Chest and Triceps
Music : Circle of Dead Childred - exotic sense decay, Dillinger Escape Plan - Irony is a Dead Science

bench press : 135x5, 175x5, 200x6
Weak today, which is why I love cutting.

thickhandle incline dumbbell bench press : 67.5x8, 70x8, 70x8
The first set was surprisingly easy compared to last time, even though my bench sucked. I upped them and it was good. I used a little back english on the last one to help out my weak shoulders, but it was still a good set.

incline dumbbell flyes : 50x6, 40x8, 40x8
Ok 50 was too much, 42.5 was too little last week. I'll try...um, 45 next time.

incline dumbbell tricep extensions : 35x8. 35x8
This was nice and hard after a workout that had more sets than usual.

rookiebldr
05-25-2003, 11:02 PM
Increasing the volume I see. Good! Cutting or not, make those workouts count.

Mik

rookie : Increasing the volume can be good, yes - my chest is on fire today. And I'm not modest, just weak.

mik: I should've had 8 easy on that but I was just not feeling it. I felt a lot more warmed up going into the incline presses though.

rg570: You know it.

heathj
05-26-2003, 07:50 PM
So why were you numb? Or would you rather not tell? 200 x 6 is good. Yeah I hate cutting...strength goes down :( Oh well, keep busting your ass. Doing excellent.

galileo
05-26-2003, 08:22 PM
I was numb because I was using nolvadex to try to eliminate this natural gyno that I have. It seemed to be working, but it is not worth the numbness that I experienced. I am planning on surgery at the end of summer. My brother has the same ****ing thing...puffy nips, etc. I hate genetics.

Thanks for the props on the bench. My short-term goal is really 225x8. Since I'm still under 170, it isn't exactly a simple task. Cutting obviously doesn't help :)

peace.

heathj
05-26-2003, 08:27 PM
Hmm...yeah I have a little bit of natural gyno...I've been thinking about taking some sort of anti-e. 225 x 8 would be nice if you're around 170...but even 200 is 30 pounds more than your bodyweight. My bench seems to be stuck at 225. By the way, how much is novla?

galileo
05-27-2003, 05:25 AM
I hate when a particular lift gets stuck. When I get to that point I will just drop it and do something else for a while, then pick it up later. It gets too frustrating when not progressing.

If you look around you can get it for $1/20mg or better. I'd say, give it a shot @ 20mg/day for 2 weeks and see if the area gets better. It is really only going to help if you have fibrous tissue. For water retention and estrogen related fat gain, exemestane and arimidex seem to do the trick. Can't stay on those forever though because they won't do any favors for your cholesterol ratio, but they're good if you have a shirt-off situation.

Budiak
05-27-2003, 05:35 AM
Heath, are you sure its actually gyno? I thought I had some gyno as well but try as I might, I cant find anything under my nipples that would be considered to be gyno. I think that all too often fat and water is discounted as gyno. You say that you're a little bloated, so I'd say you should finish cutting before you make any proclamations...unless you've already done sufficient probing.

Even if, nolva wont really do much if the gyno is established.

heathj
05-27-2003, 12:10 PM
Well, no I'm not positive...and I'm not 100% of how to find out if it is actually gyno. My nipples are sometimes kinda puffy, but then if cold water gets on them or they are rubbed, they turn hard and non-puffy. I don't know.

I've had a "tired" week for some reason. I feel a little peppier today, but I've just been run down this month. I blame it on allergies.

My chest pinch is still 5, abs are now 13, and thigh is 16 (9.52% bf). My thighs are so out of proportion. **** ESTROGEN. I weighed in at 172 this morning.

http://www.hollowmedia.com/images/rbox.jpg Mastication and Deglutition
Basic low-fat diet for workout day. High protein, moderate carbs.

Beverages : 1.5 gallons of water
Supplements: 1fast400 r-ALA 400mg, Optimum Nutrition Glucosamine 750mg, Twinlab Daily One Cap, Twinlab B-100, Twinlab Super E Complex (800IU), Twinlab C-2000, 50mg zinc, 5g creatine, 5g glutamine
Total Calories: ~2000

teh wheels n' belly

45° leg press : 1ppsx8, 3ppsx5, 5p+25psx6, 5ppsx8
It was a little rough adding 50lbs this week, but 5 plates was simple. (+50 -2 reps)

lying calf-raise : 100x8, 180x8, 190x8, 200x8x8
Wow...(+25)

leg extension : 145x8, 150x8
Yowza. (+10)

lying hamstring curl : 90x8, 95x8
What the ****? (+10)

plate raise: 35lbx8
I was just doing this to pass the time until the machine was free again.

hip abductor : 40x8, 60x8, 80x8, 100x8
This machine looked "cute," so I gave it a try. I widened it up to 7 after the 3rd set. I felt like mother ****ing Suzanne Summers on this piece of crap. But, it hits things that I don't think the leg press does, so why not?

weighted crunches: +50x8
This was super easy so I just stopped. 50 is the largest dumbbell in the place, which sucks.

crunch machine: 95x8
I swear these work the back more than the front

I don't know what got into me today, but +10 to both extensions and curls was a shock. The 25 on calf-raise was also unexpected. I'm happy to be making progress.

rookie: The secret is to work a body part very infrequently and poorly for the first 6 months that you workout. Then, when you cut, it will appear as magic when your CNS adaptations take over!

heath: I left them in my parent's garage with the other half of my L5/S1 disc. :( I would LOVE to squat, trust me. If I could, I wouldn't be ****ing with leg presses.

Hey Gal, despite all your whining if you were to look back over this monsterous journal you've made excellent progress. Have you ever been over 12% bf? and BTW will you ever post a front torso pic? I believe I've seen the bi, the forearm, the back and even the wheels (I think) but never the front torso (abs/chest).

galileo
05-30-2003, 04:06 PM
lol, shut up about my whining, dick!

I've been 16% by caliper (which is roughly 18% I guess).

What most people can't see is that my lower chest, ass, and thighs hold <all> of my fat, so my abs look nice, sure. But my chest looks like a pile of ****! I've shown a select few some ab shots, but I wanted to wait until my cut was finished to do a before/after.

Chest and Triceps
Music : Norma Jean - Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child

bench press : 135x5, 155x3, 175x3, 200x8, 200x6
At least I'm back to 200x8.

thickhandle incline dumbbell bench press : 72.5x8, 72.5x8
Yikes these have gotten more difficult. I may stick with this weight next week and be certain my arms aren't falling off.

incline dumbbell flyes : 45x8, 45x8
These were obnoxiously slow and painful. I wanted to make sure the negative was slow as I am afraid of using my good arm to pick the other one off of the floor. They ended up being fairly difficult on the wrists. Looks like I need to reinstate my forearm/grip day.

incline dumbbell tricep extensions : 35x8, 35x8
Ho hum. I'll never increase on these at this rate, but my tris are already sleepy from teh other stuff.

Whining? Hmmmm. I always thought it was self-deprecating, slightly mordant humor.

Whatever. You say tom-ay-to, I say tom-ahhh-to.

How many toes do you have, anyway?

I don't think I whine, but everyone else does. Some people don't understand the subtle art of self deprecation. I'm glad you do!

We whine because we are bodybuilders. We're never satisfied with what we have. That's just the way we are.

Chest workout looked good. Do you have a spotter? Do some negatives on those presses yo.

We must be women because I'm holding all my fat in my ass and thighs too.

Do these spandex make my butt look big?

galileo

homey : Exactly. I don't expect any comments, support, or anything else in respect to my bitching. It's just something I need to write to get the feelings of inferiority out of my system. At the end of the day I know I am bigger, stronger, and leaner than every single one of my [rl] friends, but to me it isn't good enough. If I was ever satisfied, then I wouldn't have the will to keep going.

I have a spotter and I call her "honey." She helps get the heavy sets on the bench off of the racks and when I mutter "spot" she may assist my last rep a little. I may try some negatives tho, it hasn't really crossed my mind in a while.

I will allow others to comment on your ass, but I will say that I have no idea how I got squatter's ass when I don't squat. I could give J-Lo a run for her money. If only I was 5'2" and a latino whore.

I had a pretty nice weekend, although I pretty much did jack ****. Friday I went to Petsmart and played with teh homeless kitties. Then I went to see Matrix Reloaded again, which was much better the second time. I watched a movie with my friend and his girlfriend on Saturday and went over to their apartment on Sunday and ate dinner and chilled. I got some much needed rest and worked out a bit and most importantly, did a major refeed. From 2:00pm on Saturday to Sunday night I refed like a demon. I'm retaining a little water today but I don't think it did any damage. My metabolism is probably humming right now and that's important. I have zero carb cravings today, so that in itself is enough to make it worthwhile.

I am going to do a bit more cardio this week to try to make the most of my fat loss. I feel like I've been stagnating lately. It's extremely difficult to take off the last bits of fat, so doing a bit more cardio will probably benefit me.

I felt extremely full this morning after my refeed. My weight was up due to all of the water retention so I looked ubah. I love those days.

http://www.hollowmedia.com/images/rbox.jpg Mastication and Deglutition
I'm shooting for around 1700 calories today. I think I need to up my protein on my workout days though, but it is hard to keep the calories low when there are trace fats in just about every protein source I consume.

I am pretty happy that my bench is back over 200, but why my incline db press is lower than before I don't know. I was looking back through and saw that I was up to around 85 before. With the difficulty of the 72.5's, I can't imagine being there again until I'm bulking. I'm glad I ceased the dips for now though. I don't feel they did enough for my chest and doing them first drained me for all other motions. I'm really digging the flyes. They don't feel wonderful when I'm doing them, but afterward my chest really feels worked. I'm gonna stick with this combo, but I may be dropping the db tricep extensions and going with something else. We'll see.

bax0r/bix0r

weighted neutral chins : +0x8, +20x8
These were nice. I enjoyed them. Again, I lowered myself to the lowest possible point and pulled myself up until my back was completely contracted. I'm feeling the benefits, yay.

one arm dumbbell rows : 62x8:8, 82x3:3, 112x8:8, 82x8:8
Trying a little more of a warmup scheme this time. I was turning too much on the 112 so I dropped back to 82 and it was ridiculously easy. I hate cutting. Did I say that before?

cybex rear delt/row : [wide pronated]120x8, [neutral] 120x8, 120x8
I've determined that the wide one only helps my reat delts. I guess that's the "rear delt" portion of the machine, huh? ****ers.

cybex lat pulldown : [wide pronated]95x8, 95x8 [shoulder supinated] 105x8
The narrow grip ones felt really strong. I felt like I was under control of the machine. The wide ones don't feel like I'm hitting my lats all that well. The second set of wides I took behind the neck to see if there was a difference. It just felt like my shoulders and biceps were tearing. Holy pump-i-tude.

incline dumbbell curls : 35x8:8, 35x5:5
By the time I got here my arms were so pumped I could barely move them. This did not help my cause, but I want to be a curl jockey.

I stumbled to the shower after talking with the girl who works the front desk [See Palaver] and tried to get into the shower. I've never had so much trouble removing my shirt before. My arms wouldn't go past 45° and my shirt felt like it was glued to my body. Then I tried washing my hair. Pfft. Then...drying off. Getting on a clean wife-beater? NOTHING was working. I'm not "out of it" tired. I'm actually quite alert, which is awesome. My arms just won't ****ing work.

As I'm leaving the gym I decide to ask the woman who works the desk if it was a possibility to get another pair of 45's for the leg press. She explains to me that there are two "vital" treadmills that need repaired because they have over 200,000 miles on them. [See Mistake #1]

Then I explain to her that the reason I joined was to do leg work and that I am almost maxed out on the leg press. [See Mistake #2] She goes to ask the director of the gym (who is oh so big and strong) when this could happen. She returns and explains to me that it will never happen. Never.

What the **** is the point of a mother****ing gym that doesn't have enough ****ing weights to allow its members to workout to their capacity? I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs and tell them that they better get rid of all the useless ****ing cybex machines so they can make room for another 20 treadmills, because apparently THAT is what they are shooting for. Now I need to devise another ****ing plan on how to workout my legs after I outgrow the weight that they have. [See Mistake #3]

Mistake List:
1. I shouldn't have referred to the other members of the gym as "cardio whores."
2. I shouldn't have insulted the director, indirectly, because he isn't even close to maxing out the weights on the leg press.
3. I should have asked for my cancellation form on the spot, but I didn't feel like having it out today.

Mik
06-02-2003, 12:59 PM
LMAO @ cardio whores. You should have run to the desk screaming with your wife beater and demanded they get more weights. Upon refusal you simply explain that if they do not get anymore weights you will have to bludgeon the "cardio whores" and director and toss their lifeless asses on the leg press for added weight.

I was going to post my back / bi workout from yesterday. However, after seeing the intensity and pump that you managed from this workout it seems sort of pointless. <sigh>

Excellent workout Galileo. You should have told that gym girl that she needed to help you out of your clothes so she could see how real lifters workout!

Good think you didnt ask for a glute/ham raise machine. You'd get the 'just stepped off of a space ship' look for sure.

Oh ask them if they can get a thick handled barbell and watch their eyes bug out.

I'd go see Reloaded again if I didnt hate it so much. I have a few friends who say that it is easier to ease into disconnect during subsequent viewings but I refuse to line the coffers of WB for any more Matrix products, ever.

heath : Thanks heath. I'm looking forward to upping my calories in a few months. I was doing 123 on the rows in February and now I'm back down struggling over 112. But I keep telling myself it's worth it...

rookie : Pssh. Shut the **** up Mr. seven-plate drop-set leg press. And if you saw her you wouldn't wish that upon me.

b00dyak : Heh, I know better than to ask for anything else. All I wanted was two plates...just two friggen plates. I've considered finding a way to bring my 4 45's in, but I think it will be more hassle than it is worth.

Keanu's acting aside, I thought the movie was pretty good. There are a lot of things I didn't catch the first time around. I didn't go to see an "action flick," which is why most people ended up disliking it. One of my more ignorant friends said it sucked because the fight scenes were too long and not brutal enough. Guess what? I don't give a ****. The fight scenes were a good chance for me to go piss.

What was it that you didn't like about it?

On a separate note, I put up new shelves in the living room! If you remember the picture of me (in the earlier pages 25-30 maybe) with my kitten, you'll see the picture of Dali hanging on the wall. Well that whole area was replaced by this: teh shelves compleet with hAet tiem macheen!!! (http://www.hollowmedia.com/images/newshelves.jpg)

Now we can travel through time to inflict hAet upon past and fewtcha dooshes!!1

note: On my computer at home the jpg shows up very well, but at work it looks very dark and you can't quite make out the shelves.

Afterthoughts
I'm considering altering my game plan for about a week. I will do a 7 day metabolic reset where I will attempt to choke down 8 meals with a lot more calories. I'm not hungry right now, so I don't know how well this will work, but I'm down with force-feeding. Here is my preliminary thoughts for this.

2790 kcals, 46g fat, 231g carbs, 384g protein
16oz milk, 1.5 scoops whey, 5 almonds : 360kcal, 6g fat, 30g carbs, 50 g protein
9oz chicken, 1.5oz oatmeal : 428kcal, 11g fat, 29g carbs, 55g protein
2 scoops whey, 1 banana : 329kcal, 5g fat, 32g carbs, 45g protein
2 cans tuna, 1.5oz oatmeal : 399kcal, 5g fat, 29g carbs, 57g protein
12oz turkey, 1.5oz oatmeal : 466kcal, 14g fat, 31g carbs, 64g protein
8oz cochee, 1 cup yogurt : 240kcal, 0g fat, 24g carbs, 34g protein
2 scoops whey, 1 banana : 329kcal, 5g fat, 32g carbs, 45g protein
8oz cochee, 1 cup yogurt : 240kcal, 0g fat, 24g carbs, 34g protein

Any feedback would be appreciated. I figured I would go with a mix of low and high GI coupled with much higher protein and keep lowered fat. After seven days of this I will have a surplus of 7600 calories as compared to my current diet plan. Maybe I can trick my body into thinking it's hunting season. (psst, don't tell it.)

So, I just go with 2 servings per can as my default.

The reason I didnt like it is partly because of the ho-hum fight scenes, but mostly because of the plot (see: retrograde) and the ****ing Architect.

I cannot be the only one who is unsulted by a character whose only purpose is to fully spill the beans about the entire plot in five minutes of contrived, convoluted dialogue. A good movie would explain that in the context of the film(by the way, the movie DID do that, which lends even more displeasure to my opinion of the architect scene).

It was poorly written, gimmicky, took itself too seriously. Carrie Ann Moss is ugly. Keanu Reeves and just about everybody else is wooden and horrible.
The speech in the temple took a cheese grater to my patience. Larry Fishburne is NO Portier. The dance orgy/sex scene was highly disturbing.

I have no reason to believe that the third one will be a shred better, or that the video game will have anything of substance. Like the movie, it will all be sizzle, no steak.

The first Matrix I love. It was the Illiad to the Odyssey. The birth of a hero, his induction into legend. The Odyssey was long and boring. There is a reason most people have only read half of Odysseus's journeys.

I am increasing my calories every 2 days by around 300 until I hit my 2700 max for 3 days. At that point I will determine my next plan of action. I am doing this as a metabolic reset, so with any luck the fat will come off just like it did in the beginning, starting the following week. I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't put any fat on me, which will just add to what I get to burn off.

I'd say the Odyssey is much more entertaining.

Maybe, you could change that to "the Illiad to the Aeneid."

b00d : Well at least you don't hate it solely for the fight scenes.

I find Morpheus' role to be a bit dilute now, since in the first movie he appeared to be much greater than just a captain. His speech was a bit grating, yes, but I don't think the dance scene was that bad. I agree with Jane on the fact that it was conveying humanity and symbolizing neo and trinity's act.

The architect pisses me off, but I'm not 100% sold on the story. In the first film Morpheus said that one man broke free from the Matrix and then led the others to freedom. The architect tells Neo that they restart Zion with 26 people of "The One's" choosing (which happened many times). These aren't congruent.

Throughout the film, they hint at the previous "ones." The Merovingian says to Neo that his predecessors were much more respectful. So, somewhere, someone is giving false information. I hope the third wraps it up.

Some people take movies too seriously. Just enjoy what there is to enjoy, because after all, you've already coughed up the $7 or so to watch it. It's not like it was SwimFan or Fear Dot Com. I understand your points though, since you are a film-maker and actor, you probably take your craft more seriously than a casual viewer.

homeY : Nice time to give input...after I've already packed for the day :D

But yeah, that's why I start the day off with milk and then move on to oatmeal. When I add my whey/banana meals, I'm going to try to keep them earlier in the day as well. Good luck to me!

I think such an increase in calories could be beneficial. One slightly different option is periodic refeeds as described at http://www.theministryoffitness.com/mof/library/articles/article18.htm . This type of refeed is associated with reversing some of the adaptions to dieting like the "metabolic reset" you describe. It usually involves a day or two with lots of calories and high percentage of calories from carbs.

Fun times, I was too tired to worry about abs.

45° leg press : 1ppsx8, 3ppsx5, 5p+25psx8, 5p+25psx8
6 plates per side next time. (+2 reps, +25lbs)

lying calf-raise : 100x25 [neutral], 100x25 [out], 100x25
[i]These hurt way more than 20 rep squats ever did. Rep 25 was like taking a crowbar to the leg.

leg extension : 155x8, 160x8
160 was the right number for this week. Next week I'm staying at 160 for the first set, just so I don't get sloppy (+10)

lying hamstring curl : 95x8, 95x6
These worked my lower back slightly too much, so I held back.

lateral dumbbell raise: 15x8, 20x8, 25x8
These were simple, but fun. I felt like I was going to fly away!

rear dumbbell raise: 15x8, 20x8
These were rough. I don't think I had the proper form.

hip abductor : 60x8, 120X8
This was kind of ho hum, but my groin felt slightly pulled on the low weight. I took it up to 120, but I was very careful.(+20)

barbell shrugs : 155x8, 245x3, 265x8
I did these on the smith machine, since that is all we had. It wasn't terrible, but it was a lot harder to do when compared to my trapbar. I like my trapbar far better in that regard.

This was a punishing workout. My nose was running and I was going from exercise to exercise without much rest. It took a total of 35 mins to complete and I was beat by the end.

Not much to say, but I wanted to remark that I got to "circuit train" around the guy who turned down my request for more weights today and I just happened to notice his weights.

leg extension:
him - 60lbs
me - 160lbs

hamstring curl:
him - 70lbs
me - 95lbs

lateral raise:
him - 25lbs (struggling)
me - 25lbs (smiling at him)

leg press:
him - 120lbs @ 0°
me - 500lbs @ 45°

verdict?

him - pwn3d

I would like, now, to post a retraction.

BI enlightened me to my error in my attempted litararily obscure reference to the Iliad and the Odyssey. Yes, the Odyssey was far more interesting and the Iliad blew. No, that other book, I wont even try that one.

I now have, officially, no obscure reference to which I can compare the Matrix films.

Gal: do you see a chiro regularily, or only when hurting? I was seeing one for awhile who seemed to help a little, but he didn't seem to really solve any of my problems permenently, which was frustrating.

On the chiro tip -

I think that there are two types of back pain. One is caused by spinal damage or compression and the other is caused my muscular problems. The chiropractor will certainly only have minimal effect on the latter.

I have a compressed disc, L5/S1, which is the one that bears a good deal of overhead pressure. If I don't go for a while I can definitely tell. When I go regularly, all sciatica goes away and I have no major discomfort. I can tell right away when I compress it again. I can typically go without treatment for a few months without this happening.

My chiro has a machine which uses a wand and computer to determine what is compressed and what needs aligned. Then the wand actually performs the alignment! No more cracking! You get a graphical display of your spine and the tension in certain areas. It is very cool. Best part is, it works way better than manual adjustment.

So, yes, it works very well for me. It also helps to have a chiropractor like mine, who is very into solutions such as human growth hormone. He suggested it to me at one point and he would x-ray me at various point throughout therapy to see if the disc will make any positive changes. The best part, he does it pro bono, aside from x-ray costs.

I think I have spinal imbalance, which can be seen pretty clearly in xrays. My hips are higher on one side, which can be seen throughout my body as one leg is a bit longer and one shoulder is a bit higher. I think that has resulted in muscle imbalances and whatever else, which causes me nearly constant back pain. I think I would have to be under consistent chiro care for years to fix it, which I just can't afford right now. So in the meantime, I stretch a lot and plan on trying Pete Egoscue's methods (author of _Pain Free_), just to see if it helps any.

I would like to find a chiro like yours, he sounds very empirically based on not so interested in all the voodoo stuff some chiros get into. Too bad HMOs suck and will only pay for chiro treatment that lasts just long enough to make severe pain go away.

btw - whats "pro-bono" ? Is that some weird form of porn you are into?

My throat feels way better today, so I'm in a much better mood. Aside from the intestinal cramps that I'm getting from actually eating, I'm doing well. Well, there's always the lower back bull****.

I think I've figured out why my lower back problem is chronic. When I was 14 I shattered my right ankle and leg. The doctor said it wouldn't grow as well as my left. To this day, my left leg is stronger. Yesterday when I was doing various pressing motions with my legs, I could feel more pressure on my left leg. This means when even pressure is applied, the right (shorter) side will have more pressure, causing more chance for compression. I could be totally full of **** though...

I want to do a comic today, but I have 0 time. Work is hella busy and I have to get out of here by four. I'll work for one on the weekend!

I had the most horrible weekend for diet. HORRIBLE. I was so far from my goals it is disturbing.

I need to add more food for today, but I'm not sure what. I think my protein is high enough, so I may add some carbs to the mix somewhere along the line. I may get some twizzlers and eat them with my tuna meal post-workout to keep my insulin up a little longer.

Back day and chiro, what a great combo.

bax0r/bix0r
I forgot my EC and my workout sucked.

weighted neutral chins : +0x8, +10x4, +25x8
I struggled on 8.

one arm dumbbell rows : 82x8:8, 102x8:8
I struggled on 8.

cybex rear delt/row : [wide pronated]125x8, [neutral] 130x8, 130x8
These weren't too bad. (+5, +10)

cybex lat pulldown : [wide pronated]105x8 [shoulder supinated] 110x8, 110x6
I forgot to write down what I did last week on this one and I overshot it by an extra 5lbs.

incline dumbbell curls : 35x8:8, 35x8:8
These are punishment.

Again, I left with a feeling of overworked biceps and an underworked back. I really focused on pulling the weight without relying on my arms, but it didn't seem to help. My biceps are trashed.

observations
Today is the first time I saw people in the gym other than women or the director.

I saw a guy who was quite big. Perhaps 6'1, 220lbs. A fair sized guy yet very lean. I saw this guy put 2pps on the leg press and speed rep 12 times, then go to the chest press and speed rep 80lbs (1/4 reps, mind you), then go and speed deadlift 195lbs 12 times on the smith machine. Maybe I don't know what it takes to be big. As he yanked the weight [deadlifting] up and down as hard as he could with little regard to form, I sat on the row machine in awe. After 2 sets of each exercise he left. Maybe he was doing some protocol I'm unaware of, or maybe he is trying his hand at HSHST [high speed hypertrophy specific training].

There was another guy there, much larger than me, benching 195x5 on the smith machine. He looked like he was having a little trouble.

Overall, most of the other people don't look like they even try to progress. They don't look like they want to put the effort into it. I don't know, maybe I'm just a jaded, cynical bastard.

I'm not too thrilled with my workout today. I figured that after bulking this week it would make my workouts a little simpler, but not the case.

ectx : Thank you, I just needed confirmation. The back is feeling fine, but I need to go a few more times else it'll relapse (I've learned that from past experience).

homeY : It wasn't too spectacular. It was greasy and it typically takes about 2000 calories worth to fill me.

My girl and I went through a rough spot last year, but now everything is way better. It was definitely a learning experience. I wish you luck on getting back with yours, if that is where you want to be.

I don't know, maybe I'm just a jaded, cynical bastard.Well besides the fact that your are... what about those in the gym that look like they might be trying to progress but never do? Those guys crack me up too. We have one guy at my gym that is a complete riot.

Skinny fellow, probably about ready to have a mid-life crisis or 2. Workouts every morning. Pretty much chest. I might see him doing something else but its unlikely. Doing decline all the time. Has still yet to bench 135 without tossing his butt into the air like he's trying to hump the ceiling that's 20' high. But through it all he tries to bench 225 while his spotter is half doing deadlifts, half doing upright rows because he can't quite seem to get the idea in his head that he ain't doing that weight himself.

At any rate, I find it funny. Its probably not, and I almost feel sorry for the guy but I don't want to give him advice because I don't want to have to talk to him, because he also happens to be one of the ones that likes to chit chat for way too long in between sets. He might get the wrong idea that I just want to chat or something.

He also yells and whooo's after a lift. I think its time I started yelling and screaming. Who's going to say anything to me?

galileo
06-09-2003, 02:31 PM
LOL! That is quite funny and sad. A lot of people don't understand the concepts of progressing within their means. I know there are days that I jump up a few pounds too many, but I know enough to adjust accordingly.

I am really starting think I need a training partner though. They're useful for the days you really don't feel motivated, but you need to do something. Then, I will try to bench 300 every week and he can deadlift it off of me.

WillKuenzel
06-09-2003, 02:36 PM
Then you both win! You get the negative and he gets the deadlift reps.

Your push day is his pull and vice versa. :)

That's about right for folks in my gym too. I've seen some of the same folks working out for the 2+ years I've been there and I'm not sure I can tell one bit of difference in their physique. I think it just goes to show the key is the diet and most folks simply don't want to put too much effort into that part of their training.

Do you set your shoulders when you do back work? Basically pull your shoulders back and set them, dont let your shoulder blades move. This takes the traps most extraneous arm movement out of the equation. You may also want to add another back movement and remove the bicep work. If your back feels fine and your biceps overworked something is wrong, but then again, I aint you, is me?

OOP!

I am so worked up today. After overeating for a week I feel like I'm ready for the cut again. I'm taking my calories to around 2000 and I'm really starting on the cardio. I feel like I have the Rocky going through my brain.

I've been stagnant for the last month and I feel I should be making much better progress. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong, but I'm going to make sure I stick to whatever plan I set to the letter. I did my ab pinch last night and it was still 13.5mm, but I was quite bloated in the love handle and chest area from all the carbs, so I still didn't look great. I have exactly 5 weeks to make a serious change and lose at least 1lb of fat per week, else I've failed. I refuse.

I weighed in at 173.5 this morning and 177 last night. I'm going nuts with all this weight gain. Wasn't I like 165? Am I bulking and I didn't know it? It's nice to see I'm not getting fatter and it almost seems like I've gained some muscle (although I sure as **** can't tell), but damnit I want to lose fat. ****FDIJRIFDJIOSFDJSDSDIJ****WEDKJ******OIERPE****.

bennet : Sad truths. I know I won't be falling into that trap.

budiak : I've been using more of a mental focus, never tried setting my shoulders. I will try to do tha next week. I'd much rather do that than increasing the number of exercises at this point. I added the bicep work because my biceps were underworked before. But, again, I was only doing 2 exercises at that point. I've increased my volume a bit since. Thanks for the tip, I am definitely going to try it. In fact, I just tried simulating some motions setting my shoulders and I can see a huge difference. Ace.

I will mention, that when doing bench press I lock my shoulders a bit and make sure my shoulder blades are always touching the bench. I also try to squeeze the bar like I am trying to get to the tootsie roll center. It really helps. The more I squeeze, the more fibers seem to get recruited and the stronger I become. I think that's why I love thick bar action so much.

homeY : Thanks for the compliment on the arms. I thought my back outshined them tho, but either way, I can always improve.

Chest Day and Cardio

Cardio
I went outside and got in my supa dupa muscle shirt and started my walk to the trail. It seems like the trail is about a half of a mile down the road, so it gave me some time to stretch my legs before I ran. When I hit the unpaved portion I began my sprints. It was hard as **** to sprint down a muddy hill with loose rocks, but I did so. 6 mississippi hard 9 mississippi jog, until I hit the paved area. Then I did 3 more one way, walked about a minute, then did 3 more the other way and I was good. I think in all I did around 15 intervals. I then took the long ass hike back to work, which was a good 10 minute walk. Overall it was about 25 minute venture and I loved it. The only problem is my shins feel like crap right now, but they'll get over it.

Chest and Triceps
Music : Tool - Aenima

bench press : 135x5, 165x3, 185x3, 205x8, 205x3
No spotted so I stopped short on the last set. I felt it slipping a little and I didn't want to risk it. (+5)

thickhandle incline dumbbell bench press : 75x8, 75x8
Steady progression on these, which is what I like to see. I'll be back up to the 85's (and beyond) in no time. (+2.5/side)

incline dumbbell flyes : 47.5x8, 47.5x8
Slow and painful as always (+2.5/side)

I was ready to be finished now. My triceps get plenty of work from the other ****. Good workout today.

heath : Yeah, I know it was water and all, but it is amazingly disconcerting when all I wanna do is lose fat.

On the fish oil tip, based on studies one should get roughly 10g of straight up EPA/DHA a day and my fish oil caps have about 500mg total per cap, so BAM. 10g. It fits in perfectly with my diet as well, and I have an abundance of caps.

Um......nice....sprints. (I don't think 'nice' is really the best word, considering that sprints are about as much fun as the tortures of the damned. How about.....admirable?)

Yes. Admirable sprints. You are my hero, G.

heath : No I don't f00. EPA/DHA content doesn't account for all of the fat in a single 1g pill. Each pill contains 1g of fat, but only 120mg of DHA and 180mg of EPA. The borderline is essentially 6g-10g, so I am hitting the 6g dead on.

I prefer female heath and I will definitely hit that thread up later this evening!

Well, I set my alarm for 6:00am in hopes to go for a 30 minute walk. The alarm went off, I got up to piss and realized that it was raining. **** YOU RAIN! That's OK, I am going to go for a saunter before bed. So I go to get back into bed and I slam my toenail into my girlfriend's shoe which is placed conveniently in the ****ing doorway. I scream and mother**** her shoes and then throw them into the livingroom. As I bitch, I fix the bed sheets that have come off of the edge on my side and as I slip my foot under the bed skirt I step on my cat and she claws the **** out of the same goddamned foot. So, I scream again and mother**** the cat. The morning didn't start off wonderfully.

So, I set my alarm for 7 and when it hits I had an unbelievably difficult time getting out of bed. The two sessions yesterday must've really drained me of my energy because I haven't felt this languid in a while. I finally struggled my way onto the cluttered floor and notice I am 15 minutes late getting up. So, I rush everything and make random guesses at my meal contents and get the **** out of the house. I get to work and find out that I guessed pretty damned accurately. I must be getting some extrasensory perceptions when it comes to meal planning. pwn4g3.

Today is a non-workout day, so I'm attempting to increase my fat intake and lower my carbs. I read an article on T-Mag (thanks to silles), which describes a benefit to separating carb/protein meals from carb/fat meals, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Another interesting morning. My girlfriend and I both want to get up at 6:40, so I let her get up and shower while I rest another 5-10 mins. She showered the night before, so I didn't think it would take long. 15 minutes later she gets me up...She took a goddamned 15 minute shower and I still had to shower. So, I expressed my concern and took a 3 minute ****ing shower and ran to the kitchen to fix my lunch. I guessed again with some of it, since I was in a hurry. The cat knocked over my pill splitter which knocked each of the 1/2 tablets I had split all over the ground. Again, I express my concern to the cat. Then the cat starts to ****ing claw my bed, so I beat her ****ing ass. I think she understood my concern this time. I rushed out of the house again, late and underprepared. Ugh..I gotta ****ing stop this ****.

Last night I weighed myself in jeans and shoes and got scared. I was like 183lbs, lol! I weighed in this morning at around 174 buck naked, so it was clothing and water. I thought I had been transported to some magical world where 2000 calories puts weight on me. This is a magical world that I call "thyroid dysfunction."

Today is a workout day, but I opted to take some fish oil caps with breakfast, else I won't get enough. I am back to ephedra and caffeine because on a cut I don't think the insulin sensitivity issues matter much.

I was so hungry last night between meals. I don't know why either. The fat shoulda helped that. Oh well.

I found a new love. CRYSTAL ****ING LIGHT. I got a free sample of Raspberry Lemonade. I drank 2 quarts last night, lol! It was so good.

Things that are teh win
1. Crystal Light
2. Diet Snapple Iced Teas
3. Refeed Days

HIIT Cardio [afternoon] and Shoulders/Grip [evening]

Cardio : I got on an exercise bike and tried to go fast. The gears didn't like that much, so I moved over the to elliptical. I did 1 minute warmup, 5 sets of 6h/9l, 4 sets of 15h/45l, then 1 minute low, then another 5 sets of 6h/9l. When I got off my legs were so full it was ridiculous.

So, I go into the lockerroom to shower and when I took off my shirt I noticed something. I HAD A SIX PACK! WOO HOO! It appears that the water shedding effects of cardio + ec gave me 5 minutes of glory! Too bad my love handles are starting to look worse than before. I'll never understand this ****. It was odd to see all of my abs and two giant globs of fat on the sides. I also know that I definitely need to tan. I think it'll help a ton.

Shoulders and Grip :

trapbar shrugs : 140x8, 230x3, 300x8, 300x8, 300x8, 300x8, 320x8
It's been a while since I've done trapbar shrugs. I'm better at them than I used to be. I failed hard the last rep of the last set, but I loved it. (+60lb PR, eat that bitches!)

The man who is doing a bunch of **** to my yard woke me up. ON PURPOSE. Before 8 am. To move my cars. Which I had already parked in the yard, in approved North Carolina fashion, as per his instructions yesterday. For this I'm going to pay him $350????

For $350, he should have deadlifted the car and put it down gently where he wanted it to be.

And also, he looks at my boobs.

P.S. That Alex thing actually made me laugh. Out loud. At 8:30 am. When I'm already grumpy. (And you should pack your lunch the night before, btw. No muss, no fuss, no bother. Then you only have cats and showers to contend with.)

It's been a bad week for me with cats. Damn. At about 4:30 in the morning one of the ****ers reached up and clawed my ****ing toe and it bled everywhere. Today it's all ****ing sore. I'm glad I didn't get ahold of her because I was so pissed off.

Last night some douche was looking at me when I drove by and I damned near jumped out of my car and kicked the **** out of him. I got so angry.

These stories lead me to believe I am having an angry week. I need to relax, perhaps meditate, or drink more soothing teas in the evening.

On a pleasnt note, when I got up this morning I walked into the bathroom and my girlfriend said "whoah!" I was like, eh? I looked in the mirror and I looked good. My abs were all outlined and my chest was looking ace. I was intrigued so I took some caliper measurements. My ab pinch went down to 12, chest to 4.5, and my leg to 14. I can't believe the 1 week bulk did that much good, but ****...Using my caliper 3 site + 2% formula I am around 10% (8.3% by caliper) and I definitely looked it. I've been smiling every since! What was really cool was that my girlfriend actually noticed a difference, which is rough for someone who sees me shirtless every single day. I got on the scale and it read around 172, which is decent. I used my calculator to determine what my stats looked like, but there is no way it is accurate. 16% to 8.3% (by caliper) iss -14lbs of fat and +10lbs lbm. Pfft. I don't look 10lbs thicker by any stretch, so I think I've been playing around with water weight when I was at my heaviest, but nonetheless I've gone from around 16-18% to about 10% and only lost 4lbs, so I'm doing something right.

heathERER : I used to pack it at night, but typically by the time I get settled it is time to go to bed already. I'm always over involved with everything. I do try to pack it at night when I can, but lately my diet has been simple enough not to worry about it. (2 cans tuna, 2 packs turkey, measure cocheese/fruit, measure oatmeal). I hAet when guys stare at my titties.

$350 for yard work? What the hell? I'll mow your ****ing yard for $10 + gas ;)

homey : lol! If I know lina G, she likes to flaunts what she gots! I wish I had better things to worry about in the morning. Like morning sex! That would make my day a whole lot brighter. But, unfortunately, that'll ne'er be a reality. :(

I also had some sugar-free flavorific jello last night. Schweet black jesus that **** is good...and cheap too!

I'm going to try my squat belt on the smith machine today. It seems promising since the balance is built in. I'll have to get used to not going ATF on the squats. It is so much easier to gauge ROM with ATF though. I can look in the mirror to judge and use markings on the machine to be consistent. I don't plan on using a lot of weight, just getting used to it.

Legs and Abs

SuperSquats Belt Squats : ...
These didn't work out too well. I couldn't get low enough to hit parallel and my knees ached from them.

45° leg press [with calf-raise superset]: 1ppsx8[x25], 3ppsx5, 6ppsx8, 6p+5psx8
PR, w00t! These weren't bad, but the calf-raises hurt my ankle a little. Still not totally recovered from the sprinting. (+40)

lying calf-raise : 105x25 [neutral], 115x15[neutral]
My calves were d34d.

leg extension : 160x8, 150x8
I think the cardio is affecting my recovery a bit, but oh well.

lying hamstring curl : 95x8
Same.

hip abductor : 70x8, 130x8, 150x8
I could still do more. (+30)

leg raises (to toes) : 10
knee raises : +0x10, +0x10
These burned nicely, which still shocks me.

Not the best day, but I am wearing myself out with trying to get lean.

homey : I <3 my Mesa! Mmmmm.

It didn't hurt my back at all, but I couldn't get anywhere near parallel without the bar hitting the stops (which were on the lowest setting. Plus, it put weird pressure on my knees, but I bet if I played around I could fix that part. I didn't wanna waste my entire workout ****ing around with the smith machine so I just moved on to the leg press before my ephedra wore off.

I am flipping OUT and OFF, since I am kickin it ninj4 style. It's totally insanely sweet!

I didn't do much this weekend. I refed for about 36 hours and that's about all. I way overdid the refeed though, lol. I must've gotten 6000 calories each day. I baked a fat-free cheese cake and ate it. Then I made some barbeque chicken pita pizzas and ate them (fat-free mozarella, w00t!). A few litres of coke, some fat-free ice cream, tons of turkey and whey, and whatever else I could find that didn't have fat in it. I've never felt hungry like this on any of my previous refeeds. After a solid 10 hours of non-stop eating I started seeing things like monkey heads and cheese-graters. Bling? Yes...bling.

I'm going to take it much easier next week if I opt to refeed. This weekend was sponsored by Satan©.

This will be back day. So it is written, so it is done.

bax0r/bix0r

weighted neutral chins : +0x3, +15x3, +30x8
These felt nice and strong. The last rep was hard, as it should be.

one arm dumbbell rows : 55x12:12
I forgot my dumbbell handle, so I just used the heaviest dumbbell they had to warmup. I should've brought some electrical tape and taped the two 55's together. THEN they'd understand! ONLY THEN!!!!

cybex rear delt/row : [wide pronated]130x8, [neutral] 135x8, 140x8, 140x8
I did the lock-shoulder technique that budiak described. It made the motion a bit harder as it eliminated my traps, but I liked it a lot.

cybex lat pulldown : [parallel handle]100x8, 110x8 [shoulder supinated] 115x8
I used the parallel grip handle this week to see how it felt. Surprisingly weaker than I thought. Still, whatever.

cybex bicep curl 1/4 curls: 40x8, 50x8, 55x8
OK, first I put on 60lbs and did one rep. It was very very easy at the bottom but I couldn't complete the motion, so I thought about it and realized that strengthening the end of the motion will do me a lot of good. I lowered the weight and did 1/4 curls and squeezed like ****. I couldn't move my arms when I went into the locker, but this time it was quasi-intentional.

cybex rear delt/row : 120x8
I threw in another set at the end try to kill teh back! KILL!!!!!!1

I feel g00d. I looked at my back in the mirror after the workout and it was either really pumped or just really ubah, cause it had lots of cool ripples and bumps and ****. Then...

observations
After I showered I was getting dressed and some guy I know from the department came in (obviously to ****). So he says hello, shocked to see someone in there at that time, and he goes in the stall. He blows his nose and stands there. Then he tries to make idle conversation, for what reason I'm not sure, but he says, "So you're working out now?" I wanted to ****ing dropkick the stall door open, grab him by his greasy hair, slam his head off of the toilet, take the seat up and slam it down on his face repeatedly, then rinse off the blood by shoving his head in the bowl and flushing until he died. I ****ing hate everyone. Why the **** do people ask me questions like that? Do I look like I just started working out? Apparently so. Does it matter that I was less than 150lbs last October and today I weighed in at 178? Guess not. JSFDIJSDIJSIOJDSOIJ!opdsajfopajkosad. There.

Anyhow, so he stands in there and blows his nose a few more times. Apparently he was waiting for me to leave, either out of courtesy or embarrassment. So like the nice asshole I am, I left and fixed my self up in the other bathroom, so he wouldn't have to stand there another 10 minutes. GAWD people piss me off.

I went to a party on Friday night and hung out for a while. I didn't drink at all, because of my uber self-control. Around 2 in the morning some guy I rarely speak with asked me to come outside and chat. When he gets drunk he is all about heart to hearts. He begins to tell me that he thinks I should take up Tai Chi because I am bitter and I take my anger out on people. What the ****?!?! I've hung out with the guy maybe 3 times and he's going to tell me about my character flaws? I told him that everyone has ups and downs and I usually vent mine with my girlfriend or Jeff. I am not mean, but when someone disrespects me or my friends I let them know. Does that make me bitter? No. That makes me a reactionary **** who hates when other people think they are too good for someone. If someone does something, I call them on it. Big deal. At least I don't take everyone's ****. That's not how my mamma reared me. So, this obviously made me pissed off and bitter. If you don't understand me, don't try to ****ing fix me you ****ing assface ****scab mother****er. I dont know about you but I am pretty damn bitter. In fact, I'm bitter and I dont trust anybody. It helps keep you from getting screwed at the expense of making a friend a minute. Who needs friends? They screw you the most. The older I've gotten, the fewer friends I have. I figure the fewer friends you have, the fewer people are going to try to give you heart to hearts. Of course you wont have anybody to bail you out of jail, so its always good to keep one friend around, or get a wife somehow, probably from Russia or some other Slavic nation.

**** Yoga and Pilates, bitter is better. You're perfectly right for being angry and filled with rage.

At one point in my life I doubted religion, spirituality, the meaning of life, and the existance of heaven and hell. That part has long passed, but yesterday has reinforced my believes that hell really does exist. Hell is standing up in an overly lit coffin listening to 3 different remixes of fitty-centz' "in da club." Yes folks, I tanned for the first time yesterday. It was an odd odd experience.

I walk in and go up to the counter and a woman who is probably 25, but looks 45 doesn't even look up at me from her issue of Cosmopolitan. After making a slight half-cough noise she looks up and says, "Name?" I tell her and she instructs me to go to booth #1. I look at her funny and say, "Uh, first time?" She then says, "Oh sorry, it is in the back. Black button." Not even as much as a ****ing finger point. So I start to walk back to the booths and she screams, "Don't go in 1! Go in 2!" Lovely. I almost walked in on some middle aged woman trying to recapture the glow of her youth by burning the **** out of her outer layers. So I approach space-pod #2 and slowly open the door. I walk in then slowly open the booth to make sure no one is in there. Good, safe. I fuss with the lock for about a minute until it finally secures, then I take off my clothing about 3" from a full length mirror. You know what I don't want to see? A full length copy of myself naked in an unflattering light. ****ing communists. Ok, so now I'm naked and I look down and realize I need to trim up the forest a bit. I step into the booth and search aimlessly for this fabled black button. I find it and then assume position. I thought that there would be maybe a 1-2 second delay (like flourescent lights) from when I pushed the button until they came on. WRONG. No sooner than I had my finger hovering over the ****er did the goddamned things blind the **** out of me. I hurried up and closed my eyes and stood in the intense light. A fan blew overhead, which was a nice breeze at first, but as the lamps heated up the air turned from cool to fairly warm. I had no idea what I was doing so I just rotated myself like a rotisserie chicken every couple minutes. Sometimes I'd switch it up and hold the handles, sometimes I'd cover my schlong, sometimes I'd just stand there. Let me tell you though, this is a paranoid schizophrenic nightmare. The entire time I could picture the lady at the desk telling some hog to go to booth #2 and as the wilderbeast opens the door (because of my incompetent door-locking skill) she begins pointing and laughing at me because of my unkempt pubic hair. The lights finally shut off and I step out and look at myself. I'm slightly red, but nothing big. I get dressed and go up front and have a chat with the 17 year old girl who has had one too many tanning sessions. She asks my name and tries to find my card, blah blah, I ask her how often so I don't burn for the beach in 4.5 weeks, she says at least twice a week, blah blah. Then she tells me I am kind of "fair." That's tanning shop lingo for "****ing pale." **** you you ****ing joto bitch! I'll ****ing make you suck on my pale, untrimmed balls! So I go ahead and make my next appointment.

This morning I wake up and look in the mirror. I'm tan! Well, tan, red, and white. My shoulders are burnt to a crisp, my chest and stomach are pretty tan, and my back is pale as a ghost. WTF? I rotated, damnit! I got in the shower and the warm water felt like a caustic acid pooring over my flesh. Apparently 8 minutes was a bit too long, but since the bitch didn't even say more than 5 words to me before I went in, I guess she wouldn't know that I burn quite easily. So, I go back thursday and this time I get to try a bed. There is something that I don't like about laying naked on glass that other people sweat all over just 5 minutes before me. The girl said I would tan better and more evenly there, so I said "ok fine." I don't know **** about it, so I just agreed.

The entire time I could picture the lady at the desk telling some hog to go to booth #2 and as the wilderbeast opens the door (because of my incompetent door-locking skill) she chuckles at me because of my unkept pubic hair.

The girl said I would tan better and more evenly there, so I said "ok fine." I don't know **** about it, so I just agreed.[/size]

LMFAO!!!! HAHAHA. Thanks bro, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Priceless.http://mindscraps.com/s/contrib/turb/milk.gif

I tan in the stand up booth. There ain't a snowball's chance in hell I'm laying down in that crap. Tan more evenly my white ass. You'll get lines. Just grab the handles and stand still. You shouldn't have a problem. And 6 minutes might be a better time frame for the first couple of sessions.

Get a tan enhancer for your back. And buy some goggles for your eyes. I hate tanning because I feel so freaking weird walking up into that joint. Yes I'm a guy. No, I'm not gay. Yes, I shave my legs. Again, no, I'm not gay. I used to have a bad stereo type for those guys that tanned.

I feel violated every time I leave that place. Good luck.

First of all... :spam: :D

Second, I love tanning. Its relaxing, its gets my pastey white ass not so pastey white, the girls at the place I go are nicer than a fat kid to a toddler with a candy bar and they're cute too. There are tons of guys there so there's no awkwardness at all. Maybe the place you're going just isn't "good"... lol

Justin : You're quite welcome. I enjoy sharing my pain with others.

homey : I will likely ask for the booth then. I don't want lines. I'll just face my back to the lamps more the next time. I don't know how yours is, but this one has lamps on 3 sides and the door has nothing, so if I just stand still I'll get an uneven side. I don't want to use the goggles, because I think the raccoon look is so last year. I can keep my eyes closed for 8 minutes, damnit. :)

workwhores : This place used to be uber, according to my girlfriend. The owner doesn't work the desk anymore so I guess their customer service has gone sub-par. It would be relaxing if I had my own music and I wasn't such a paranoid ****. Maybe if I was even slightly attractive to the opposite sex, they would treat me a little better...I dunno. And there was 1 guy there. Me. I live in hickville and I'd probably get jumped by Bubba and tha' gang if they saw me come out of the "electric beach."

Ahhh, the one I go to is 8 sided with lights on each side. Pretty easy to use. The door has lights on it so I'm completely surrounded by the scalding bright light. My back and abs are tanning pretty good but my upper arms and ass aren't tanning at all. I look pretty funny at the moment. :(

I don't mind the raccoon look. It brings out the bags under my eyes quite nicely.

Body hair sucks. Cover yourself in duct tape, and connect the last part to a pickup. Just have one of your buddies drive off, problem solved.

I'm laughing at you, not with you.

I'm still trying to rid myself of the mental image of you spinning around in the tanning booth schlong in hands.
