Quick Laptop Question

I'm not sure when it started happening, but as of recently my laptop won't run when not plugged in. I'm sure it's just a setting that got accidently changed, and nothing serious. Anyone know where I can go to check it, or what I can do to fix it. This is what happens when you let your mom use the computer! :whip:

How old is the laptop? I have an older one, battery is dead and wont take a charge; I have to always have it plugged in, just like a normal PC

Try to reseat the battery, if that doesn't work then it's the battery or the motherboard (where the battery connects to).

Take the battery out, plug it in, turn it on, turn it off and put the battery back in. Sometimes the batteries get anal if it is plugged in for a long period of time.
