Besides the taste, is there any reason why protein powder should not be consumed in powder form?
I find that what I am using now tastes better when not mixed in with milk or water, but is actually quite tasty in powder form.

I've never done it myself...but I've heard a few people on this website say that they do it.
I can't see a big harm in it.

If you have a big mouthful of protein powder in your mouth and you sneeze...that would be fun.
i dont see y i would be bad but make sure to drink plenty of water after ward or before to help you kidneys out

It is instantly going to dry your mouth out so badly you'll think you haven't had anything to drink in days. I make peanut butter and protein powder sandwiches and if it's not spread thin enough I end up hacking.

I once drank a carton of egg beaters for a postworkout meal at work b/c I was in a rush
It was one of the large cartons.

Not really at all.
The extreme salty taste was what made it gross.
I have also blended up tuna in milk and oats....sometimes wheat flour instead. (don't ask)
Oh yeah, blended up a cooked sweet potato one time and sucked that down too. I don't recommend it. Maybe it needed some butter.
Actually, I start my carb up for UD2 tonight and am out of dex...so I just finished blending milk, 1 scoop rocky road whey, 1 package pistacio fat free/sugar free pudding mix, and 1 cup white flour. That was actually damn good.

for UD2?
oh...from the book Lyle McDonald wrote. An extreme cutting diet (called Ultimate Diet 2.0) that involves eating only half maintenace calories each day (with around 50g carb/25g fat/rest protein) from Monday until Thursday night. Then carbing up thurs to friday night with about 1600g carbs (for me at least). Relatively normal diet on Saturday and lower carb/very high fat/high pro on Sunday.
And repeat.
gotcha- abbrivations always get me and names of stuff -explain it to me and ive probally heard of it- i need to work on my memeory

I tried making a pb and whey protein powder (chocolate ON) sandwich before. I covered 4 slices of bread with pb and filled it in with the powder. If I didn't have a glass of milk I would have choked to death from the thickness. It didn't taste too bad. I will probably never do it again though.
