Over your maintenance in calories is sufficient to gain weight. What does your diet look like?

I *really* hope you meant 3000 calories.

Even if he did mean 3000, that isn't much to bulk on. Unless he weighs 120lbs I would bet he could use more.

^^
Everyone's caloric needs are different, but judging from the fact that he's trying to put on weight with a weight gainer supplement, his calories are probably insufficient as they currently stand.
all i got to say is that, over the past 2 months, (i've been usin for about 5-6 weeks) ive put on over 15 lbs

If you weren't eating enough calories, even though you were taking Cytogainer, you wouldn't have gained 15 pounds. This says nothing for the product. It just means it helped you go over maintenance enough to be sufficient for weight gain.

weight gainer is such a bad term for those powders.
similar thing happened when my friend turned into a vegetarian (but he only eats crappy foods like pizza and pasta) and i recommened he supplement with some protein powder. he was afraid he was going to get huge and ripped by just taking 2 scoops of protein a day to his proteinless diet when he doesnt work out and he wanted to just stay a skinny kid.
just because you are taking weight gainer doesnt mean you will gain weight, and in the case of my friend, just because you are taking protein in powder form doesnt mean you'll pack on muscle

There's nothing magical in the product which makes you grow. The same number of calories from food or any other supp would have given the same results. You can't attribute the results to cytosport or any other weightgainer.
