aparently when the dog stuffed the leg under the couch the cat got pinned to the wall, she was so releived when we set her free, the dog how ever is heart broken
so I looked on the net for a place called the hump house, its a place where you can bring your dog and people will offer up their legs to them, kinda like a doogy brothel, anyway we are gonna send him there for a few days untill his spirits are back up there, on a minor note I didnt know that spinach, when rotting produces a fine array of collors and the most softest and fuzziest hair, feels like hamster hair, or it could be the hamster we lost, oh well, at least the leg has been found and the stench from hell is gone

The back is still feeling bad but not as bad as yesterday. I'm taking a half-day at work today so I can go to my girlfriend's art show and cash my big spankin' bonus that I got from work. Not to mention some "lay down" time will be nice.

I still feel fat. Doesn't that suck? When I'm not retaining much water I feel great, but when I'm slightly bloated I feel like I have an eternity to go before I reach my goals. It would be nice if I could snap my finger and just be whatever weight and bodyfat I'd like...heheh. Some might say that would take the fun out of it. I say that would take the STRESS out of it.

HY : Character schmaracter. ;)

She did a lot of sculpting and modeling for a while, but now she is getting into painting. I need to scan this thing she did though...it is a 3D interpretation of Dali's "Soft Self Portrait" done in pastels. Amazing work.

 except for me it's not the stress, just the desire to get there faster.

This has been a weird week. I ate like crap and didn't get enough calories on the days that I ate properly. Here's what came out :
Ab: 17mm, 16.5mm, 17mm
Chest: 7mm, 6.5mm, 7mm
Quad: 16mm, 16mm, 16mm
Calculation: ~ 11.3%

I was a bit dry this morning and didn't get all of my ALA yesterday, which could easily explain my weight drop, but my scale read around between 165 and 166. I need to get a digital scale because it's too hard to read my crap-ass scale, especially when I first get up.

What does it all mean? Not sure, but I think I lost a little LBM this week along with the 2mm from the abs. Funny enough, my biceps measured a little over 15" this morning (166lbs 15" arms...is that normal?). I assume my legs are more volatile as far as muscle loss goes (due to size and lack of sufficient leg work), but I'll measure those later. All I can figure is that it's im****ingpossible to ever successfully predict exact bodyfat and LBM levels. I don't look 11.3%. My tits ruin that. I might have to be ridiculously low to see any real results. Tonight I go back on yohimburn and I purchase Ultra Lipoderm-Y when that comes out. Maybe that'll help.

You seem to be like me in terms of fat distribution. As I lean down I can see abs before I see improvement in the chest area. It sucks!

Galileo, I've been reading your journal for quite some time so I figured it was only fair to let you know. Great job man. You should be proud of your accomplishments. You're a very disciplined lifter and your journal rocks. I have to ask you though...What is ALA? What does it do? Is it effective? Also, I tend to collect fat in the same places as you, esp. on my chest. Is that Yohimburn stuff really worth it?

I didn't eat very well this weekend and today I feel pretty ****ty because of it. I'm going to dedicate myself to one week of perfect eating, weekends and all, to see how it works out. I think I am going to readjust my calories as well.

Even the littlest bit of fat on my stomach and chest makes me nauseous. My stomach bothers me a lot less than my chest though, so I'd be thrilled to just eliminate that. I really think my bodyfat is higher than the calipers indicate. I just got to keep telling myself that I am progressing and that I'll eventually be where I want to be.

Bah. I actually had a gag reflex while eating my tuna today. That ****in sucked. I thought I was going to puke all over my corporate-American Dell keyboard. Thank ACKSHMEE I didn't, else I'd be typing on turkey and oatmeal particles.

Thanks to Fudo, who suggested that I try not eating as much fat on workout day. That way, when I spike my insulin levels up I won't have FFA's floating around to be sucked up in my nipple region. I will make up for the 100 or so calories split during my earlier meals (starting next time). For today I will just deal with 100 less calories.
