Where to start? I was having problems keeping my lifting together. My family life was horrible on top of a lot of other things.

Good news is, i just moved in with my aunt and uncle about a week ago and it's going great. My appetite has finally come back and everything.

I went out and bought myself a gym membership here in Woodstock this week. It's a kick ass place. It's brand new and has everything i need. There's some cool people there too. I started eating extremely well at the beginning of this week, but then the past two days my appetite went to crap. My girlfriend and i aren't together anymore and it hasn't been easy. The past two days were the roughest and i didn't eat much. It's alright though. That's behind me at this point and i'm good to go.

My buddy from Northern Illinois University is coming home for winter break today so he's going to get a one month membership at my gym. This month is gonna kick ass. We're gonna tear it up. There's no doubt in my mind that these next months are going to be insane.



Enough talking. Matt and i are heading to the gym tonight to get his membership and have an upper body workout. I'll post the workout later tonight when i get home.

Man, i'm just looking at my signature right now =/. I can't say my stats are the same right now as they were months ago. I'll also be posting my weight with every journal entry. When i did my squat workout two nights ago, i was 148lbs on the good scale in the locker room. I can't believe i weigh 148.

This machine is weird. It uses some ammount of my bodyweight along with the weight you put on.


Good workout. I also did a set of curls but i didn't mention them. I would usually do a few sets of some kind of curls but i had to get going today.

I'm eating really good and my lifts are already coming up.. even though they are looking pretty weak hah. I'm not missing any workouts at all. Tomorrow is upper body day. Gonna do some barbell benching and then the rest.

I'm finally starting to feel like i lift weights again haha. I'm feeling pretty damn good and still looking pretty big even for my lousy bodyweight.. i think.

In other news, there are some fiiiiiiine young women at this gym that i plan to talk to haha. There's this one specific girl who works a lot of the nights. She has to be my age, 18 probably. 10/10. I have to talk to her haha.

151 at 5'9 and your big ?? You must be hella lean either way this looks like it could get interesting in here. Nice strength/bodyweight ratio BTW.

Keep it up, and don't sweat the chick.. its her loss. I had to learn that the hard way.

Haha did i say i was big? I said that i think i'm still looking pretty big for my weight. That was my opinion. Look at my profile picture. I'm very similar to that now. I feel i'm looking pretty good for around 150lbs, that's what i meant. Other people guess my weight to be 160-165. And i'm not trying to brag here.

And yeah, the chick.. I've been feeling A LOT better about the breakup. Living in a new house and having the girlfriend stress gone is going well hah. This is the happiest i've been in a long while.

Wow. I could have done the last couple reps on the last set, but my left side delt was giving out. It's happened before, but rarely. My left side delt got so exhausted and worn out. What was i doing that was making me work it so much?

Overall

I can't say it was a bad workout. It was pretty decent, but i felt like complete crap. I've had a flu bug thing lately and i wasn't feeling too well. It's alright though.

I skipped chinups today and did a little extra tri work. If i had to pick one thing that i think is lagging at all, i would pick my arms. They are definitely behind now.

I'm tired. I'm gonna jump in the shower to wake my ass up and then head out.

Kevin - Hell yeah man. My workouts have been real intense. I've been getting in there and tearing it up and getting outa there. It's goin' good.

With tomorrow being christmas, i did Monday's workout today. Next workout is upper on Tuesday.

Lower Body

Hell yeah. Movin' on up! I'm moving up every workout so it's goin' good. The 205's felt damn good. My form is feeling good too.

Only problem was/is my lower back is still giving me problems. I bothered it a couple weeks ago at work (lifting heavy logs) i think. I haven't wanted to skip any working out though so i've just been pushing through it. All my forms are really good right now, including squats. It didn't bother me at all while squatting except the first warmup set it was tight.

Leg Press

First time ever using that guy hah. Felt pretty good.

I did about four sets of bicep curls here... a couple different excercises, but i don't feel like typing it out hah.

The workout was on the shorter side but it still kicked ass. I've been fighting off a cold here, so i'm still sick. I wasn't going to skip the workout though. The squats kicked ass. Next week, a couple sets of 8 x 215 anyone? :D

Weight - 154lbs

I'm up 6lbs in less than two weeks :D. I know a lot of that is water weight, but still. I've been eating good. I'm getting to at least 165-170 within the next two months. Screw 165. 170 it is!

I'm still pumped about the squats. My form is feeling dead on. The 205's were going up faster than the 185's last workout. And on thursday i'm pulling some big deadlift numbers. Well, bigger than anything i've pulled in a long time.

I love working out at this gym too. It beats the hell outa working out at home. I meet some cool new people every time i workout too.

Time to eat some food and then later hit up the relatives for christmas money haha.

Long time no see buddy. Thanks for the support.

So christmas has been going pretty good. I made some nice cash, which i'm going to spend most on new clothes. It's probably not the brightest idea. I like my clothes, especially my shirts, to be "fitted." In a month i'm not going to be able to fit into the shirts i buy tomorrow haha. Oh well.

The eating is still going good and overall i'm feeling great when it comes to lifting. Tomorrow i'm hitting up upper body day and we'll see what i weigh too.

First time trying these standing cable fly things. Felt pretty good.

Good workout. I didn't row because i decided to hit my tri's and stuff a little harder. I'll be rowing next workout for sure. My back is one of my strong points though and my arms are a little behind nowadays.

Anyways, while doing flat DB benching (which i just started again last week), my left side delt tires out BIG TIME. I really feel it getting worked a lot and in the middle of my second set, which is 75s, it totally gets worn out. If my left side delt didn't give out i would be able to do a couple more reps. It is completely shot after that second set. Any ideas or suggestions?

Weight as of yesterday - 154lbs

Next workout is tomorrow. Deadlifts. I expect to at least be 155 again hah.

I haven't updated in a week or so, but i haven't missed any workouts. I've been doing good. I just haven't updated because i've had so much going on. I can't live at my aunt and uncles any longer. I have no idea what i'm going to do. I spent the past two nights here at my friend Ashley's house.

Lifting has been solid though. My numbers are almost where they used to be.

I squatted sets of 225 on Monday. They weren't really difficult at all. My squat form has never felt better. I've gone up a good 15lbs every workout in the past weeks. I'll probably do 235 for sets on Monday. I'm pretty pumped.

I did some 5 x 5 benching on Tuesday with 185. I can't say it was easy. It was pretty hard. I used to bench a bit more still, but it's coming along. I couldn't do 5 x 5 with 175 two weeks ago haha.

I don't feel like typing out the workout from today becuase it was kind of a lame workout. It wasn't lame but i skipped deadlifts. I'm letting my lower back heal up a bit, so i skipped deads. I'll definitely be doing em next thursday though. My lower back is actually feeling way better now.

I front squatted today though. I did some sets at 165 and then this huge dude came up and started talking to me. It was pretty sweet. He was impressed that i was front squatting. He said that i'm the only guy at this gym that he's seen front squat besides himself. He said my form was really good too. The 165's weren't easy, but he talked me into doing a set of 6 at 185 then, so i did. He said he didn't help me at all, so that was pretty good.

I ended up talking to that guy for the rest of the workout. He was about my height, 5'9 and a real lean 235, 32 years old. He was telling me about how he used to compete and all. He really knew what he was talking about too. Sometimes i meet some big dude on juice he really doesn't know a whole lot, but this guy did.

Anyways, i'm 155lbs now. One pound heavier hah. I'm eating real good today. I'm still shooting for 175 by summer.

I'm still alive! My internet access has been limited so i haven't been able to post my workouts.

Lifting has never been better though.

I'm doing sets of 8 at 185 for benching again. Last squat workout i did 225 x 8, 235 x 8, 225 x 8 and they weren't that difficult at all. My squat form is feeling insanely good right now. I've taken some time off from deadlifting because my back has been bothering me a bit. I did deadlift today though and did a solid 315 x 6, not to failure. I think i'll just raise it up 10lbs every week for 6 reps.

My weight today was about 157.5. That means i'm up 10lbs this month.

Upper Body day tomorrow. I'm ready to do it now hah.

Thanks holywars. Things are working out pretty well right now. My uncle and i just had to talk about some stuff and now i'm living there again. I just set up my room and all so that's good.

My buddy newman and i just got back from old country buffet. My god i'm having problems breathing. :D

Newman and I are going to do our upper body workout in a little bit here. It'll be good. I should have some more gains today. We'll have to see what i weigh today too.

Then after the workout we're heading up to northern. Newman's goin back to school and we're gonna party it up this weekend.

I gotta be honest, my eating was horrible over the weekend. It was one of the funnest weekends of my life though. Newman and I hit up some insane parties at NIU. It was a blast haha.

I just had my first day of college today and it was pretty good. I'm still at the college now. I'm gonna head home and get some food, then i'm off to the gym.

Lifting is kicking ass.

All my lifts are still improving. I benched 205 for 6 solid reps on Friday. I plan to rep 215 for some good reps this week.

I have a lower body workout today, so i'll see what i weigh then. I stopped taking creatine a week and a half ago. My weight should be real close to 160 though. My eating has been kicking ass. 160 this week for sure.


p.s. math class is boring. I got an A on my first english paper though. :D

I was a little disappointed when i weighed in at 156lbs yesterday. I know what eating good is, and i've been doing it. I may have dropped a little more water weight from being off of creatine now. Who knows. Either way, 160 by mid next week.

Monday i deadlifted. 315 x 8. I'm for sure going to up the weight and lower the reps next time. My shins are scraped to hell haha. My deadlift form hasn't been feeling the greatest since i started up again. It used to be my most comfortable lift. My real wide sumo stance feels horrible now, so i moved my feet in closer. It's still sumo style but my feet are a lot closer now. It feels *okay*.

Last night i benched and did upper body. I benched 185 x 8 for two sets, so i guess that's where i'm at with the benching.

Now that i'm in school and have computer access, i'm gonna actually start posting my workouts again. I have squats tomorrow and upper on friday.
