I have some r-ala 200mg pills and it says to take 1 pill 3 times a day, and to help with building muscle take 2 pills with creatine 30 mins after workout. If the only reason why I'm taking the pills is to help build muscle, should I only take them after workouts and not waste my money taking it 3 times a day?

They won't do anything for your muscles so it doesn't matter when you take them. In the future you should only buy from companies that sell products that do what they claim.

the evidence on rALA is not conclusive. It may act to upregulate glucose receptors on the cell surface and therefore increase glycogen storage efficiency and decrease serum glucose levels. It in itself has no growth inducing properties (no evidence it stimulates IGF release)
