Hi All

I am a type 1 Diabetic on a Insulin Pump and have been diabetic for 17 years. I have just recently gotten back into training after a 3 year break and I looking for some advice.

I want to gain approx 7 kg to become 82 kgs but I am unsure of taking protein powder due to Kidney strain. Does anyone have any suggestions for 150 grams of natural protein a day?

Do other diabetics find weight gain hard?

What is a recommended high protein low carb snack pre workout?

Cheers

Suggestions for 150g protein?

egg whites
tuna
chicken

... really, even without protein powder, if you're eating around 3000 calories a day, I wouldn't expect too many troubles getting the protein.

Recommendation for high protein low carb pre workout snack?

Peanut butter, maybe. I'd say go low glycemic index carbs pre workout and suggest beans, but you maybe can't eat beans?
