JustinASU : Thanks for reading. ALA is an antioxidant which has some interesting properties. It increases the receptors on your myocites (and unfortunately your lipocytes as well) which allows them to uptake more glycogen from your meals. Essentially, it helps with glucose disposal and as long as you're not overeating, you won't get much of a spillover to your lipocytes which will help you lose fat a bit easier. When I bought yohimburn and used it during my last cut my nipple are reduced very rapidly. I measured it one week at about 18mm then at the end of the week it was around 12mm. I think that combined with proper diet it can be quite effective. I'd look into the new Lipoderm-Y by Avant Labs first. Avant is an excellent company (albeit pricey) with products that most people state live up to the claims. Good luck!

When I derobed for my morning shower I noticed that my chest was much more chisled than the last few mornings so I thought an impromptu measurement might be in order. These numbers were odd in the sense of I have no idea how I got this much better.
bodyweight : 167 lbs
ab : 16mm
chest : 6mm
quad : 16.5mm
bodyfat : 10.8923742284068%
lbm : 148.81 lbs
fat : 18.19 lbs

I wasn't holding any gastric weight, so the 167 is a mystery. I must've done well with my post-workout shake. I assume it did it's job of pushing the good stuff into my muscles.

I've made another change in my diet. I'm putting chicken as my second meal. Why, you might ask? Because turkey makes me tired as ****, that's why. Eating 12oz of that puts me in a daze for the entire afternoon. If I eat that for my 7:00 meal I might actually get to sleep on time.

I hate everybody. I have this Asian ex-friend who hates me now because I call her Asian often. It's not racist or prejudice in any way though. Like, if there are Chinese people talking I'll ask her what they're saying. She takes offense. The problem is, she is taking a course on how to ****ing speak Chinese and I wanted to ****ing know. If anyone asks a question related to Asians I might say, "Ask <insert name>, she's Asian." I never thought it was even an issue but she ****ing made a huge scene at the restaurant the other day. I asked everybody in the group and it seems the problem really isn't me. She's so ****ing over-sensitive that it skews her perceptions of reality to a degree that most "normal" folks can't comprehend. Hell, we were talking about ****ing Fender guitars in front of her and how the cheap'ns are made in Mexico and China, and she got pissed at me.

People always take offense to the stupidest things. If you can't play the cards you've been dealt, then why even bother? I found out that this girl goes to counseling because she is sick of people thinking of her as just a "hot Asian." What the ****? Most girls would die to have a problem like that. If she wasn't as dumb as a fork, then maybe people would complement her on her amazing interrect...I mean intellect. ;)

I don't have enough time to even type out half of the other **** that's going down, but believe me, her problems are a lot bigger than having someone tell her she's Asian. The worst part? She just started dating one of my best friends (ugh...no dating within the friend circle, damnit). So I'm sure this is only the beginning.

In conclusion : **** EVERYBODY. If you have NO sense of humor and lack the sense to come out of the rain, then JUMP OFF OF A ****ING BRIDGE and get it over with already. The only problem is, some are so ****ing stupid that they'd **** up the whole suicide mission and end up landing on someone who is a productive member of society, leaving them unscathed. ****!

I increased my flaxseed oil consumption during my first meal to make up for my second.

I'm going to be sick. I decided to grab a few McChicken sammiches last night because it was getting late and there were no other quick restaurants in the area. Little did I know those motherbitches have 430 calories a PIECE. Have you eaten one of them? They're small as ****! I expected 300 based on the fact that the much large Crispy Chicken sammich is around 500 calories. So, based on my calculations, yesterday I consumed about 2600 calories. Excellent...if I was bulking. So today I am going to try to help out my deficit by working out and skipping my final meal. I'll just drink my protein drink very very slow.

Today I have quite a bit of DOMS in the upper body, although it set on much more quickly than before. The new level of volume has sparked some enthuse for my workouts once again.

I beat Metroid Prime last night. Total life wasted : 16 hours 00 minutes. Total items collected : 100%

Now, I'm going to move on to either :
1. Zelda : Ocarina of Time
2. Zelda : Ocrarina of Time Master Quest
3. Zelda : Wind Waker
4. Mario Sunshine
5. Sonic the Hedgehog Mega Collection

You know why I play games? Television sucks. Games can actually pull me in for a bit so I don't have to pay attention to reality. Television has commercials and other **** that makes it impossible to focus. I would read, but I get too pissed off. I try to finish a book and I always get interrupted. I end up with 2 or 3 books that I've read half of, then I lose track of the storyline, and I say "**** it."

I've still got to get back and beat Metriod Prime. I always buy a new video game before beating the other ones. Its taking me forever to get through the first part of the last stage, where you first come upon those metriods that split into 2 different kinds. Not cool.

Here's my hint to get passed that. Figure out your path to get to the last door, then die. Then follow the path and ignore the fission metroids. You can't really kill them very easily, so it's best to just skip them. When you hear the shriek and they are close, drop into a ball and lay a bomb. You can time it so it explodes as they attach and you'll only lose a couple life points. I hope you have all of your energy tanks, because Metroid Prime can be a biotch.

I might have to do some more exploring then because I don't know that I do. I know I'm missing one or 2.

LOL, its been about a month since I've even tried playing it after dying in there twice. I was trying to out run them but kept getting caught. I was so close and one latched on and when I laid the bomb it blew me off the platform and all the way to the bottom. I cut it off there and stormed out of the room. Haven't picked up the gamecube controller since. I think that was the same day I bought DMC-2 for PS2.

I am so friggen sore yet again today. Going to figure out a leg workout before 1:00 this afternoon, then do my best to get it done in an hour or less.

I did my measurements again this morning and as usual it baffled me.
bodyweight : 169 lbs (WTF?)
ab : 17mm
chest : 6.5mm
quad : 16.5mm
bodyfat : 11.3441162967432%
lbm : 149.83 lbs
fat : 19.17 lbs

Compared to Tuesday:
bodyweight : 167 lbs
ab : 16mm
chest : 6.5mm
quad : 16.5mm
bodyfat : 10.8923742284068%
lbm : 149.83 lbs
fat : 18.19 lbs

Compared to Last Week:
bodyweight : 166 lbs
ab : 17mm
chest : 7mm
quad : 16mm
bodyfat : 11.3441162967432%
lbm : 147.17 lbs
fat : 18.83 lbs

So this week, rather than losing any bodyfat, I gained lbm. Wonderful...IF I WAS ****ING BULKING. Maybe it's the 5g of creatine I took once this week. *sigh* I wish there were more absolutes in dieting.

Synopsis : Well, this was my first time doing a leg workout in a professional environment since I was 18. When I arrived I expected my four selected exercises to take much longer than they did. Imagine my shock when I realized that I don't have to **** with equipment for 5 minutes between each set! But, much to my chagrin, they only possess 8 45lb plates, which makes me think the future leg workouts won't be so exciting.

The leg press was occupied by a calf-raising cross-trainer, so I started off with leg extensions.

leg extension : 60x8, 80x8, 110x8
It's amazing how different this feels when you have consistent force throughout the entire movement. My legs looked big, but they are quite weak.

45° leg press : 2ppsx8, 3ppsx8, 4ppsx8
I figured out where I stood here, but 3 sets was enough. I estimate that this machine will be rendered useless in 1-2 months.

lying hamstring curls : 60x8, 70x8, 70x8
Again, consistent force is wonderous. I left these light because I didn't want any stress on my lower back. Unfortunately, these ****ers only jump up by increments of 10 (genius..let me tell you), so I might be taking a higher rep approach to progression.

lying calf-raise : 100x8, 150x8, 160x8
I wasn't fully acclimated to this machine, even after three sets. I'll increase more next week.

hack calf-raise : 195x8, 215x8, 265x8
More like it. I didn't get the full lower extension, but I started to feel it once I got to the higher weight.

hyperextension : +10x8, +10x8
Boring but necessary.

seated back extension: 40x8, 40x8
See above.

seated ab crunch : 70x8, 80x8, 100x5
These felt like they worked my back more than my abs. I didn't feel like adjusting height on it, but next time I will.

HIIT elliptical cardio : 1 min warmup, 15H/45L x4, 2 min cooldown
This was much easier than last time. Funny enough, last time was 2 weeks ago. It was odd to finish up on this note, but what the hell, right? I am cutting.

Overall I've never done so many things in one workout since my fullbody days. Insane! Here's the shocker.

Muscle Gain or fat loss:

Not to worry, you're up a bit in weight, likely just water maybe something else in the system. The pinches I have found vary a lot depending on how the water and fat loss is being distributed. I have on occasion found that I look in the mirror thinner, my waist is down slightly yet my ab pinch is higher. Or I pinch lower elsewhere but higher at the ab from a previous month. It seems to giggle and wiggle to differently so it varies the pinches. Look at as an average and trend over the weeks.

On the other hand, maybe it just PMS at the moment and all then rationale goes out the window. ;)

Leg Day:

It had better be the best leg day you've evar had, f00! You're so hardcore, you can make any gym equipment sing the tune of intensity. So work it hard, dude. ;)

galileo

rookie : I wasn't comfortable enough to go hardcore today. I'm going "slow n' steady." If you make the plates hit each other on those pussy cybex machines, the women and homos look at you funny.

I just saw your workout. 4pps is not shabby at all for a light day. :) Once you get use to the motion your legs will truly beg you to out plate that machine. And I see the I was right about he machine difference for curls and extensions. :) Mik noticed the same thing last week. Good choice to do the leg day at work.

Final note, ace on the 45 mins which means you won't have any problems keeping this scheme going. Workout looks great dude.

Note : If you're a homo [ectx, etc.], I apologize for any offense. There's nothing wrong with being a homo. It's nature's way of saying there are too many babies. However, the fact remains that most people in the gym at work are of that persuasion. Thank you.

I woke up this morning and my weight was 171. I swear to ****ing god I have no idea what the **** is going on. My ab pinch is not increasing.

I'm refeeding today in hopes of getting my metabolism/leptin back in line. If I end my cut weight 180 @ 8%, someone better ****ing call Guinness.

Maybe I finally got some water retention from the higher volume workouts? If I was on anabolics, I'd understand, but I'm not. I wish I was sometimes though. I bet it feels like all the hard work and dedication you put in finally amounts to something. Oh well, pipe dreams. I had a pretty ****ty weekend. Went to a party and didn't plan on drinking, but I ended up having two 40's of Coors Light (not my choice in beer...) and having a mediocre time, until my girlfriend got sick. She threw up all night long, then more the next day, then on the car ride home at five in the evening. She finally stopped once we got home and we both fell asleep on the couch for a while. I underslept on Saturday and overslept on Sunday making me generally pissy today.

The refeed went generally well. Jellybeans, popsicles, white bagels, and lean protein sources. I think it got me rolling again. I'm not hungry or craving anything.

mik: True.

My bodyweight was 168 today. I even moved my scale to a different location and reset the calibration. Still 168. It's been about 4 days and my weight is staying in that region. I've ruled out the following:
1. Temporary subcutaneous water retention.
2. Fat gain.

It could be:
1. Muscle (pssh, yeah right).
2. Bone density increase.
3. Parasites.
4. My feet grew.
5. My head got bigger.
6. Glycogen.

I've heard HIIT cardio does magical things, but not if you do it once every 3 weeks, heh. I look somewhat leaner. Not quite ~11% though. I'd say based on my appearance I could be around 12% or slightly higher. My metabolism is likely back to rocking after my refeed, so I'm going to stick with my game plan. I'm so happy that I haven't lost much muscle so far, so I want to keep it that way. My arms still measure an honest 15", albeit small, they were 15" @ 185 as well. I can't believe I was ever 185 right now...My girlfriend's sister saw me for the first time since my bulk and she said I looked very skinny. The funniest part was that my girlfriend piped up very quickly and said, "Muscular and very lean, not very skinny! Never say skinny!" Heh, I have her trained.

I must've been holding a bunch of facial water back then. Looking at a picture from x-mas, I look bloated. I guess the amount of food I ate would do it. I was sucking down about twice the food I am right now. I know 5lbs of that was intestinal, but I must have been fatter than I realized, especially if I am keeping my measurements.

So, I'm going to take 2 weeks off from the caliper. I have the room to play around (92 days left to diet), so I figure this is a good time to really stop worrying about **** and just eat clean and stick to my diet. When I start measuring again, I'm going to try to get my girlfriend to start doing my pinches and just accept what she gives me every time. I find the leaner I get, the harder it is to get consistency in my measurements.

http://www.hollowmedia.com/images/box.jpg Mastication and Deglutition
I got myself some sugar-free gelatin. HOLY ****. I found a new artificially sweetened addiction. I think this is a diet breakthrough. Although, one serving for me is the entire packet.

Synopsis : It is back day.

weighted chinups: bwx5, +25x5, +45.5x7
I opted for a new warmup method today. Did it work? I'm not sure. I could've made another 1/2 - 3/4 rep, but I'd rather put the emphasis on doing more than one left well.

db rows : 105x8:8, 105x8:8
105 was easy, which makes me happy. I'll do one more set and then check my bb rows.

bb rows: 135x6 165x8, 165x8
First time doing these. 135 felt smooth, but 165 required actual focus, so I stuck with it. The second set was easier than the first. I'll likely CNS my way up a bit over the next few weeks. Don't laugh at me, I am sensitive.

shrugs : 230x8, 250x8
These were easy, but I was running too long to increase anymore.

db incline curls : 35x8, 35x8
I like deez! The last rep on each side was murder. The 8th rep on my left arm of the last set was nice...the collar fell off and BAM weights go down. It twas brutal.

See, sometimes things that are green are lime, and sometimes they are green apple. Both are infinitely excellent. In fact, I can't think of anything green (artificially flavored green) that I don't like.

I stayed away from the scale and calipers so far today. I'm so proud.

I didn't sleep enough last night, so I'll push my chest workout to thursday, which will give me time to recover from my long back workout. I'm starting to enjoy the extra volume in my workouts. I was thinking about my bulk and I'll likely attempt to increase my reps to the 8-12 range. It's been a while since I've done so and it'll be nice to change up a bit.

I'm working with a few groups right now, trying to get a solid band together again. I'm being very cautious with the people I select this time around. The combination of dedication and talent that I am looking for is difficult to come by, but I'd sacrafice some talent for more dedication. I have two amazing guitar players fully committed and a pending bassist. Drummers? I thought they were a dime a dozen. Obviously not. I have yet to find a drummer with dedication and a mental capacity greater than a rock that can actually keep a beat. It's disturbing as ****. The best part about this situation is that one of the guitarists has about 20k worth of recording equipment in his home studio and he records bands on the side. That means we get unlimited time to make a fairly high quality recording.

Note: Notice my images are gone? Yes, I've exceeded my monthly bandwidth limitation of 1GB bandwidth per month. I never thought I'd reach it, but apparently I have. Know why? My inconsiderate friend uploaded some 1MB pictures and posted them to his gay RPG forums. He owes me $.42.

I'm hungry as **** again today.

Who needs fiber anyways? Its easier to pass liquid anyways.

Ever had All Bran? Man, that **** is good. Very little fat, and its friggin loaded with fiber, imo, its actually pretty good for being a fiber cereal.
I used to make my world famous protein yogurt smizzle.
1 cup yogurt
1 cup pumpkin(yeah, the pie ****, in big cans.)
2 scoops protein powder, preferably vanilla flavor
1/4-1/2 cup all bran.
Mix together the yogurt and pumpkin until decently smooth. Fold in the protein powder and then mix, so its not chunky.
Top with all bran.
Go **** yourself.
Enjoy!

Its actually really good, the pumpkin adds a pretty interesting flavor and a lot of fiber and vitamins and **** without adding many calories. The all bran...lots of fiber, little calories. Needless to say, most of the calories come from the powder and the yogurt. It usually comes out to 75-80 grams of protein and some 65 grams of carbs, and hell, close to no fat depending on what kind of yogurt you use. Its pretty versatile. Use full fat yogurt and you're bulking. Nonfat, you're cutting. Powwie.

Whablam.

And...I ate two and a half cups of All-bran yesterday. All-bran extra fiber.

homey: What type of rig do you have? I've played guitar since I was about 12. I love it, but singing is something I enjoy enough to focus on it.

rookie : I bought my domain account from a fairly inexpensive ($4.99/year) hosting site and they have automatic rules in place to enforce bandwidth limitations. My friend set up Apache on his home computer and now I take his bandwidth. That douche-nozzle.

boodiak : I used to eat Fiber One (as cereal) all of the time. It's the lowest in sugar of the bran cereals. The problem is that I don't really want to have any extra dairy while I cut. I still have a full box in my cupboard. If you haven't tried it, it owns. Plus, it comes in handy sleeves...for some reason. Not sure if I'd handle it dry, but it would probably be pretty good in my cottage cheese and yogurt menagerie.

Your recipe sounds...interesting. I may give it a shot though to change things up. I don't own vanilla powder at the moment though, because most of it tastes like wet asshole.

I have a Jackson Kelly, a Peavey stack, a Crybaby, and a boss metal pedal.

I'm not up on all the amp specs and stuff so I don't know the wattage but its got 2 12" speakers in it. Its my baby that'll rock the pictures off the wall turned up to 3. I've only had it up to 10 once and I was out the door and down the hall playing.

The resident advisor for our dorm knocked (read, beat and screamed) on the door for me to turn it down. She could hear it 2 floors below and down the hall, through cinderblock. I was so happy I shed a tear.

All I can say is that old habits die hard. I stepped on the scale this morning and it told me that I was 170lbs, with no change in diet and nothing significant that I could attribute to this change. I've changed my mind on what I think the possible answers could be.
1. My scale is broken.
2. I have a serious thyroid problem that causes me to gain weight on roughly 2000 calories a day.
3. I am a chronic sleep-eater.

So my solution could be as simple as buying a new scale or as complicated as removing all food from my apartment.

Seriously, maybe I need a longer (2 day) refeed? I don't know. I don't think I am low enough for that. I am going to start doing HIIT more often, which sucks because it makes the rest of my day at work miserable. I can't exactly do it at home though, so my options are extremely limited in the cardio department.

There are 6 dozen kk donuts staring me in the face this morning, but I have zero urge to even look at them. I'm almost motivated by my lack of recent progress, which will at least help with any binges. I was going hella strong for a quite a bit and now it seems things are dragging. I got down much leaner before on 2000 calories and I had a bit less mass, so cutting calories is not an option.

I am looking into some metformin. I've researched it for a little over 6 months but never bothered to give it a shot. Right now might be a good time, so we'll see. I am also going to take my ephedra every day, not just intermittently.

I went into the bathroom and washed my hands this morning and what I found was overly disturbing. Our company replaced the Dial® anti-bacterial soap with some stupid-ass "summer rain" scented generic crap. Is this a corner we've cut? Do people care if their hands smell like a ****ing dew drop in April? What the ****? All I know is that I don't want to be reminded every time I rub my nose that I am not outside where things smell wonderful (like I can even remember...). Instead, I am inside my cubical hell waiting for a lackluster retirement in anywhere from 31-41 more years. Maybe I'll receive a crappy gold watch that I'll never wear. Maybe they'll bake me a cake and congratulate me on being one step closer to wearing adult diapers and asking people to repeat themselves after everything they say. So, while I rest my hand on my ergo-****ing-nomic mouse and sit in my ergo-****ing-nomic chair...I wait for death, knowing that I spent my entire life stuck behind this mother ****ing keyboard and monitor with hands that smell just like a scented douche.

Totally unrelated, I was reading through some code from our ERP system and found an interesting comment.
"Determine the miximum field number."

I wasn't sure if the author meant maximum or minimum. If you take the key placement into account, minimum seems like the obvious choice. A is much farther from I than N is from X. But, if you think of it from the angle of intent, it seems that with that placing the letter X a word is infrequent enough to assume that he meant maximum. Then, I had an epiphany! Miximum is a new ultra-word! What a brilliant developer he must've been!

I'll accept genius but I'm sure I'll be saddled with madman. Engaging in 20-30 emails a day with Galileo should make anyone mad, however, as a genius, I do pretty good. Given the fact that you are likely carrying on a conversation with 10 other peeps at the same time, I'm guessing I know who the real genius is.

I will admit some days are worst then others. Why today had to be a particularly bad day, I don't know. I looked back at what I had said, and you are right, my proclivity to drop words from sentences let alone letters from words, tends to make reading my AIM messages difficult at times. Anybody who has read my posts will notice that. Unfortunately, my typing hands do not keep up with my racing mind. :( If I'm especially in a hurry, I'll press return prior to re-reading and correcting. Good or bad that's my quirk to deal with. Taking longer to respond, usually gives the impression that I am done, when in fact I am not. Note, you are not alone in having to deal with my cryptic messages. At least one other member here, must scratch their head occasionally and ask me to clarify. AIM is my "developmental opportunity".

Something else that happens as we chat back and forth via email, is this practice of carrying on two or three conversations at a time to each other. This also tends to happen with the aim messages since our style doesn't change just because the medium changes. I figure that you are multi-tasking all day long as well as multi-threading with our conversations. With aim, it's difficult to multi-thread so you need to keep up with the previous statements to see the connection. I frequently pick up a previous idea, because I'm not yet done saying what I want to say about the topic.

That being said, in all fairness, the previous conversation would appear a bit better when worded correctly and with some context. Plus the order of the above statements were off. "Piss" was in reference to taking a leak as well as being annoyed, both of which were referenced earlier in AIM.

No matter, Galileo, your palaver today, rocked. :)

Wait a minute...how the **** did you get blisters and scrapes from golfing? Your hands should be covered with a 1/4 inch thick layer of callousses by now, dudinski.

Your soft, unworked flesh sickens me. For the rest of this post I shall refer to you as Pinky.

Hey, Pinky, by the way, why was your girlfriend hitting the golf balls and not getting you a beer?

budiak : Blister : my golf glove was put away wet causing it to be stiff and bunchy which rubbed on my index finger. Scrape: Not so sure, but somehow something rubbed on my right forearm. My palms (where the callous is located) suffered no damage.

My girlfriend wasn't getting me a beer for two reasons. One, they don't serve beer at a driving range in Pennsylvania. Two, I respect women. You don't? Maybe that's why you get laid all the time and I don't! Oh...wait...no, it's the other way around, huh? Yeah, just what I thought. STFU.

I feel LEAN! And manic! But most importantly LEAN! I just took an ec tablet with a sip of coffee, in case you wondered why.

But seriously, my lower chest fat is way way way better this week, plus when I pinch my gut with my fingers, it feels a ton better. Therefore I feel I've made positive changes even if my other pinches didn't go down. I did a lil’ pinch last night and I hit 16-16.5 which is nice for evening. I should be able to get a 15-15.5 on friday if all goes well.

I am going to start going tanning this coming week. I am only going to go 1-2x a week and I'm keeping the sessions quite short. I'm not doing it to look "pretty." My complexion is pale from working in a goddamned basement all day and it doesn't look healthy. I'd rather have a little more color in the skin. Plus, I get to stand naked in a booth and I'm not even a stripper! You can't beat that.

NEW DIET TIME! I’m only having one dilemma. Not sure whether on workout days to go ahead and take the fats with my last meal or not. I think it should be OK, but I have all day to think about it.

With the new diet, I am now taking 2 ALA prior to each of my first 3 meals and probably one with my evening meals. Except on workout days where I'll take two with my post-workout shake.

You also can compare nutition listings at other similar diet analysis websites such as http://www.ag.uiuc.edu/~food-lab/nat/mainnat.html . I have found that the listings at this one are more reliable than fitday.

I haven't tried it yet, but apparently it actually gets absorbed unlike the bunk-ass chelated kind. They also mentioned that in order to get the full benefits it should be taken with Vitamin D. I didn't bother trying to find studies to back this up, but since I currently don't take any other calcium I shall start on this soon. I'll just take it with my multi and hope for the best.

Yeah, that's what made me think about it too. Except it wasn't $0.49 anymore, or I would've definitely bought it (I'm a sucker for a bargain.) It was more like $6 a bottle. So I thought I'd do some scientific research first, you know, to see if it was worth it. So I asked you. Voila! Fully researched, well-reasoned decision made.

Well I asked my boss and he said it was cool to come in early for a few days so that's what I am doing. I am not enjoying the getting up while the little hand is on 5 thing.

I'm tired, but golfing should be fun this evening! I need to do something fun. I've been spending too much time not having fun lately.

Also, I'd like to take a moment to congratulate my friend stella's husband for his breakthrough today.

http://12.227.62.112/box.jpg Mastication and Deglutition
Yay! Back to the new boring plan!

I purchased 6 bottles of r-ALA from 1fast400 yesterday. I plan on taking 500mg [1 per meal] of the r-ALA variety once I get it. I got this for two reasons. First, it costs $15 for 100 @ 100mg. The 1fast400 equivalent of regular ALA costs $13.88, which is not much less. Note: The ALA is 300mg and the rALA is 100mg, which is roughly an equivalent dose. The second reason is that I would like to see if I notice any benefit. I likely won't, but for an extra $1.12 per 100, I can live with it.

I wish creatine didn't break down in water. Last night I thought it would be ubah if I'd mix creatine powder in my sugar-free jello. But, since it degrades over time, it wouldn't be that good of an idea. Even though my creatine is practically tasteless, for some reason the little taste is has makes me feel ill. I get pukey just thinking about it.

I wonder if craving fried food is associated with leptin? Because I sure as **** am craving some cheese sticks right about nizzle.

**** "BRING YOUR PAIN IN THE ASS, ANNOYING, LOUD, OBNOXIOUS KIDS TO WORK DAY." **** it! **** **** ****. I am so ****ing sick of hearing the laughter of my manager's 8 year old, partially retarded son as he runs up and down the hall. WHY LORD? WHY DID YOU CAUSE THE RIGHT EARPIECE IN MY HEADPHONES TO STOP WORKING? WHY DO I HAVE TO SUFFER THIS TERRIBLE PLAGUE IN MONO?

Is peace and quiet too much to ask for in a work environment? I don't even have a goddamned door to slam. I can't wait to be a manager. Then I can chat on AIM all day and email my friends while in meetings...

Did you ever wish you worked for a company that was so large that you would just blend in and not worry about being noticed for every little thing? I used to work for a company like that and you had to put a ton of effort in to actually make your presence known. I enjoyed that. Funny enough, I was overzealous and put in the extra effort. I enjoyed what I did. Know what I don't enjoy? Parsing through antiquated code for eight hours a day in an attempt to verify what we already know. It sucks. I want to go back, but I want to take my entire existence with me...my girlfriend, parents, friends, and apartment. There is no way even one of those would work out. So I'll just keep ****ing sitting here, learning nothing new about my industry, and become a bitter, stale maniac who is bereft of purpose.

Ok maybe I need some dreams. Everyone has a dream, right? Something not quite attainable yet if everything aligns just perfectly, the chance can exist. Some people dream of winning the lottery. Some dream of grandeur. I used to dream of playing music for a living, but I've lost all fervor for such pursuits. I honestly can't think of anything else I can strive toward. Sure, I have short-term goals for certain aspects of my life, but nothing that even resembles a dream. I crave something to pray for every night before I go to sleep...something that consumes me. I can't handle mediocrity.

...maybe another day.

I am going to include a Bush quote in this one, but only because it is most excellent. Otherwise, I'm sick of typing them out.

(Man, I would make a great manager.)

Well other then the triple overtime stuff, you are correct. Managers never get paid extra for extra hours put in. It is just part of the pay. However, I didn't say it was going to be a vacation day just a day off. ;) If I do all that other stuff, then I would miss the posts here on WBB! Although, a massage is sounding pretty good right now. Maybe a massage and a nap.

I performed some measurements this morning. I shouldn't be gaining lbm on a cut.

Chest : 6.5mm
Abs : 16mm
Quads : 16mm
Bodyweight : 169 lbs
Bodyfat : 10.8923742284068%
LBM : 150.59 lbs
Fat : 18.41 lbs

Doesn't appear to be much of a change from last week, except my weight is staying higher. I can see a positive difference in my chest fat as well. I think I may need to lower the calories a little more or just add in more cardio in order to kickstart more fatloss. I'm also considering changing the way my diet looks on workout days.

I am evening considering a minor slow bulk just to switch things up for a bit. Maybe shock the system.

I felt really bad about myself after eating 2 Big Chicken Fillet Sammiches from Hardee's last night. Then I looked up the nutritional content.
calories: 712.8
fat: 34.2
sat: 5.8
carbs: 64.5
protein: 40.4

Now I feel even worse. GREAT. I didn't eat anything the rest of the evening, so I traded around 900 calories of healthy food for 1400 calories of crap. But, damned if they weren't hella tasty.

Synopsis : Today was a leg day. A crappy one at that.

My ears kept popping and I had some drainage kicking. That played a big part in some of my exercises. I drank too much water while working out as well, which made me feel bloated. Not a good thing.

Ok, here it goes...

45° leg press : 1pps x8, 2pps x5, 3pps x5, 4pps x8, 4p+25ps x5
Holy **** do I have weak legs. Holy ****.

seated leg extension : 120x8, 130x8, 130x8
These felt good. The last set burned like hell. A good burn though, I imagine.

lying hamstring curl : 60x8, 70x8
The last set didn't recruit my lower back much but I still got a firm contraction. That was good.

lying calf-raise : 150x8, [neutral]160x8, [out]160x8
[i]These were nice. Toes pointing out was way too easy though, so I'll remember that for next time.

45° calf-raise : 2pps x8, 3pps x8
I determined that this was a horrible angle at which to do calf-raises. I didn't get the full contraction I needed.

roman chair hyperextension : +20x8, +20x8
These felt easy. Just a slight bit of discomfort on the last reps. I imagine deadlifts hit my back well earlier this week though.

cybex abdominal machine : 80x3[quick adjust]90x5, 110x3[supa]100x3[supa]90x8
Ok, so maybe 110 was too much for me. 100 would've been fine had I not struggled on the 110's.

HIIT elliptical cardio : 1 min warmup, 15H/45Lx3, 2 min cooldown
I felt like puking before I even got here. After three I knew I was done.

I'm quite happy at the moment...

About five years ago I went to a local show with my best friend Beth. She introduced me to a good friend of hers that was dating the guitar player (Colin) of the band we went to see. I talked with the guys in the band and I literally fell in love with the idea of being in this group. They were everything I wanted in a band and they were all quite talented. The second guitarist, Corey (the one not dating my friend's friend), showed up for the show late, I didn't get to talk with him, and he didn't seem to be as close to the group as everyone else, so he was my target. I knew that if he was out of the band then I could weasel my way in and become the new guitar player. Lucky for me, he was going to another state for college and I planned on seizing the opportunity the moment it arose. I talked with the bass player about it for a bit and he was thrilled to find a replacement so easily. I figured, if he ended up not moving, I guess I would just have to kill him. After the show, the two guitarists and the drummer were having an ad hoc band meeting. They were discussing how they were going to get rid of their current singer because he was a ****-off. I took it in, but did not pretend to even take notice. I figured that the band would likely break up with the singer and guitarist both departing, so my dreams were put on hold.

On the way home from the show I was riding in the car with the two girls back to Colin's house and they were playing the first deftones' CD. I sang along, because I enjoy tormenting others. Colin's girlfriend told me that she thought I had a wonderful voice and it immediately got me thinking. Maybe I could take a shot at singing for the band? Long shot, but what the hell, right? I told her to tell the guys that I would like to try out if they ever needed a singer. A few months passed and nothing more was mentioned. I just assumed things fell through and that was it...

It was June and high school had just ended for Beth. It was time for a graduation party and she invited her friend to come and bring whomever. She brought Colin, Corey, and Steve (bass player) and we talked all night while getting hammered. After I was nice and toasty, with my confidence kicking, I said something that likely came off in the rudest way imaginable, but I think it went something like, "When are you going to get rid of that **** of a singer you have and get a real one?" Colin snapped at me, "Do you think you could do better?" I replied, "**** yeah!" What the hell was I doing? I'd never sang in a band nor did I even imagine that I could. Most certainly I'd never screamed before and that was one of the main parts of the job. So they had the DJ pop in the same deftones CD that I sang along with on the car ride home months ago. I sang my heart out, as most drunk people would. It was like a bad night of karaoke and I can bet that I sounded like total ass, but I sang nonetheless. After the song concluded Colin looks at me and says, "We're practicing tomorrow afternoon without the singer. Can you be there at 2:00?" Holy ****! I went to the practice with my tiny combo amp and radio shack mic and gave it my all. That evening I went to the show and watched the current singer play the set, unbeknownst that he was the former singer the entire time. It was uncomfortable in many ways, but I was too excited to even care.

The months past and everyone in the band became best friends. We hung out almost every day of the week despite the fact that we lived 30 minutes apart. It was honestly the best time I've ever had in my entire life. The irony of the situation comes with the fact that Corey, of all people, was the one I became closest too. He was the one I wanted out of the band to begin with!

As the next few years went on, we slowly deteriorated. First Colin left to become a rave DJ, then Steve was "let go," then the new bass players, then Steve again, and finally Mikey (the drummer). It was a ****ing great time, but apparently not great enough to withstand the females in some of the members' lives.

Corey moved in with his girlfriend in an apartment about 1 hour away. Then I moved out of the state for a while and when I came back I found myself 2 hours away from my best friend. It's not been a fun few years as a result.

Now, to my point. This Saturday I get to help Corey move in to an apartment that sits about 20ft to my left. I am so excited about this that I've found it impossible to even express! No amount of words that I write in my journal could describe how close of friends we really were over the years or how many things we've helped each other through, so I won't even try. But I'm just so happy I had to talk about it! I'm getting my best friend back!

Some of the guys on Avant take up to 2-3 g of calcium a day. Of course, it's not the magic coral calcium, so maybe with better absorption, you wouldn't need that much. But there it is.

They take about 500 mg-1g in the morning, and 1-2 g at night. (With dairy, for best absorption.)

Also, at those kind of mega-doses you might need a little extra D to keep things balanced out - I'm going to switch a little of my fish oil caps out for cod liver oil when it gets here.

**** YEAH! I thought about no longer looking as though I workout. Let's hear some couch-potato mother****er say that again. I could've repped another one, again, but I wanna actually do dips today.

weighted dips : +93x6, +48x8
Can't quite get 8 after the rest of my workout, but I'm not too upset. The +48 was a breeze. Not heavy just exhausting. I did the second set < 1 minute after the first. Oh, and my hands were apparently re-sensitized because it hurt like **** holding myself up with that weight. It doesn't take long.

lying db tricep extensions : 35x8, 35x8, 35x8
I was hoping to catch 4-6 of these since the huge jump. ****ing A', 35 was light.

Wow, this was a great workout compared to previous attempts. Must have been the crazy eating weekend. I can't complain. I didn't hit any PR's or anything, but I'm pleased with the effort I put forth. Finally...

Wow I'm pissed. I went to get my fitness review results from when I joined my work gym. First off, they say I'm 18%. Second off, they told me that someone my age should be 8%!!! Third (which is my fault), they gave me 30 articles on how bad ephedra is for you and how many deaths, blah blah. I mentioned I took ephedra when my resting heart rate was elevated. They didn't care for that too much, apparently. So, now I'm fat and unhealthy. Oh yeah, and my strength levels were poor. I guess since they didn't look at the 31 pushups in 30 seconds, rather they looked at 31 pushups in 60 seconds. I quit early, dumbasses! When we were done I asked the "trainer" if she'd ever seen anyone who was actually 18% bodyfat before. She was like, "Um, uh..." I said yeah. Then I told her of the bodybuilder who went in pre-contest and scored a 20% when he had striations in his ass. She gave me her song and dance about hydration and how you can't eat for at least 3 hours before you take it, and so on and so on. I just smiled and nodded because it's not worth it to explain how things work to some people.

Then I went on and did my 10 minutes of cardio as people stared in disgust. No one can quite grasp why I run like I'm being chased by the producers of the Jenny Jones show and then slow down as if to taunt them. But I don't care. I'm going to get results and continue to do so.

But these things do frustrate me. I feel less accomplished in my fitness goals when someone says I'm unhealthy in any capacity. I live, eat, drink, and sleep fitness. Of course it ****ing pisses me off. I still feel fat. Not 18% fat, but fat. How fat do you think you are if you can see your ribs at rest? My brain is all frazzled after the cardio so I'm going to stop now. I can barely type.

Do you have to have those fitness review things? I'd tell her to piss off.

We have a trainer at my gym I'd like to kick beat senseless just out of pure principle. Come to think of it, I'd do that to every one of the trainers at my gym.

A 45lb plate is all you need. BOOM! Problem resolved and it gets real quiet too.

Dude. No more listening to morons. I beg of you.

When the fitness trainers at your gym start agreeing with your goals and methods, then you worry.

I concur.

The people at the work gym are assholes and they smell like ass and love to eat holes. The holes..of ASSES!!!

CG's right. Once they tell you you're doing a good job, you're ****ed.

Last night I was doing Sumos and this skinny older dude was staring at me as I readied for a pull. I did the pull and it was only 365lbs so it wasnt too hard, and it was my first day ever doing sumos. After the pull I notice he's murmering something to the trainer, the trainer looks at me and shrugs, shakes his head, and says, very clearly, 'Hell, I dont know!'

Morons. I think that the haet stirred up by those scrawny assholes is what actually led to my PR. God bless those dickfaces.

37. I'm not very good. All things considered I had a good round though. If I hadn't doubled a par 4 and a par 5, I would've been playing bogey golf (on average). When I was in high school I went every day and I would shoot 42-45 consistently. I didn't golf at all in college and I went 2 times last year. I am hoping to really get back into it this year and go at least once a week.

It appears as though something is causing my chest to retain a lot of water yesterday and today. Could it be the r-ALA? I know the regular ALA made me retain a small amount of water, but this is a good bit. I can actually take my fingers and press around my lower chest and feel the water move around, like a swollen limb. I have the worst ****ing hormones, christ. I'm surprised I'm not a cross-dresser or some ****ed up ****.

Well yesterday I was out and I hate about 10 wings and didn't eat my last meal. I'm sure I was short on the calories for the day, but I was so upset about eating the wings I couldn't imagine even looking at more food. The problem comes when you friends want to sit at the bar. I didn't have any beer though, which is very good. I'm typically a "one won't hurt" kind of guy in that capacity, but I've 100% given up drinking for a while. It's too detrimental to my goals as a whole.

I'm not appearing to be losing much fat at the moment.I did my ab pinch this morning and it was still 16mm. Plus with the chest water I'm retaining, I look like Rosie O'Donnell. Looking at myself I'm still quite fat. I have some love handles and my chest sucks. I don't think constant refeeding is yet necessary at this point. Next week I start the metformin so I'll see how that works out. I'm half-tempted to pick up some DNP and try to make my corpse as pretty as possible.

Music : Stupid-ass college radio station. I heard everything from Kid Rock featuring Sheryl Crow to Christina Aguilera. Not quite good for my mental state.
Synopsis : My chest and triceps are still pretty sore from my workout on Monday. It's refreshing to get sore again though. It's been quite some time.

I'm going to attempt a back day at work. I brought my dip belt and my olympic dumbbell with me so I can use more than the 55lb dumbbells. They'll probably say something to me about it.

[neutral]weighted chinups : BWx8, +25x5, +45x5
Yeesh. These handles were made for people with arms slightly longer than my dwarf'ns.

[supinated]weighted chinups : +35x5
Again, who the hell was this thing made for?

one arm db rows : 110x8:8, 110x8:8
I think I use too much back turn on these. I don't think I was doing it before, though. The woes of cutting...

[wide pronated]cybex row/rear delt machine : 120x6, 100x8, 100x8
I'm starting to get the feeling my back is way way weaker than I suspected. The last few reps were not easy.

[narrow neutral]cybex row/rear delt machine : 100x8, 100x8
See above.

[wide pronated]cybex lat pulldown machine : 60x8, 60x8
See above.

incline dumbbell curls : 35x8:8, 35x6:6
My arms were absolutely fried even before I did these, but I wanted to do them anyway.

Well I got some stares for strapping weight around me for chins and some more stares when I busted out all of the 25's they had to make my dumbbell suitable for rowing.

Final Thought : I'm a major major pussy.

I'm thinking about how ****ty that workout felt and I think now would be a good time to really focus on making absolutely certain that my form is up to par on all of my motions. I really don't know what I should be doing on these machines, but it sure as hell seems to me like it should be more than I am doing when compared to my magically larger chin/rows. Now I start thinking about how hard the barbell rows were and I'm fairly certain that I am returning to my status of weakest male on the planet.

Aight pussy listen up! You are cutting. It drains the strength from you. If you are having problems then my suggestion (merely so and I'll explain why) would be this:

(disclaimer - this is not for newbies and if you are new then don't do this)

Use heavier weight and don't be a afraid to cheat. Move into the 4-6 rep range but don't be afraid of 3 reps either. If you can do 6 reps. Move up in weight. I've found for me that I don't have good muscle endurance but if I am working in the 4-6 rep range I have alot more strength than what my weights in the 8-10 rep range would imply. I burn out quickly after 6 reps. For me its not always the form nor the pump or whatever is moving that weight through the ROM. There might be some cheating involved in some things but the negatives are always controlled.

This type of training has worked reallly well for me. I've seen some pretty good gains. I'm getting a little burnt out on it but its been there.

Anyway, I guess the suggestion is to take a few weeks and go heavy. 4-6 rep range heavy. You might surprise yourself. Then when you move back to higher reps you'll be pulling more because you have adapted to the heavier weights you were moving before. At least its worked for me. Maybe, hopefully, I'm not full of crap.

HomeY : Excellent. Thanks for the words of advice. I currently insist on my negatives being quite slow, so that'll work out.

I felt leaner this morning, which was nice. I did an ab pinch just to check and I'm down to 15.5mm. I got a major shipment of dextrose in yesterday (10 pounds) so I plan on doing a huge-ass refeed this weekend. I'm going to try the liquid carb method. KoolAid with dextrose. I hope I can get the taste to workout for me.

I got a new digital camera. I took a few crappy pictures. I set the camera to no flash and a fast shutter so they are granular once I shrink them down to a decent size. I also took them using the "mirror method." I may consider posting one or two, but I'm not sure. They aren't very good at all. I'm disgusting.

I went out last night and had two things. First I had some Hardee's chicken strips. Trust me. This taste good. You can try it without the Splenda at first, though, but I think it makes it taste a lot better. Plus by weight Splenda is mainly maltodextrin

B&I Aid (makes about 2lbs)
6 cups dextrose
2 cups Splenda
4 packets Watermelon-Cherry Kool Aid
2 packets Fruit Punch Kool Aid (helps with the color)
