Age: 22 Height: 5'8" Current weight: 161

Background: 2.5 years ago I weighed 200+ lbs. I drastically reduced calories and did a lot of cardio. Over the next 6 or 8 months I dropped to 146 lbs. I lost a lot of muscle and after staying at 146 for a while I decided to head into a gym to fix that. I've been bulking for about 8 or 9 months and am at 161.

Stats: start/current (not maxes)
BB bench -90/165x5
Squat atf -160/245x4
Deadlift -120/295x4

200+ (Ignore the guy trying to drill my butt)

Let me know what you think. I'd love if someone could help me estimate my body fat % also. The chest circumference equation gave me about 19%. I am feeling a little too fat and I will probably start cutting in January.

Edit: Oh yea, if you have critique, please let me know. I'm open to listening. If I need (or you are curious) to post my workout in addition, let me know.

no higher than 14%, good progress so far, keep up the good work, i don't see a reason to cut yet, as you are pretty lean.

I know I'm not incredibly fat, I just feel fat. I'm pretty happy where I am strength-wise. I have never been ripped or even really tone in my entire life (usually chubby/fat). I want to see where I am without the fat. I know my muscles aren't going to be amazing, but it would be really nice to feel ok about taking my shirt off in public for once in my life.

Edit: I also look very different when I'm not flexing. or if I put my arms at my sides.
Like this flexing, but arms down.

Clothed photo's are usually pointless... as a guy who's 220 8% and a guy who's 220 %14 percent could be mistaken for each other given the same height.

Also as a hint, resize those bad boys to something less then 800x600... probably half that would do.

I apologize for the large pictures (damn nikon D70 and it's 6.1 megapixels). They have been resized. I also apologize for the clothed ones. I have no other pictures for reference. I really wish that I had recorded my changes more closely.

You ask what we think, but we don't know your goal. Are you trying to get into bodybuilding, fitness, or just loose weight? We can't tell you where you need improvment if we don't know your goal. If your just trying to loose weight, good work you have improved, just keep doing what you have been doing. Bring your protein intake up.

lose weight, sorry its an attention problem I have.

Anyhow, don't apologize man... just giving you some pointers.

You should be able to gauge by the mirror what types of changes you've made. Thats a lot of weight to lose.

Goals: My current goal is to bulk up to 165 by the end of December, then cut to 155 without strength loss (I want to look decent for a little while) Long term goal? 175lbs or something close at ~10% body fat. Build strength while remaining agile. I have an interest in Jiu Jitsu and other grappling. I'd like to move into a striking form at one point. I suppose physically fit is my main long term goal. I'd like to create a way of life that will help me remain fit and hopefully look decent. Getting stronger has already made the menial aspect of life easier. I want to continue that. Sorry if I was not clear before.

Hairy? Yea... always have been.

It's perfectly normal to feel fat for a while. I never was fat, but I used to have a lil' bit of fat, not really too noticable but even after I lost it all a while back I still felt like I was a fatty hehe. Still do kinda...I guess. Even though...I guess I am cut as hell atm, in my pic

I feel like I've lost a decent amount of my agility from when I was doing cardio everyday when I was at 146lbs. I'd gladly trade it for the strength I have now though. I'm still planning on starting a cut in the beginning of January. I just want to look good for one summer.

And in response to your profile picture: Fatty fat.... j/k You look pretty damn cut in that pic.
