This is my first year wrestling and therefor the first year to deal with worrying about my wieght. If creatine lets water into your cells then wouldnt dropping water weight wouldnt i lose strength? (I'm not on creatine by the way but I will be as soon as wrestling is over, i have no room for extra wieght now.)

if you drop your weight slowly then you shouldnt lose much strength from my experience

Water weight doesn't increase you strength.

Creatine is a precursor for anaerobic metatbolism.

So if your not supplementing with creatine now you wont notice a difference.

Do a search on creatine, its been covered 1000 times more then necessary.

Water weight can by cycled by depleting carbohydrates. Cut them back 3-4 days before a match and then carb up after weighing in. Drink plenty of water while your consuming carbs before that match as well.

Easiest answer is to lose fat so that water wont be an issue.

If its your first year wrestling, don't worry about cutting water weight. If you have some extra body fat, go on a bit of a diet, but honestly you should worry more about learning the sport. There are good wrestlers at every weight class, and dropping down a few doesn't mean you'll be any better, *especially* if you're new.
